This product utilizes a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs. This laser Compact Disc Player is equipped with safety switches to avoid exposure when the CD door is open and the safety interlocks are defeated. Invisible laser radiation is present when the CD Player’s lid is open and the system’s interlock has failed or been defeated. It is very important that you avoid direct exposure to the laser beam at all times. Please do not attempt to defeat or bypass the safety switches.

Setup
Connecting a TV Antenna
Requires a TV antenna (not included).
1. Connect a VHF, UHF, or HDTV antenna to the RF INPUT on the television.
2. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
3. Press the MENU button to access the setup menu.
4. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the ENTER button.
5. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight SIGNAL TYPE. Press the ARROW () buttons to select AIR.
6. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Press the ENTER button to begin scanning for available channels.
Connecting a Set-Top Box
Requires a Set-Top Box (not included).
Connecting Basic Cable
Requires a cable connection.
1. Connect a cable to the RF INPUT on the television.
2. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
3. Press the MENU button to access the setup menu.
4. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the ENTER button.
5. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight SIGNAL TYPE. Press the ARROW () buttons to select CABLE.
6. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Press the ENTER button to begin scanning for available channels.
If your Set-Top Box has an HDMI Output:
Connect the HDMI output on the Set-Top Box to one of the HDMI INPUTS on the television using an HDMI cable (not included).
If your Set-Top Box has a Composite Video Output:
Connect the video output on the Set-Top Box to the COMPOSITE VIDEO INPUT on the television using an A/V RCA cable (not included). Connect the audio output on the Set-Top Box to the RCA AUDIO INPUT on the television.
If your Set-Top Box has a Component Video Output:
Connect the component video output on the Set-Top Box to the COMPONENT VIDEO INPUT on the television using a component RCA cable (not included). Connect the audio output on the Set-Top Box to the RCA AUDIO INPUT on the television.
After connecting your Set-Top Box:
Press the SOURCE button to switch to YPbPr, AV, or HDMI 1, 2, or 3 to match the connection used.
Auto Scanning for Channels
The Auto Channel Scan must be run before any channels can be viewed on the television.
1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the MENU button to access the setup menu.
3. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the ENTER button.
4. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight SIGNAL TYPE. Press the ARROW () buttons to select AIR.
5. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Press the ENTER button to begin scanning for available channels.

Channels, Favorites, and Clock
Channel List View
1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the CH LIST button, on the remote, to view a list of available channels.
Unless you are using a Set-Top Box, you must auto scan for channels before being able to view channels in list view.
Adding Favorites
1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the CHANNEL buttons to select the desired TV channel.
3. Press the ADD/ERASE button to add or erase the current channel as a favorite.
Viewing Favorites
1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the FAV LIST button to view a list of your saved favorites.
Setting the Clock
1. Press the MENU button to access the setup menu.
2. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight the SETUP icon. Press the ENTER button.
3. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight CLOCK. Press the ENTER button.
4. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight TIME ZONE. Press the ARROW () buttons to select your current time zone.
5. Press the ARROW () buttons to highlight AUTO CLOCK. Press the ARROW () buttons to turn auto clock o and on.
When the correct time zone is set, auto clock will automatically set your clock and date for you.
6. To set the time and date manually, turn auto clock o, highlight SETUP TIME, and use the ARROW and ENTER buttons to manually set the time and date.

Parental Controls (V-Chip)
1. Press the SOURCE button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Press the ARROW () buttons, highlight PARENTAL, and press the ENTER button.
4. The default passcode for the parental lock is:
0 0 0 0
5. Enter the passcode to access the PARENTAL CONTROL preferences.
6. From this menu, you can lock specic ratings from the United States rating system or the Canadian rating system by accessing the V-CHIP settings. You can also lock the buttons on the television or lock specic sources from access.

Press the MENU button to access the TV menu. Press the EXIT button to exit the TV menu.

Loading a DVD or CD
1. Insert a DVD or CD into the slot-load disc drive, with the label side of the DVD or CD facing the back of the television.
Once a DVD or CD is loaded into the television, the TV will automatically switch to DVD mode.
Playing a DVD or CD
1. Follow the instructions for Loading a DVD or CD.
2. After the DVD or CD is loaded, it will begin playing automatically.
If the DVD or CD does not begin playing automatically, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playing the loaded disc.

Programming a DVD or CD
1. While a DVD or CD is playing, press the PROGRAM button on the remote.
2. Using the NUMBER KEYPAD enter in the title (T) and chapters (C), or tracks in the order you want them to play.
3. Highlight the on-screen PLAY button using the ARROW buttons and press the ENTER button.
4. The programmed titles and chapters, or tracks will now play in the designated order.
5. To cancel a program, press the PROGRAM button, highlight the on-screen CLEAR button using the ARROW buttons, and press the ENTER button.
DVD Setup Menu
In DVD mode, press the DVD SETUP button to access the DVD setup menu. Press the DVD SETUP button to exit the DVD setup menu.

You will need: a set-top box, composite and RCA stereo cables or component and RCA stereo cables or an HDMI cable. (not included)
1. Connect the set-top box’s audio and video outputs to the corresponding audio and video inputs on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the SOURCE button to switch to the connected input. (AV (composite), YPbPr (component), or HDMI 1, 2, or 3)
Connecting a Gaming Device
You will need: a gaming device, composite and RCA stereo cables or component and RCA stereo cables or an HDMI cable. (not included)
1. Connect the gaming device’s audio and video outputs to the corresponding audio and video inputs on the television.

Connecting a Computer
You will need: a PC with a VGA output, and a VGA cable. (not included)
1. Connect the computer’s VGA output to
the VGA/PC INPUT on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the
SOURCE button to switch to the PC Mode.
3. Audio from the connected PC can be input to the television through the TV’s PC AUDIO INPUT by using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
Using the Optical Audio Output
You will need: a (home theater) with an Optical Audio Input and a Digital Optical Audio Cable (not included)
1. Connect the Digital Optical Audio Cable to the (home theater system) and the television.
2. Adjust the settings on your (home theater) to play audio from the connected Optical Audio Input.

Please note: home theater systems may label the Optical Audio Input source dierently, such as “PCM”, or “Digital Audio Input”. Please consult your home theater system’s user manual in order to select the correct input source.

Connecting a USB Thumb Drive
1. Load a USB thumb drive into the USB PORT as shown in the image to the right.
Using a USB Thumb Drive
1. Follow the instructions for Connecting a USB thumb drive.
2. Press the SOURCE button or the USB button on the remote to switch to Media mode.
3. Use the ARROW and ENTER buttons to select and play content from the connected USB thumb drive.
4. Press the EXIT button to return to the media menu.
The USB port can also be used to upgrade the televisions rmware. For detailed instructions and the latest software, go to www.gpx.com

The USB Service Port is used for rmware upgrades to the television.
