According to accident statistics, CHILDREN
ARE SAEER WHEN PROPERLY
RESTRAINED IN REAR VEHICLE
SEATING POSITIONS, RATHER THAN
ERONT SEATING POSITIONS. For a vehicle
with a front passenger air bag, refer to your
vehicle owner’s manual as well as these
instructions for booster seat installation.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD
UNATTENDED.
NEVER LEAVE A BOOSTER SEAT
UNSECURED IN YOUR VEHICLE. An
unsecured booster seat can be thrown around and
may injure occupants in a sharp turn, sudden
stop or crash. Remove it or make sure that it is
securely belted in the vehicle.
REPLACE THE BOOSTER SEAT AETER
AN ACCIDENT OE ANY KIND. An accident
can cause damage to the booster seat that you
cannot see.
DO NOT MODIFY YOUR BOOSTER SEAT
or use any accessories or parts supplied by other
manufacturers.
NEVER USE BOOSTER SEAT IE IT HAS
DAMAGED OR MISSING PARTS. DO NOT
use a cut, frayed or damaged vehicle seat belt.
THE BOOSTER SEAT CAN BECOME VERY
HOT IE UEET IN THE SUN. Contact with these
parts can bum your child’s skin. Always touch the
surface of any metal or plastic parts before
putting your child in the booster seat.
THIS CHIUD RESTRAINT CONEORMS to all
applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
and is certified for use in motor vehicles. This
restraint is NOT certified for use in aircraft
because there is no shoulder belt available.
NEVER GIVE THIS BOOSTER SEAT to
someone else without also giving them this
manual.
NEVER USE A SECOND-HAND BOOSTER
SEAT or a booster seat whose history you do not
know.

the armrests attached to the base.

Step 1.
Insert armrest into base

(on certain models)
Step 6.
On certain models, your lower back support pad may
not be attached to the back support. Place lower back
support pad around edges of support as shown. Then
fasten lower elastic strap to the metal hook on the other
side of the seat pad. If your lower back support pad is
already attached go to Step 6a.

Flip head support and lower back support over
as shown iQl.
Step 7.
Squeeze red adjustment button and slide two pieces
together until they snap into place (01.
CHECK to make sure two pieces are securely snapped
together by pulling on them.
Step 8.
Attach elastic strap to metal hook on other side of seat
pad as shown (3^ • If your elastic strap is already
attached you can skip to Step 9.
Step 9.
Flip seat over and insert the fabric from the head
snpport nndemeath the fabric on the lower back snpport
as shown
To make insertion of fabric easier, slide the npper and
lower back pieces apart by sqneezing the red adjnstment
Step 10.
Attach backrest to base. “U”-shaped hooks on bottom
of backrest will interlock with bars on base .
Make snre that no part of the seat covering interferes
when attaching backrest to the base.

Once backrest is securely attached to the base, push
backrest up as shown(0l.

Weight and Height Limits
FAILURE TO USE booster seat in a manner
appropriate for yonr child’s size may increase the
risk of serions injnry or death.
To use this Graco booster seat, your child MUST
meet ALL of the following requirements:
With back support
(approximately 3 to 10 years old) :
• weigh between 30 and 100 lbs.
(mass between 13.6 and 45 kg), and
• are between 38 and 57 inches (96 and 145 cm)

• the child’s ears are below top

Some vehicles do not have any seating positions
that can be nsed safely with the booster seat. If yon
are not snre where to place the booster seat in yonr
vehicle, consnlt yonr vehicle owner’s mannal or call
Graco Children's Prodncts Inc., at

Children are safer when properly restrained in
rear vehicle seating positions. Whenever possible
secure the Graco booster seat in the center position
of the seat directly behind the front seats. However,
this position is often equipped with a lap belt only
and cannot be used. .
The vehicle seat MUST face forward.
Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements

Pay careful attention to these systems; some of

Securing Your Child in Vehicle
1.
Place booster seat firmly against the back of a
forward-facing vehicle seat eqnipped with a lap/
shonlder belt only

Have yonr child sit in booster seat with their back
flat against back of booster seat.
3. Position shoulder belt through the shoulder belt
guide shown in , NOT as shown in (0^. Fasten
buckle and pull up on the shoulder belt to tighten.

Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip
The shoulder belt MUST lay

To attach clip to booster
seat:
1. Insert the loop end of strap around verticla bar
on rear of seat as shown in (Ql. The shoulder belt
positioning clip MUST be attached onto the vertical
bar of the base closest to where the vehicle shoulder
belt lays across the child.
2. Pass the clip and strap through the loop end as shown
in and pull strap up (0^.
NOTE: Free end of strap should face front of seat.
3. Slide the vehicle shoulder belt onto the clip as
shown in(0> and pull strap down to tighten clip
against child’s shoulder.
The lap belt portion MUST pass under
the armrests and be positioned low on the hips.
The belt MUST NOT be twisted.

Additional Information
Airplane Use
This restraint is not certified for aircraft use because
there are no shoulder belts available in an aircraft.
Cupholders
Cupholders are included on both sides of the seat.

Your instruction sheet can stored on the bottom of
the seat as shown.
Care and Maintenance
CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT
MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICUE SEAT.
Use a booster seat mat, towel or thin blanket to
protect upholstery.
METAU AND PUASTIC PARTS: clean with
mild soap and cool water. No bleach or detergents.
To Remove Seat Cover
1. Remove elastie loops and hooks from seat as
shown
On some models, there is a plastie elip(0>in the
front of the seat pad on the base that will need to
be removed before washing.
2. Maehine wash eover in eold water on delieate
eyele and drip-dry. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
3. To put the seat eover baek on, reverse
preeeding instruetions.
Body Support (on certain models)
The body support is included with some models.
Attach body support exactly as shown.
DO NOT use any other body support other than the
one provided by Graco.
Head Support Wings
To adjust the head support wings, press button(s) as
shown. There are 2 positions to choose from.

Montar el respaldo

Paso 6.
En ciertos modelos, es posible que la almohadilla
inferior del respaldo no esté sujeta al respaldo. Coloque
la almohadilla inferior del respaldo alrededor de los
bordes de apoyo, como indica la figura. Luego ajuste la
correa elástica inferior al gancho de metal que está en
el lado opuesto de la almohadilla del asiento.
Si ya sujetó la almohadilla del respaldo, dirijase al
Paso 6a.

De la vuelta al apoyacabezas y respaldo como se

Paso 7.
Apriete el botón rojo de ajuste yjunte las dos piezas
hasta que encajen en su sitio(2 •
VERIFIQUE que las dos piezas estén bien
conectadas,jalando las mismas.
Paso 8.
Sujete la correa de elástica como se indica (0^.
Si ya sujetó la correa elástica, puede dirigirse
directamente el Paso 9.
Paso 9.
De la vuelta al asiento e inserte la tela del apoyacabezas
debajo de la tela del respaldo como se indica
Para facilitar la inserción de la tela, separe las piezas
superior e inferior del respaldo, apretando el botón rojo
de ajuste.
Paso 10.
Conecte el respaldo a la base. Los ganchos en forma de
"U" en el fondo del respaldo se engancharán en las
barras de la base(9 •
Asegúrese qne ningnna pieza de la funda del asiento
interfiera con la conexión del respaldo a la base.
Paso 11.
Una vez que el respaldo está bien conectado a la base,
suba el mismo como se indica(0.

Límites de altura y peso
A ADVERTENCIA
NO USAR el asiento para niños de manera
apropiada para el tamaño de sn niño podrá
anmentar el riesgo de lesiones graves o la mnerte.
Para usar este asiento para niños de Graco, su niño
DEBE cumplir con TODOS los requisitos siguientes:
Con respaldo (de 3 a 10 años, aproximadamente):
• o debe pesar entre 30 y 100 libras (13.6 y 45 kg), y
• medir entre 38 y 57 pulgadas (96 y 145 cm) de
altura, y
• el cinturón de hombro DEBE

Los niños están más seguros
euando se eneuentran
sujetados eorreetamente en los

Para conectar el clip
al asiento para niños:
1. Inserte el extremo con el bucle de la correa
alrededor de la barra vertical en la parte trasera del
asiento como se indica enlQl. La traba de posición del
cinturón del hombro DEBE estar conectada a la barra
vertical de la base lo más lejos posible de donde el
cinturón del vehículo para el hombro cruza al niño.
2. Pase el clip y la correa por el extremo con el bucle
como se indica en(0 yjale la correa hacia arriba(01.
NOTA: El extremo libre de la correa debe quedar
orientado hacia la parte delantera del asiento.
3. Deslice el cinturón de hombro del vehículo en el clip
como se indica enOyjale la correa hacia abajo para
ajustar el clip contra el hombro del niño.
El cinturón de regazo DEBE pasar debajo del
apoyabrazos y queda en la parte inferior de las
caderas del niño.
El cinturoñ NO DEBE estar doblado.

Información adicional
Uso en aviones
Este asiento de seguridad no está eertifieado para su
utilizaeión en aviones, ya que éstos no disponen de
einturones de hombros.
Apoyavasos
Los apoyavasos se incluyen en ambos costados del
asiento.
Almacenaje de la
hoja de instrucciones
Se puede guardar su hoja de instrucciones en el fondo
del asiento como se indica.
Cuidado y mantenimiento
EL uso CONTINUO DEL ASIENTO PARA
NIÑOS PODRÁ CAUSAR DAÑOS AL
ASIENTO DEL VEHÍCULO. Use una
almohadilla para asientos para niños, una toalla o
una manta fina para proteger el tapizado.
PIEZAS METÁLICAS Y DE PLÁSTICO:
Limpiólas con unjabón suave y agua fria.
NO USE CLORO ni detergentes.
Para quitar la funda del asiento
1. Quite los bucles elásticos y los ganchos del
asiento, como se indica O •
En algunos modelos, hay un clip de plástico ©
en la parte delantera de la almohadilla del asiento
que hay que quitar antes del lavado.
2. Lave la funda en agua fria en el ciclo delicado y
déjela secar al aire. NO USE CLORO.
3. Para volver a colocar la funda, siga las
instrucciones anteriores en orden inverso.
