WHY COLD BREW
Cold brewing makes better iced coee than refrigerating hot-brewed coee. When you add hot-brewed coee to ice, it slowly dilutes, resulting in a weaker-tasting beverage. Cold brew, which generally starts from a concentrate, is meant to be watered down, so adding ice, milk/cream, and not too much water provides a stronger, more avorful drink. Additionally, hot-brewed coee over ice can taste bitter (some of those avors are less noticeable when coee is hot). Brewing with slow, cold exposure, instead of heat, extracts fewer bitter avors, so you’ll get a sweeter, milder-tasting coee that’s better for drinking cold.
Every cold-brew coee method works the same way: Start with a lot of ground coee (more than you’d typically use to brew drip coee), add water, let the mixture sit between eight and 24 hours, and then lter it. What’s left is either ready to drink or, more often, a concentrate that you should dilute with water or milk.
But now with your purchase of the Gourmia Cool Brewer you can have the same amazing results in just a fraction of the time it normally would take!
