Introduction

Grandbeing’s MX0808-31F is an 8-by-8 HDMI in HDMI out matrix. It allows any

of the eight Inputs to be routed to any of the eight Outputs simultaneously, no

matter the source is HDCP or not. When sources’ video formats are same,

outputs can switch between sources seamlessly. If sources’ formats are

different, switch time will be very fast.

Users can choose several different ways to control the matrix: by using infrared

extension receiver, RS232, RS485, and LAN and supplied remote control. IR

emitters in the matrix are for controlling the sources; the IR control signal could

be from remote locations when work with EX0101-H01 and EX0101-H02.

Also provide Optical SPIDF out for every HDMI OUT.

MX0808-31F offers solutions for digital entertainment center, HDTV retail and

concerns, data center control, information distribution, conference room

z Allows up to eight HDMI audio/video devices to be independently switched

to eight HDMI monitors, HDTV’s, or projectors.

z The eight outputs could show the same or different source simultaneously

no matter the source is HDCP or not.

z Reading and saving EDID function from displays.

z Support high definition resolutions, including 1080p, 1080i, 720p and

other standard video formats.

z Each port supports both HDMI and DVI inputs.

 NOTE: RS232 port and LAN port are for matrix control. The LAN port is connected to the computer

via cross UTP and connected to the router or switcher via direct UTP.

■ Connections and Operations

1) Connect the HDMI input source ( such as HD-DVD/ PS3 /STB etc.)Into

MX0808-31F.

2) Connect HDMI OUT of MX0808-31F to display equipment (

such as:

HD-LCD、HD-DLP).

3) Connect SPDIF OUT to SPDIF IN of audio equipment ( such as: AVR ).

4) Power on the input source you want to show. ( Keep the unused input

power off, otherwise it may interfere the normal display).

5) Plug the power cable into MX0808-31F.

6) Turn on power switch, the matrix is ready when Touch Panel show setting

screen.

7) Turn on the displays you want to watch.

8) Use the remote to control the matrix, or using Touch Panel, RS232, RS485

and LAN port to control.

9) To use Remote IR call back, connect HDMI OUT of MX0808-31F to HDMI

IN of EX0101-H01, connect IR for HDMI OUT to IR-TX of EX0101-H01.

10) Connect UTP OUT of EX0101-H01 to UTP IN of EX0101-H02.

11) Connect the Broadband IR receive cable into EX0101-H02 IR-RX port.

12) Connect the IR emitter cables into MX0808-31F IR emitter ports.

TYPE A: Step A.1: Select an output port or ‘A’, and press “OK”,

Step A.2: Select an input source, and press “OK”.

TYPE B: Step B.1: Select a model, and press “OK”.

" NOTE: ‘C’ means Clear, if type the wrong number, press ‘C’. ‘A’ means All, only

valid at step A.1. ‘M’ means the model which records the state of the matrix routing

switch, and there are three models provided.
