 NEVER PLACE THIS BOOSTER SEAT IN A

VEHICLE SEATING LOCATION THAT HAS AN AIR BAG. If an air

Eag inflates, it can hit the child and Eooster seat with great force and

 DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS

BOOSTER SEAT UNTIL YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL AND IN YOUR VEHICLE OWNER’S MANUAL. DO NOT let others

install or use the Eooster seat unless they understand how to use it.

 FAILURE TO PROPERLY USE THIS

BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN A SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH. Your

child can Ee injured in a Yehicle eYen if you are not in a crash. Sudden Eraking and sharp turns can injure your child if the Eooster seat is not properly installed or if your child is not properly secured in the Eooster seat.

 According to accident statistics, CHILDREN

ARE SAFER WHEN PROPERLY RESTRAINED IN REAR VEHICLE SEATING POSITIONS, RATHER THAN FRONT SEATING POSITIONS. For a Yehicle

with a front passenger air Eag, refer to your Yehicle owner¶s manual as well as these instructions for Eooster seat installation.

 NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD

UNATTENDED.

 NEVER LEAVE A BOOSTER SEAT

UNSECURED IN YOUR VEHICLE. An

unsecured Eooster seat can Ee thrown around and may injure occupants in a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash. Attach with the CONNEXT

connectors to make sure that it is securely Eelted in the Yehicle or remoYe it.

 REPLACE THE BOOSTER SEAT AFTER

AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. An accident

can cause damage to the Eooster seat that you cannot see.

 DO NOT MODIFY YOUR BOOSTER SEAT

or use any accessories or parts supplied Ey other manufacturers.

 NEVER USE BOOSTER SEAT IF IT HAS

DAMAGED OR MISSING PARTS. DO NOT

use a cut, frayed or damaged Yehicle seat Eelt.

 THE BOOSTER SEAT CAN BECOME VERY

HOT IF LEFT IN THE SUN. Contact with these parts can Eurn your child¶s skin. Always touch the surface of any metal or plastic parts Eefore putting your child in the Eooster seat.

 THIS CHILD RESTRAINT CONFORMS to all

applicaEle Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and is certified for use in motor Yehicles. This restraint is NOT certified for use in aircraft

Eecause there is no shoulder Eelt aYailaEle.

 NEVER GIVE THIS BOOSTER SEAT to

someone else without also giYing them this manual.

 NEVER USE A SECOND-HAND BOOSTER

SEAT or a Eooster seat whose history you do not

know.

 DO NOT USE BOOSTER SEAT without

CONNEXT

Step 1.

Wrap seat pad oYer on top of Ease

Insert plastic clip into slits in seat pad 2. Attach plastic clip to front of seat as shown

Your Graco Eooster seat is now ready to use. See page 18, “Attaching Booster to Vehicle Seat”.

Weight and Height Limits

FAILURE TO USE Eooster seat in a manner appropriate for your child¶s size may increase the risk of serious injury or death.

To use this Graco Eooster seat, your child MUST meet ALL of the following requirements:

 appro[imately 4 to 10 years old

 weigh Eetween 40 and 100 lEs.

(mass Eetween 18 and 45 kg), and

 are Eetween 40 and 57 inches

(101 and 145 cm) in height, and

 the shoulder Eelt MUST

lie across child¶s shoulders in red zone as shown in and the lap portion is positioned low on the childs hips, and

 when sitting on the Eooster

seat, your child¶s ears are Eelow the top of the Yehicle seat cushion / head rest.

Vehicle Seat Location Requirements

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. Some seating positions in

your Yehicle may NOT Ee safe for this Eooster seat. Some Yehicles do not haYe any seating positions that can Ee used safely with the Eooster seat. If you are not sure where to place the Eooster seat in your Yehicle, consult your Yehicle owner¶s manual or call Graco Children's Products Inc., at 1-800-345-4109.

 Children are safer when properly restrained in

rear vehicle seating positions. WheneYer possiEle

secure the Graco Eooster seat in the center position of the seat directly Eehind the front seats. HoweYer, this position is often equipped with a lap Eelt only and cannot Ee used.

 The Yehicle seat MUST face forward.

Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements

MANY SEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE WITH THE BOOSTER SEAT.

Pay careful attention to these systems; some of the seat Eelts that are NOT safe to use look Yery much like seat Eelts that are safe to use. If you are unsure,

SAFE Vehicle Seat Belt System

ONLY A LAP/SHOULDER BELT SYSTEM CAN BE USED WITH THIS BOOSTER SEAT, IF

the seat location meets all other requirements of these instructions and those in your Yehicle owner's manual.

UNSAFE Vehicle Seat Belt Systems

DO NOT USE ANY

OF THE FOLLOWING VEHICLE BELT SYSTEMS.

 NEVER use a

lap-only Eelt.

 NEVER use a

Passive Restraint Lap or Shoulder Belt Mounted on Door

 NEVER use a

Passive Restraint Lap Belt with Motorized Shoulder Belt

NEVER use Yehicle

Eelts that are attached to the door in any way or that moYe along a track to automatically surround the passenger when the door is closed.

Using your Graco Booster Seat

FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILD AND THE BOOSTER SEAT IN YOUR VEHICLE INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF A SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.

WARNING! Use only

the Yehicle¶s lap and shoulder Eelt system when restraining the child

in this Eooster seat .

NEVER use a Yehicle lap-only Eelt across front

of child .

Vehicle Eelts MUST lie flat against child and MUST not Ee twisted.

DO NOT use shoulder Eelt loose or positioned under child¶s arm .

DO NOT position Yehicle Eelt oYer top of the

armrests . It must pass

underneath the armrests.

Make sure vehicle belt is NOT twisted.

Lap portion of lap/shoulder belt MUST be low and snug on hips, just touching thighs.

DO NOT allow child

to slide down in Eooster

seat .

If child will not keep Yehicle restraint properly positioned, DO NOT use this Eooster seat. Use a different child restraint system.

The front of Eooster seat MUST NOT hang oYer

front of Yehicle seat .

The Eack of the Eooster seat MUST fit tight against the Yehicle seat Eack as shown 7.

Attaching Booster to Vehicle Seat

WARNING! Use only

the Yehicle¶s lap and shoulder Eelt system when restraining the child in this Eooster seat.

CONNEXT are ONLY to secure the Eooster seat to the Yehicle seat.

When using the CONNEXT® connectors, DO NOT place Eooster seat off-center of the Yehicle anchors.

1. Lift release leYer on side of Eooster 1 and pull strap to loosen.

2. RemoYe connector from Ear on Eack of Eooster

Repeat on other side

of Eooster.

3. Attach connectors to Yehicle lower anchors

NEVER put two

connectors on one Yehicle anchor 4.

Pull firmly on connectors 5 to Ee sure they are attached.

4. Tighten connectors, Ey pushing on Eooster and pulling straps on sides of Eooster

Repeat on other side

of Eooster.

5. To remoYe Eooster, lift release leYers on sides of Eooster

and pull slightly away from seat.

6. Push connector in

, lift connector

up and pull out (away from anchor point)

Repeat on other connector.
