INSTALLATION & OPERATION
Do not drill the body for mounting purposes.
Drilling the body will invalidate the warranty, ONLY use the fixing
ethods provided. Please ensure that the rated voltage and
m
frequency of the luminaire is compatible with the supply.

This luminaire should only be mounted by means of the surface

fixing clips or suspension loops. Only luminaires bearing the
mark symbol are suitable for mounting on combustible surfaces.
. The fixing centre points for this luminaire are located on the

mounting bracket. Choose a suitable location and fix the
mounting brackets, using the wall plugs, screws and washers
provided.

• Please read these instructions carefully before installation and

• This unit should be installed by a competent person and in
accordance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
• Always turn off the supply before commencing work.
• This appliance must be earthed.
• All luminaires are complete with electronic ballast.

If suspended the supplied suspension clips must be used with a
suitable cable suspension system, capable of bearing the weight of
the luminaire. The luminaire can also be wall mounted.
Note: The bracket position can be adjusted to give a minimum and
maximum fixing centre measurement.

Operating Conditions:
These Luminaires are suitable for a temperature range of to -15°C
to 30°C.
2. Before fitting the luminaire body to the mounting brackets, fit
the toggle clips to the body.
3. Fit the luminaire body to the mounting brackets.
4. Insert the mains cable through the gland then tighten the lock
nut to the luminaire body, making sure there is sufficient cable
to reach the terminal block.

. Fix the lamp holders into the tray.

6. Attach the gear tray safety cable - this stops the gear tray from
falling, leaving both hands free.
7. Connect supply to the terminal block as illustrated, making sure
the cable is secure with no bare wires showing, also ensure
correct polarity.
Note: Any additional power feed cables should be retained in such a
way to prevent contact with the ballast.
11. Close the diffuser by fastening all the toggle clips securely.

12. Switch on the mains power to test.
Complete Assembly
MAINTENANCE
. Regular cleaning of the luminaire, especially diffusers and

replacement of lamp(s) are recommended to ensure maximum
efficiency. When cleaning use a soft cotton cloth. Do not use
chemical solvents.
2. In the case of tube failure, switch off the power of the luminaire
and wait for the tube to cool completely. Replacement is a
reverse of steps 8, 9 and 10 of these instructions. Always replace
with the correct tube for the luminaire. Please ensure the old
lamp is carefully disposed of, it may be subject to regulations by
the Local Authority or Health and Safety Executive.

8. Fully attach the gear tray, making sure the clips of the gear tray
fastening mechanism are fully located and secured.
9. Fit the correct size and wattage tubes (not supplied).
