Important&Notices:!
The proper care and maintenance of your RoboReel Water Hose Reel requires that you do the following:
Release Water Pressure Before Winding:
Please remove any non-RoboReel nozzles (if you are using your own) from the end of the hose before retracting the hose, and make sure that the unit does not wind in while water is still flowing. Doing so will ensure that no pressure builds up in the hose during retraction, which will increase the longevity of your reel.
Replace Water Valve Batteries:
The water valve is powered by four AA batteries that need to be replaced periodically. If the water does not turn on after multiple button presses, the batteries are likely due for replacement.
Clean the Unit Periodically:
After continued use, mud and other materials may accumulate inside your Water Hose Reel. To keep your reel running smoothly, the inside of the unit should be rinsed periodically to remove these materials.
Ensure Top Hemisphere is Secured:
For safety purposes, your Water Hose Reel will not retract if the top hemisphere lid is not secured on the unit. If the unit does not retract after a button press, please check to make sure that the hemisphere lid is properly engaged and the hemisphere release button is flush with the top hemisphere.
Water Safety Conservation Feature:
As a safety and conservation feature if only the Water Button is pressed, the water will remain on for one (1) hour. After one (1) hour, the water will automatically turn off. To resume the flow of water
simply push the Water Button again. This insures that if a hose if left on and unattended it will not waste water.

DANGER:"Do not attempt to connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the main battery with a metal object such as a
wire. Short-circuiting may occur and doing so will void the warranty.
DANGER: Do not override any safety mechanism with the top cover removed. Doing so voids the warranty and could cause
personal injury or damage to the hose reel.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to modify or service the hose reel or any of its components for which Great Stuff™, Inc (GSI) has not
provided servicing instructions. Doing so voids the warranty.
WARNING: If you use the Hose Reel without the Water Valve installed, do not retract the watering hose
without first turning off the water and relieving the water pressure. Retracting the hose under pressure could damage the hose reel and reduce the life of the product.
WARNING: Do not operate, charge, or leave a battery near a heat source or fire. Heat can melt the enclosure and damage other
safety features, possibly causing the battery to leak, overheat, emit smoke, burst, and/or ignite.
WARNING: Do not submerse the Main Battery or Main Battery Charger in water. This may cause damage to the protective
features or charge them with extremely high current and voltage. Abnormal chemical reactions may occur, possibly causing the battery to leak, overheat, emit smoke, burst, and/or ignite.
WARNING: The Main Battery Charger was designed only to charge the Hose Reel Main Battery. Do not attempt to use it to
charge other electronic devices."
CAUTION: When necessary, or during extended storage, charge the Main Battery using only the GSI-supplied Main
Battery Charger. Charge it only in a well-ventilated area. Never modify the Main Battery, battery enclosure, or Main Battery Charger to allow the battery to charge while it is in the hose reel.
CAUTION: Avoid storing batteries in areas exposed to freezing temperatures or heat sources.
CAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, throw them in a trash receptacle, place them in a recycling bin not intended for
their disposal, or otherwise discard them in a manner which may result in their being hazardous to the environment. Dispose of batteries only at approved disposal sites.

2.3 Hoses
RoboReel® includes three proprietary hoses:
Commercial quality NeverKink® hose – Watering hose housed inside the unit and does not need to be removed.
Connection Hose - Connects the Water Valve to the Hose Reel.
Strain Relief Hose - Connects the Water Valve to the Faucet Adapter, designed to handle pressure for long periods of time.
CAUTION: If the hose is cut or damaged use only a GSI-supplied replacement hose. Do not splice the hose because it may
prevent the Hose Reel from retracting properly. Splicing the hose voids the Hose Reel warranty.
2.4 Remote Control
RoboReel includes one Remote Control. See Section 4 for instructions.
2.5 Batteries
The following batteries are included with the Hose Reel:
Main Battery (12-volt).
Retract Button Battery (replaceable with non-proprietary CR2032).
Remote Control Battery (not replaceable).
Water Valve Battery Pack (replaceable with non-proprietary 4 AA).
DANGER:"Do not attempt to connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the Main Battery with a metal object such as
a wire. Short-circuiting may occur. Connecting the positive and negative terminals of the Main Battery with a metal object voids the warranty.
WARNING: Do not operate, charge, or leave a battery near a heat source or fire. Heat can melt the enclosure and damage other
safety features, possibly causing the battery to leak, overheat, emit smoke, burst, and/or ignite.
WARNING: Do not submerge the Main Battery or Main Battery Charger in water. This may cause damage to the protective
features or charge them with extremely high current and voltage. Abnormal chemical reactions may occur, possibly leading the battery to leak, overheat, emit smoke, explode, and/or ignite.
WARNING: The battery charger was designed only to charge the Hose Reel Main Battery. Do not attempt to use it to charge other
electronic devices."
CAUTION: When necessary, or during extended storage, charge the Main Battery using only the GSI-supplied Main Battery
Charger. Charge it only in a well-ventilated area. Never modify the Main Battery, battery compartment, or Main Battery Charger, or allow the battery to charge while it is in the Hose Reel.
CAUTION: Avoid storing batteries in areas exposed to freezing temperatures or heat sources.
CAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in a fire, in a trash receptacle, by placing them in a non-hazardous recycling bin, or
otherwise discard them in a manner which may result in their being hazardous to the environment. Dispose of batteries only at approved disposal sites.
