Oxygen Flow Control Regulators
Oxygen ow control regulators are pressure-reducing devices which lower oxygen pressure from a cylinder to levels that can be safely used by the end user.
WARNING: DO NOT reuse plastic crush gaskets (fire risk).
Set-Up (Yoke Style)
• Inspect the cylinder following the instructions of your gas supplier. Be sure to purge the cylinder valve seat of debris.
• Inspect the regulator for oil or grease. If either is visible, DO NOT use the regulator.
• Be sure the sealing washer is in place on the inlet of the regulator.
• Before attaching the regulator to the valve, inspect the regulator and the seal to ensure that they’re in good condition, and be sure that the regulator has just one of the CGA-870 seals. Slip the yoke over the cylinder post and t the pins into the holes on the cylinder valve. The pins should t easily into these holes.
• Tighten the T-handle rmly by hand, but don’t use wrenches or other tools that may over-torque the handle. Turn the T-Handle clockwise until the screw is seated in the dimple on the cylinder valve. Be sure the regulator is tightened securely into the cylinder.
• Attach the oxygen supply tubing to the outlet connection of the regulator.
