REDUCES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY
OR DEATH TO YOUR CHILD.

• DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS
BOOSTER SEAT UNTIL YOU READ AND
UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS IN
THIS MANUAL AND IN YOUR VEHICLE
OWNER’S MANUAL. DO NOT let others install

or use the booster seat unless they
understand how to use it.

• FAILURE TO PROPERLY USE THIS

BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN A SHARP
TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH. Your child

can be injured in a vehicle even if you are not in a
crash. Sudden braking and sharp turns can injure
your child if the booster seat is not properly
installed or if your child is not properly secured in
the booster seat.

• NEVER PLACE THIS BOOSTER SEAT IN A
VEHICLE SEATING LOCATION THAT HAS
AN AIR BAG. If an air bag

inflates, it can hit the child and
booster seat with great force and
cause serious injury or death to
your child. Refer to your vehicle
owner’ s manual for information
about air bags and booster seat
installation.

• According to accident statistics, CHILDREN

ARE SAFER WHEN PROPERLY
RESTRAINED IN REAR VEHICLE
SEATING POSITIONS, RATHER THAN
FRONT SEATING POSITIONS. For a vehicle

with a front passenger air bag, refer to your
vehicle owner’ s manual as well as these
instructions for booster seat installation.

• NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD

UNATTENDED.

• NEVER LEAVE A BOOSTER SEAT
UNSECURED IN YOUR VEHICLE. An

unsecured booster seat can be thrown around and
may injure occupants in a sharp turn, sudden
stop or crash. Remove it or make sure that it is
securely belted in the vehicle.

• REPLACE THE BOOSTER SEAT AFTER
AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. An accident
can cause damage to the booster seat that you
cannot see.

• DO NOT MODIFY YOUR BOOSTER SEAT
or use any accessories or parts supplied by other
manufacturers.

• NEVER USE BOOSTER SEAT IF IT HAS
DAMAGED OR MISSING PARTS. DO NOT
use a cut, frayed or damaged vehicle seat belt.

• THE BOOSTER SEAT CAN BECOME VERY
HOT IF LEFT IN THE SUN. Contact with these
parts can burn your child’ s skin. Always touch the
surface of any metal or plastic parts before
putting your child in the booster seat.

• THIS CHILD RESTRAINT CONFORMS to all
applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
and is certified for use in motor vehicles. This
restraint is NOT certified for use in aircraft
because there is no shoulder belt available.

• NEVER GIVE THIS BOOSTER SEAT to
someone else without also giving them this
manual.

• NEVER USE A SECOND-HAND BOOSTER
SEAT or a booster seat whose history you do not
know.

• NEVER USE THIS BOOSTER SEAT without
the armrests attached to the base.

Assembling the Booster Seat

Step 1.

Insert armrest into base
as shown until buttons
snap into slots on side of

Step 2.

Select the desired
armrest height for your
child, then insert the
height adjustment
screw and tighten.

Repeat for other
armrest.

To adjust armrests,
remove screw and press
in button on side of base
as shown to raise or
lower . Reinsert

CHECK to make sure
armrests are securely
attached by pulling up
on them.

Assembling the Back Support

(on certain models)

Step 6.

On certain models, your lower back support pad may

not be attached to the back support. Place lower back
support pad around edges of support as shown. Then
fasten lower elastic strap to the metal hook on the other
side of the seat pad. If your lower back support pad is
already attached go to Step 6a.

Flip head support and lower back support over
as shown .

Step 7.

Squeeze red adjustment button and slide two pieces
together until they snap into place .

CHECK to make sure two pieces are securely snapped
together by pulling on them.

SNAP!

Step 8.

Attach elastic strap to metal hook on other side of seat
pad as shown . If your elastic strap is already
attached you can skip to Step 9.

Step 9.

Flip seat over and insert the fabric from the head
support underneath the fabric on the lower back support
as shown .

To make insertion of fabric easier, slide the upper and
lower back pieces apart by squeezing the red adjustment
button.

Step 10.

Attach backrest to base. “U”-shaped hooks on bottom
of backrest will interlock with bars on base .

Make sure that no part of the seat covering interferes
when attaching backrest to the base.

Step 11.

Once backrest is securely attached to the base, push
backrest up as shown .

seat is now ready to use.

Weight and Height Limits

FAILURE TO USE booster seat in a manner
appropriate for your child’ s size may increase the
risk of serious injury or death.

To use this Graco booster seat, your child MUST
meet ALL of the following requirements:

With back support

(approximately 3 to 10 years old) :

• weigh between 30 and 100 lbs.

(mass between 13.6 and 45 kg), and

• are between 38 and 57 inches (96 and 145 cm)

in height, and

• the shoulder belt MUST lay

across child’ s shoulders in red
zone as shown in and the

lap portion is positioned low
on the childs hips, and

• the child’ s ears are below top

of booster seat. If tops of ears
are above top of seat, your
child is too large for the
booster seat

Without back support

(approximately 4 to 10 years old) :

• weigh between 40 and 100 lbs.

(mass between 18 and 45 kg), and

• are between 40 and 57 inches

(101 and 145 cm) in height, and

• the shoulder belt MUST

lay across child’ s shoulders
in red zone as shown in

and the lap portion is positioned
low on the childs hips, and

• when sitting on the booster

seat, your child’ s ears are
below the top of the vehicle
seat cushion / head rest.

Your Graco booster seat can be
used with or without the back
support (on certain models) as
long as the above requirements are met.

Vehicle Seat Location Requirements

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE BOOSTER
SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS
INJURY OR DEATH. Some seating positions in

your vehicle may NOT be safe for this booster seat.
Some vehicles do not have any seating positions
that can be used safely with the booster seat. If you
are not sure where to place the booster seat in your
vehicle, consult your vehicle owner’ s manual or
call Graco Children's Products Inc., at
1-800-345-4109.

• Children are safer when properly restrained in
rear vehicle seating positions. Whenever possible
secure the Graco booster seat in the center position
of the seat directly behind the front seats. However,
this position is often equipped with a lap belt only
and cannot be used.

• The vehicle seat MUST face forward.

Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements

MANY SEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE
TO USE WITH THE BOOSTER SEAT.

Pay careful attention to these systems; some of
the seat belts that are NOT safe to use look very
much like seat belts that are safe to use. If you
are unsure,

Securing Your Child in Vehicle

1. Place booster seat firmly against the back of a
forward-facing vehicle seat equipped with a
lap/shoulder belt only .

Securing Child in Vehicle with

Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip

The shoulder belt MUST lay
across child’ s shoulders in
red zone as shown.

If shoulder belt lays outside
this zone, the shoulder belt
positioning clip MUST be
used.

To attach clip to booster seat:

1. Insert the loop end of strap around verticla bar
on rear of seat as shown in . The shoulder belt
positioning clip MUST be attached onto the vertical
bar of the base closest to where the vehicle shoulder
belt lays across the child.

2. Pass the clip and strap through the loop end as shown

in and pull strap up .

NOTE: Free end of strap should face front of seat.

3. Slide the vehicle shoulder belt onto the clip as

shown in and pull strap down to tighten clip

The lap belt portion MUST pass under

Additional Information

Airplane Use

This restraint is not certified for aircraft use because
there are no shoulder belts available in an aircraft.

Cupholders

Cupholders are included on both sides of the seat.

• CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT

MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT.

Use a booster seat mat, towel or thin blanket to
protect upholstery.

• METAL AND PLASTIC PARTS: clean with

mild soap and cool water. No bleach or detergents.

To Remove Seat Cover

1. Remove elastic loops and hooks from seat as
shown .

On some models, there is a plastic clip in the

front of the seat pad on the base that will need to
be removed before washing.

2. Machine wash cover in cold water on delicate
cycle and drip-dry. DO NOT USE BLEACH.

3. To put the seat cover back on, reverse
preceding instructions.

Insert body pillows exactly as shown.

CORRECTAMENTE EN LOS ASIENTOS
TRASEROS DE LOS VEHÍCULOS, EN VEZ
DE LOS ASIENTOS DELANTEROS. Para

vehí culos con bolsas de aires para los pasajeros
delanteros, refiérase al manual del propietario de
su vehí culo, además de estas instrucciones para la
instalación del asiento para niños.

• NUNCA DEJE SOLO A SU NIÑO.

• NUNCA DEJE UN ASIENTO PARANIÑOS SIN
SUJETAR EN SU VEHÍ CULO. Un asiento para
niños sin sujetar puede moverse y lesionar
a los pasajeros en un giro brusco, una parada
repentina o un accidente. Quí tela o asegúrese
que esté bien sujeta en el vehí culo con el
cinturón de seguridad.

• REEMPLACE EL ASIENTO PARANIÑOS

Inserte el apoyabrazos

inferior del respaldo no esté sujeta al respaldo.
Coloque la almohadilla inferior del respaldo alrededor
de los bordes de apoyo, como indica la figura. Luego
ajuste la correa elástica inferior al gancho de metal que
está en el lado opuesto de la almohadilla del asiento.
Si ya sujetó la almohadilla del respaldo, dirí jase al

De la vuelta al asiento e inserte la tela del apoyacabezas
debajo de la tela del respaldo como se indica .

Para facilitar la inserción de la tela, separe las piezas
superior e inferior del respaldo, apretando el botón rojo
de ajuste.

Conecte el respaldo a la base. Los ganchos en forma de
"U" en el fondo del respaldo se enganchará n en las
barras de la base .

Asegúrese que ninguna pieza de la funda del asiento
interfiera con la conexión del respaldo a la base.

Una vez que el respaldo está bien conectado a la base,
suba el mismo como se indica .

Lí mites de altura y peso

NO USAR el asiento para niños de manera
apropiada para el tamaño de su niño podrá
aumentar el riesgo de lesiones graves o la muerte.

Para usar este asiento para niños de Graco, su niño
DEBE cumplir con TODOS los requisitos siguientes:

Con respaldo (de 3 a 10 años, aproximadamente):

• o debe pesar entre 30 y 100 libras (13.6 y 45 kg), y

• medir entre 38 y 57 pulgadas (96 y 145 cm) de

altura, y

• debe pesar entre 40 y 100 libras (18 y 45 kg), y

• medir entre 40 y 57 pulgadas

(101 y 145 cm) de altura, y

LA COLOCACIÓN INCORRECTADEL
ASIENTO PARANIÑOS AUMENTA EL
RIESGO DE LESIONES GRAVES O LA
MUERTE. Algunos asientos de su vehí culo podrán

resultar inseguros para este asiento para niños.
Algunos vehí culos no cuentan con asientos que se
pueden usar de manera segura con el asiento para
niños. Si no está seguro dónde colocar el asiento en
su vehí culo, consulte el manual del propietario de
su vehí culo o llame a Graco Children's Products
Inc. al 1-800-345-4109.

• Los niños están más seguros

cuando se encuentran
sujetados correctamente en los
asientos traseros del vehí culo. Cuando sea posible,

sujete el asiento para niños de Graco en la posición
central del asiento directamente detrás de los asientos
delanteros. Sin embargo, a menudo, esta posición
viene equipada solamente con un cinturón de regazo
y en dicho caso, no se puede usar.
