INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Upon receipt, thoroughly inspect for any freight damage which should be brought to the attention of the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog description listed on the packing slip with the label on the carton to ensure you have received the correct merchandise.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE MOUNTED CYLINDER:
1. Remove trim assembly by pulling down on reflector and loosen the screws holding the cylinder body shown in Figure 1. Slide the cylinder body off of the frame.
2. Remove twist-lock hinge cover plate from top of cylinder housing by releasing the twist-lock lever inside the cylinder as shown in Figure 2.
3. Attach the twist-lock hinge cover plate directly to 4” square or octagonal junction box as shown in Figure 3 using (2) Phillips head screws provided.
4. Install the cylinder housing onto the twist-lock hinge cover plate by guiding the “T” through the hole in the top of the cylinder as shown in Figure 4.
5. Align “T” perpendicular to hole and engage into the two small slots. Allow cylinder housing to hang from twist- lock hinge cover plate.
6. Make supply connections. Supply wire must meet local or national codes and be rated for a minimum of 750C. Push completed supply connections through hole in twist-lock hinge cover plate and into junction box..
7. Swing cylinder housing flush to the ceiling against the twist-lock hinge cover plate. Grasp the cylinder frame
with both hands and rotate the entire housing clockwise until the internal locking mechanism snaps into place as shown in. There will be an audible “click” when the locking mechanism is fully engaged.
8. Slide the cylinder body over the frame and align the housing screws with the slots in the aperture. Tighten the screws to secure the housing. Reinstall the reflector as shown in Figure 6.
9. If necessary, clean reflector with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove dirt, fingerprints, etc. It is recommended that reflector be cleaned periodically to retain optimum photometric performance.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
For Your Protection, Read Carefully
Warning: Risk of fire. Do not install
insulation within 3 inches of fixture
sides or wiring compartment, nor above fixture in such a manner as to entrap
heat.
Electric current can cause painful
shock or serious injury unless handled properly. For your safety, always remember the following:
Turn off the supply power.
Ground the fixture to avoid potential
electrical shocks.
Do not handle an energized fixture or energize any fixture with wet hands, when standing on a wet or damp surface, or in water
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any
interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation.

PENDANT MOUNTED CYLINDER:
Before getting started: Not recommended for outdoor use or where cylinder will be subjected to adverse environmental conditions unless pendant is rigidly mounted.
• Feed cylinder housing lead wire through 3/8” pendant stem as shown in Figure 1a.
Attach stem to fitting mounted on top of cylinder housing being careful to align threads correctly.
Make supply connections. Supply wire must meet local or national codes and be rated for a minimum of 750C.
• Mount 3/8” pendant stem (may be supplied as separate catalog item) and cylinder housing to junction box.
If necessary, clean reflector with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove dirt, fingerprints, etc. It is recommended
that reflector be cleaned periodically to retain optimum photometric performance.
WALL MOUNTED CYLINDER:
Before getting started: Housing is equipped to be mounted directly to a 4” square or 4” octagonal junction box which must be installed with respect to the floor line. Tool requirement: 5/64” Allen wrench.
Loosen set screw in bottom of wall cover plate and remove mounting plate.
Place branch circuit leads through hole in mounting plate, aligning correct hole patterns between mounting plate
and junction box and use screws supplied with junction box to securely attach mounting plate as shown in Figure 2b.
Attach cylinder housing by hooking wall cover plate over top section of mounting plate as shown in Figure 3b.
Make supply connections. Supply wire must meet local or national codes and be rated for a minimum of 750C.
Push completed supply connections through hole in mounting plate and into junction box.
Secure cylinder housing to mounting plate by tightening set screw in bottom of wall cover plate.
If necessary, clean reflector with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove dirt, fingerprints, etc. It is recommended
that reflector be cleaned periodically to retain optimum photometric performance.
After mounting fixture to wall, place a bead of silicone-based caulking compound along where the mounting bracket meets the wall on the top and on each side. Do NOT caulk along the bottom.

AIRCRAFT CABLE AND CORD MOUNT CYLINDER
Before getting started: Canopy is equipped to be mounted directly to a rigidly mounted 4” junction box.
Fasten canopy mounting pan to 4” junction box.
On the ground, determine required length of cord and cable and make necessary cuts. (10 FEET OF
CORD AND CABLE PROVIDED). It is recommended that the cut end of cable be soldered or glued to prevent it from fraying.
Attach strain relief bushing to cord and install in canopy, making sure widest flat surface of the bushing will
face floor.
Insert cable into end of cable glider, making sure the end of cable protrudes at least 1” from the cable exit
on side of glider. WARNING: CABLE SUPPORTS WEIGHT OF FIXTURE. CORD CANNOT BE USED TO SUPPORT WEIGHT.
Hang fixture assembly from “S” hook safety chain attached to canopy mounting pan.
Make wire connections.
Secure fixture canopy to canopy mounting pan making sure all screws are tightly secured.
Fasten aircraft cable and cord together with cable stays.
