• NO BOOSTER SEAT CAN GUARANTEE PROTECTION FROM INJURY. HOWEVER, PROPER USE OF THIS BOOSTER SEAT REDUCES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH TO YOUR CHILD.

• DO NOT INSTALL OR USE THIS BOOSTER SEAT UNTIL YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUALAND IN YOUR VEHICLE OWNER’S MANUAL. DO NOT let others

install or use the booster seat unless they understand how to use it.

• FAILURE TO PROPERLY USE THIS

BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN ASHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH. Your

child can be injured in a vehicle even if you are not in a crash. Sudden braking and sharp turns can injure your child if the booster seat is not properly installed or if your child is not properly secured in the booster seat.

• According to accident statistics, CHILDREN ARE SAFER WHEN PROPERLY RESTRAINED IN REAR VEHICLE SEATING POSITIONS, RATHER THAN FRONT SEATINGPOSITIONS. For a vehicle

with a front passenger air bag, refer to your vehicle owner’s manual as well as these instructions for booster seat installation.

• NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD

UNATTENDED.

• NEVER LEAVE ABOOSTER SEAT UNSECURED IN YOUR VEHICLE.An

unsecured booster seat can be thrown around and may injure occupants in a sharp turn, sudden stop or crash. Remove it or make sure that it is securely belted in the vehicle.

• REPLACE THE BOOSTER SEATAFTER AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND. An accident can cause damage to the booster seat that you cannot see.

• DO NOT MODIFY YOUR BOOSTER SEAT or use any accessories or parts supplied by other manufacturers.

• NEVER USE BOOSTER SEAT IF IT HAS DAMAGED OR MISSING PARTS. DO NOT use a cut, frayed or damaged vehicle seat belt.

• THE BOOSTER SEAT CAN BECOME VERY HOT IF LEFT IN THE SUN. Contact with these

parts can burn your child’s skin. Always touch the surface of any metal or plastic parts before putting your child in the booster seat.

• THIS CHILD RESTRAINT CONFORMS to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and is certified for use in motor vehicles. This restraint is NOT certified for use in aircraft because there is no shoulder belt available.

• NEVER GIVE THIS BOOSTER SEAT to someone else without also giving them this manual.

• NEVER USE A SECOND-HAND BOOSTER SEAT or a booster seat whose history you do not know.

• NEVER USE THIS BOOSTER SEAT without the armrests attached to the base.

Assembling the Booster Seat

Step 1.

Insert armrest into base as shown until buttons snap into slots on side of base .

Step 2.

Select the desired armrest height for your child, then insert the height adjustment screw and tighten. Repeat for other armrest.

Step 3.

To adjust armrests, remove screw and press in button on side of base as shown to raise or lower . Reinsert screw and tighten.

CHECK to make sure armrests are securely attached by pulling up on them.

SNAP!

Step 4.

Slip armrest covers (on certain models) onto armrests as shown.

Step 5.

Your Graco booster seat is now ready to use. See page 29, “Securing Child in Vehicle with Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip”.

FOR MODELS with a back support continue on to Step 6.

Assembling the Back Support

(on certain models)

Step 6.

Flip head support and lower back support over as shown .

Step 7.

Squeeze red adjustment button and slide two pieces together until they snap into place .

CHECK to make sure two pieces are securely snapped together by pulling on them.

SNAP!

Step 9.

Flip seat over and insert the fabric from the head support underneath the fabric on the lower back support as shown .

To make insertion of fabric easier, slide the upper and lower back pieces apart by squeezing the red adjustment button.

Step 8.

Attach elastic strap as shown 3 .

Step 10.

Attach backrest to base. “U”-shaped hooks on bottom of backrest will interlock with bars on base .

Make sure that no part of the seat covering interferes when attaching backrest to the base.

Step 11.

Once backrest is securely attached to the base, push backrest up as shown .

Step 12.

Your Graco booster seat is now ready to use.

See page 21-27, “Using your Graco Booster Seat” and “Securing Your Child in Vehicle”.

FAILURE TO USE booster seat in a manner appropriate for your child’s size may increase the risk of serious injury or death.

Weight and Height Limits

To use this Graco booster seat, your child MUST meet ALL of the following requirements:

With back support

(approximately 3 to 10 years old) :

• weigh between 30 and 100 lbs.

(mass between 13.6 and 45 kg), and

• are between 38 and 57 inches (96 and 145 cm)

in height, and

• the shoulder belt MUST lay

across child’s shoulders in red zone as shown in and the lap portion is positioned low on the childs hips, and

• the child’s ears are below top

of booster seat. If tops of ears are above top of seat, your child is too large for the booster seat

Without back support

(approximately 4 to 10 years old) :

• weigh between 40 and 100 lbs.

(mass between 18 and 45 kg), and

• are between 40 and 57 inches

(101 and 145 cm) in height, and

• the shoulder belt MUST

lay across child’s shoulders in red zone as shown in and the lap portion is positioned low on the childs hips, and

• when sitting on the booster

seat, your child’s ears are below the top of the vehicle seat cushion / head rest.

Your Graco booster seat can be used with or without the back support (on certain models) as long as the above requirements are met.

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. Some seating positions in

your vehicle may NOT be safe for this booster seat. Some vehicles do not have any seating positions that can be used safely with the booster seat. If you are not sure where to place the booster seat in your vehicle, consult your vehicle owner’s manual or call Graco Children's Products Inc., at 1-888-224-6549.

Vehicle Seat Location Requirements

• Children are safer when properly restrained in rear vehicle seating positions. Whenever possible

secure the Graco booster seat in the center position of the seat directly behind the front seats. However, this position is often equipped with a lap belt only and cannot be used.

• The vehicle seat MUST face forward.

MANY SEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE WITH THE BOOSER SEAT.

Pay careful attention to these systems; some of the seat belts that are NOT safe to use look very much like seat belts that are safe to use. If you are unsure,

consult your vehicle owner’s manual or call Graco Children's Products Inc., at 1-888-224-6549.

Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements

ONLY A LAP/SHOULDER BELT SYSTEM CAN BE USED WITH THIS BOOSTER SEAT, IF

the seat location meets all other requirements of these instructions and those in your vehicle owner's manual.

SAFE Vehicle Seat Belt System

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING VEHICLE BELT SYSTEMS.

• NEVER use a

lap-only belt.

UNSAFE Vehicle Seat Belt Systems

• NEVER use a Passive Restraint Lap or Shoulder Belt Mounted on Door

• NEVER use a Passive Restraint Lap Belt with Motorized Shoulder Belt

NEVER use vehicle

belts that are attached to the door in any way or that move along a track to automatically surround the passenger when the door is closed.

Using your Graco Booster Seat

Use only the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in this booster seat .

NEVER use a vehicle lap-only belt across front of child .

FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILD AND THE BOOSTER SEAT IN YOUR VEHICLE INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OFA SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.

Vehicle belts MUST lay flat against child and MUST not be twisted.

DO NOT use shoulder belt loose or positioned under child’s arm .

DO NOT position vehicle belt over top of the armrests . It must pass underneath the armrests.

Lap portion of lap/shoulder belt MUST be low and snug on hips, just touching thighs.

DO NOT allow child to slide down in booster seat .

If child will not keep vehicle restraint properly positioned, DO NOT use this booster seat. Use a different child restraint system.

Vehicle seat headrest must not interfere with booster seat head support. The front of booster seat MUST NOT hang over front of vehicle seat .

The back of the booster seat MUST fit tight against the vehicle seat back as shown .

Booster Seat Positions

Your booster seat has two positions as shown.

DO NOT USE

booster seat beyond reclined position .

The back of the booster seat MUST fit tight against the vehicle seat back as shown in in either the first or second position.

Securing Your Child in Vehicle

1. Place booster seat firmly against the back of a forward-facing vehicle seat equipped with a lap/shoulder belt only .

2. Have your child sit in booster seat with their back flat against back of booster seat.

3. Position shoulder belt through the shoulder belt guide shown in , NOT as shown in . Fasten

buckle and pull up on the shoulder belt to tighten.

4. To ensure the correct head support height is obtained, the bottom of the headrest MUST be even with the top of child’s shoulders as shown in and the shoulder belt must be positioned in the red zone as shown in .

The lap belt portion MUST pass under the armrests and be positioned low on the hips.

5. If the belt lays across child’s neck, head or face , readjust head support height.

Follow instructions on page 28, “Adjusting the Head Support”.

BEFORE adjusting the head support height, have your child lean forward slightly.

Squeeze the red adjustment button on top of seat and pull back support up until it snaps into one of the 6 height positions.

To lower, squeeze red adjustment button and push down.

CHECK to make sure it is securely snapped into one of the 6 height positions by pulling up on head support.

Securing Child in Vehicle with

Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip

The shoulder belt MUST lay across child’s shoulders in red zone as shown.

If shoulder belt lays outside this zone, the shoulder belt positioning clip MUST be used.

To attach clip to booster seat:

1. Insert the loop end of strap around bar on rear of seat as shown in . The shoulder belt positioning clip MUST be attached onto the bar of the base closest to where the vehicle shoulder belt lays across the child.

2. Pass the clip and strap through the loop end as shown

in and pull strap up .

3. Slide the vehicle shoulder belt onto the clip as

shown in and pull strap down to tighten clip against child’s shoulder.

The lap belt portion MUST pass under the armrests and be positioned low on the hips.

Airplane Use

This restraint is NOT certified for use in an aircraft because there are no shoulder belts available in an aircraft.

• CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT.

Use a booster seat mat, towel or thin blanket to protect upholstery.

• METALAND PLASTIC PARTS: clean with mild soap and cool water. No bleach or detergents.

Care and Maintenance

To Remove Seat Cover

1. Remove elastic loops and hooks from seat as

shown .

On some models, there is a plastic clip in the front of the seat pad on the base that will need to be removed before washing.

2. Machine wash cover in cold water on delicate

cycle and drip-dry. DO NOT USE BLEACH.

3. To put the seat cover back on, reverse

preceding instructions.

Inserte el apoyabrazos en la base como se indica hasta que los botones se traben en las ranuras de la base lateral .

Paso 2.

Seleccione la altura deseada del apoyabrazos para su niño, luego inserte el tornillo de ajuste de la altura

y ajústelo. Repita el procedimiento en el otro apoyabrazos.

Paso 3.

Para ajustar el apoyabrazos, saque los tornillos y oprima el botón en el costado de la base como se indica para subirlo o bajarlo . Vuelva a insertar el tornillo y ajústelo.

VERIFIQUE que los apoyabrazos están bien conectados, jalando los mismos.

Deslice las fundas de los apoyabrazos (en ciertos modelos) en los apoyabrazos, como se indica.

Apriete el botón rojo de ajuste y junte las dos piezas hasta que encajen en su sitio .

VERIFIQUE que las dos piezas estén bien conectadas, jalando las mismas.

De la vuelta al asiento e inserte la tela del apoyacabezas debajo de la tela del respaldo como se indica .

Para facilitar la inserción de la tela, separe las piezas superior e inferior del respaldo, apretando el botón rojo de ajuste.

Paso 8.

Sujete la correa de elastica como se indica .

Paso 10.

Conecte el respaldo a la base. Los ganchos en forma de "U" en el fondo del respaldo se engancharán en las barras de la base .

Asegúrese que ninguna pieza de la funda del asiento interfiera con la conexión del respaldo a la base.

Paso 11.

Una vez que el respaldo está bien conectado a la base, suba el mismo como se indica .

Paso 12.

Su asiento para niños de Graco ya está lista para usar.

NO USAR el asiento para niños de manera apropiada para el tamaño de su niño podrá aumentar el riesgo de lesiones graves o la muerte.

Límites de altura y peso

Para usar este asiento para niños de Graco, su niño DEBE cumplir con TODOS los requisitos siguientes:

Con respaldo (de 3 a 10 años, aproximadamente):

• o debe pesar entre 30 y 100 libras (13.6 y 45 kg), y

• medir entre 38 y 57 pulgadas (96 y 145 cm) de

altura, y

• el cinturón de hombro DEBE

cruzar los hombros del niño en la zona roja como se indica en y la parte de regazo debe quedar en la parte inferior de las caderas del niño, y

• las orejas del niño deben

quedar por debajo de la parte superior del asiento para niños. Si la parte superior de las orejas queda por encima de la parte superior de la silla, su niño es demasiado grande para el asiento para niños.

Sin respaldo (de 4 a 10 años, aproximadamente):

• debe pesar entre 40 y 100 libras (18 y 45 kg), y

• medir entre 40 y 57 pulgadas

(101 y 145 cm) de altura, y

• el cinturón de hombro DEBE

cruzar los hombros del niño en la zona roja como se indica en y la parte de regazo debe quedar en la parte inferior de las caderas del niño, y

• al sentarse en el asiento para

niños, las orejas de su niño deben quedar por debajo de la parte superior de la almohadilla / apoyacabezas del asiento del vehículo.

Su asiento para niños de Graco puede usarse con o sin el respaldo (en ciertos modelos) siempre y cuando se cumplan los requisitos anteriores.

• Los niños están más seguros

cuando se encuentran sujetados correctamente en los asientos traseros del vehículo. Cuando sea posible,

sujete el asiento para niños de Graco en la posición central del asiento directamente detrás de los asientos delanteros. Sin embargo, a menudo, esta posición viene equipada solamente con un cinturón de regazo y en dicho caso, no se puede usar.

• NUNCA use un cinturón pasivo - un cinturón de regazo u hombro montado en la puerta

• NUNCA use un cinturón pasivo - un cinturón de regazo con cinturón de hombro motorizado

NUNCA use cinturones

de seguridad del vehículo conectados a la puerta de ninguna forma ni los que se deslizan en un riel para sujetar al pasajero automáticamente al cerrar la puerta.

NO USE NINGUNO DE LOS SIGUIENTES SISTEMAS PARA SUJETAR ELASIENTO DE SEGURIDAD.

Usar su asiento para niños de Graco

Use solamente el sistema de cinturones de regazo y hombro del vehículo al sujetar al niño en este asiento para niños .

NUNCA use un cinturón de regazo solamente para sujetar a su niño .

NO SUJETAR CORRECTAMENTE ASU NIÑO Y EL ASIENTO PARANIÑOS EN SU VEHÍCULO AUMENT AEL RIESGO DE LESIONES GRAVES O LA MUERTE EN CASO DE UN GIRO BRUSCO, UNA PARADA REPENTINA O UN ACCIDENTE.

Los cinturones del vehículo DEBEN quedar planos encima del niño y NO DEBEN quedar torcidos.

NO use el cinturón de los hombros suelto debajo del brazo del niño .

NO coloque el cinturón del vehículo por encima de los apoyabrazos . Debe pasar por debajo de los apoyabrazos.

El apoyacabezas del asiento del vehículo no debe interferir con el apoyacabezas del asiento para niños. La parte delantera del asiento para niños NO DEBE colgar por la parte delantera del asiento del vehículo .

La parte trasera del asiento para niños DEBE quedar bien ajustada contra la parte trasera del asiento del vehículo como se indica .

La parte de regazo del cinturón de regazo / hombro DEBE quedar bien ajustada en la parte inferior de las caderas, tocando los muslos.

NO permita que el niño se deslice hacia abajo en el asiento para niños .

Si el niño no mantiene la posición correcta del cinturón de seguridad del vehículo, NO use este asiento para niños. Use otro sistema de seguridad infantil.

Su asiento para niños tiene dos posiciones como se indica.

NO USE el asiento para niños más allá de la posición reclinada .

El respaldo del asiento para niños DEBE caber ajustadamente contra el respaldo del asiento del vehículo como se indica en en la primera o segunda posición.

2. Siente a su niño en el asiento para niños con su espalda plana contra el respaldo del asiento para niños.

hebilla y jale el cinturón de hombro hacia arriba para ajustarlo.

4. Para asegurar que obtiene la altura correcta para apoyar la cabeza, la parte de abajo del apoyacabeza DEBE estar parejo con la parte de arriba de los hombros del niño como se indica en y el cinturón de hombro debe estar colocado en la zona roja como se indica en .

5. Si el cinturón pasa a través del cuello, la cabeza o la cara del niño , vuelva a ajustar la altura del apoyacabezas.

Si el cinturón de hombro queda fuera de esta zona, se DEBE usar el clip de colocación del cinturón de hombro.

Para conectar el clip al asiento para niños:

1. Inserte el extremo de la correa con el bucle por la barra en la parte trasera del asiento, como se indica en

DEBE conectarse a la barra de la base más cercana al punto donde pasa el cinturón del vehículo a través del niño.

2. Pase el clip y la correa por el extremo con el bucle

como se indica en y jale la correa hacia arriba .

3. Deslice el cinturón de hombro del vehículo en el clip

como se indica en y jale la correa hacia abajo para ajustar el clip contra el hombro del niño.

El cinturon de regazo DEBE pasar debajo del apoyabrazos y queda en la parte inferior de las caderas del niño.

Cuidado y mantenimiento

Para quitar la funda del asiento

1. Quite los bucles elásticos y los ganchos del asiento, como se indica .

En algunos modelos, hay un clip de plástico en la parte delantera de la almohadilla del asiento que hay que quitar antes del lavado.

2. Lave la funda en agua fría en el ciclo delicado y déjela secar al aire. NO USE CLORO.
