DESCRIPTION
This compact 400 ton press was designed and
built for a company for use in several oper
ations. The press is equipped with a variable
pressure control to control the speed of the ram
movement as well as precise control over ram
location and pressure.
This multi-purpose control allows for use in hob-
bing, straightening, assembling, pressing in
shafts, and die try out work.
When used as a hob press, the heavy gauge
metal guard is brought down around the platen
area.

When used for heated platen work, bronze shoes
riding on a flat on the inside of the columns
PRESS & MACHINE
may be adjusted to compensate for expansion
under heat.
The press features the standard Greenerd
rugged solid wall cast cylinder bored and honed
to size.
