These GreenBrook Weatherproof Switches are designed specifically for use where damp or dusty conditions may be encountered.
Engineered to perform in dirty environ­ments, in industry, farms, gardens, beside swimming pools, indeed wher­ever exposure to dust or splashing water may be encountered. These tough, durable items are easily installed. The switches are protected to IP44 standard. The units are injection moulded in polycarbonate ensuring high resistance to impact in extremes of temperature.
1. This product should be installed by a competent person (e.g. qualified electrician) in accordance with these instructions and in compliance with the appropriate clauses of the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
2. The electrical supply must be disconnected prior to installation or maintenance.
3. Where metal conduit is used, earth continuity must be maintained with the use of a suitable earth link.

2. Ascertain the required position for the unit. Remove rocker switch plate (grey) by inserting a small flat bladed screwdriver either side of the switch and lever off. Unscrew the 2 s
crews and remove the switch cover thereby exposing the switch module. Remove the switch module by pulling firmly.
3. Using the pre-drilled holes in the base unit, screw the base unit into the required position.
4. 20mm compression glands for cable entry to switch units should be used to maintain IP rating.
5. These switches have screwless terminals and are intended for use with solid conductors.

6. Strip back 13mm of insulation from each wire and push lengths fully into appropriate terminals. Ensure earth conductor is sleeved with green / yellow sleeving and secured to the earth terminal.
7. Once the unit has been wired, re-fit the switch module to the base unit and re-secure the switch cover. Tighten with the 2 screws.
8. Push rocker switch plate (grey) back into position ensuring correct orientation.
9. Do not use solvents or acids to clean the box as these may attack the plastic used. The exterior should
be cleaned only by using a mild solution of detergent and warm water.
