Hearing is very important to you and to us so please take care when operating this equipment . It is strongly recommended that you follow the listed guidelines in order to prevent possible damage or loss of hearing.
ESTABLISH A SAFE SOUND LEVEL
Over time your hearing will adapt to continuous loud sounds and will give
the impression that the volume has in fact been reduced. What seems normal to you may in fact be harmful.
• To guard against this BEFORE YOUR HEARING ADAPTS set the volume at a low level. Slowly increase the level until you can hear comfortably and clearly and without distortion.
• Damage to your hearing is accumulative and is irreversible. Any ringing or discomfort in the ears indicates that the volume is too loud.
• Remember listening for prolonged period of time at high volume levels will harm your hearing.
Once you have established a comfortable listening level. DO NOT INCREASE THE SOUND LEVEL FURTHER.
The following list of typical sound levels may assist you recognizing just how loud you have set the volume level.

This player can play discs recorded in either PAL or NTSC format.
The supplied remote will control all of
the basic functions including audio/subtitle language and multi-angle selections.
Use This Product Safely
When Car Washing
Do not expose this product to water or excessive moisture. This could cause electrical shorts, fire or other irreparable damage.
When Parked
Parking in direct sunlight can produce very high temperatures inside your vehicle. Allow the interior to cool down before starting play.
Use the Proper Power Supply
This product is designed to operate with a 12 volt DC, negative ground battery system.
Note on Placement of LCD Screens: When placing the LCD screens, please ensure that they are not in the view of the driver and do not obstruct the driver. Failure to observe these instructions can lead to prosecution for driving without due care and attention.
Protect the Disc Mechanism
Do not insert any foreign objects into the slot of this player. Failure to observe this may cause malfunction due to the precise mechanism of this unit.
Use Authorized Service Centers
Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this precision product. Please refer to the Service Center list included with this product for service assistance.
Installation
The unit should be installed in a horizontal position with the front end up at a convenient angle, but not more than 30˚.

Region Management Information
This IN-CAR DVD Player is designed and manufactured to respond to the Region Management Information that is recorded on a DVD disc. If the Region number described on the DVD disc does not correspond to the Region number of this IN-CAR DVD Player, this IN-CAR DVD Player cannot play this disc. The region code for this player is 2.
This product incorporates copyright protection technology that is protected by method claims of certain U.S. patents and other intellectual property rights owned by Macrovision Corporation and other rights owners. Use of this copyright protection technology must be authorized by Macrovision Corporation, and is intended for home and other limited viewing uses only unless otherwise authorized by Macrovision Corporation. Handling and Cleaning
Dirt, dust, scratches and warped discs
will cause misoperation.
Do not place stickers or make
scratches on discs.
Do not allow discs to become warped
or bent.
A disc should always be kept in its
case when not in use to prevent damage.
Do not place discs in the following
places:
1. Direct sunlight.
2. Dirty, dusty and damp areas.
3. Near car heaters.
4. On the seats or dashboard.
Disc Cleaning
Use a dry soft cloth to wipe the surface. If the disc is quite dirty, use a soft cloth slightly moistured with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Never use solvents such as benzine, thinner or conventional record cleaners as they may damage the surface of the disc and leave it unusable.
Note:
A disc may become scratched (although not enough to make it unusable)
depending on how you handle it and conditions in the usage environment. Note these scratches are not an indication of any problem with the player.

Preparing New Discs with Rough Spots
A new disc may have rough edges on its inside and outside edges. If a disc with rough edges is used, the player may not play the disc. Therefore, remove the rough edges in advance by using a ballpoint pen or pencil as shown below. To remove the rough edges, press the side of the pen or pencil against the inside and outside edges of the disc.

INSTALLATION
Notes:
Choose the mounting location where
the unit will not interfere with the normal driving function of the driver.
Before finally installing the unit,
connect the wiring temporarily and make sure it is all connected up properly and the unit and the system work properly.
Use only the parts included with the
unit to ensure proper installation. The use of unauthorised parts may cause malfunctions.
Consult with your nearest dealer if
installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle.
Install the unit where it does not get in
the drivers way and cannot injure the passenger if there is a sudden stop, like an emergency stop.
If installation angle exceeds 30˚ from
horizontal, the unit might not give its optimum performance.

Avoid installing the unit where it would
be subject to high temperature, such as from direct sunlight, or from hot air, from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.

This unit can be installed in any dashboard having an opening as shown below:

Installing the unit
Be sure you test all connections first, and then follow these steps to install the unit.
1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, and then disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal.
2. Disconnect the wire harness and the aerial.
3. Press the release button on the front panel and remove the control panel (see the steps of removing the front panel).
4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull it out to remove it.
5. The two supplied keys release tabs inside the unit's sleeve so you can remove it. Insert the keys as far as they will go (with the notches facing up) into the appropriate slots at the middle left and right sides of the unit. Then slide the sleeve off the back of the unit.

DIN FRONT/REAR-MOUNT
This unit can be properly installed either from Front (conventional DIN Front­mount) or Rear (DIN Rear-mount installation, utilizing threaded screw holes at the sides of the unit chassis). For details, refer to the following illustrated installation methods.

6. Mount the sleeve by inserting the sleeve into the opening of the dashboard and bend the tabs located around the sleeve with a screwdriver. Not all tabs will be able to make contact, so examine which ones will be most effective. Bending the appropriate tabs behind the dashboard to secure the sleeve in place.

7. Connect the wire harness and the aerial and be careful not to pinch any wires or cables.
8. Slide the unit into the sleeve until it locks into place.
9. To further secure the unit, use the supplied metal strap to secure the back of the unit in place. Use the supplied hardware (Hex Nut (M5mm) and Spring Washer) to attach one end of the strap to the mounting bolt on the back of the unit. If necessary, bend the metal strap to fit your vehicle's mounting area. Then use the supplied hardware (Tapping Screw (5x25mm) and Plain Washer) to attach the other end of metal strap to a solid metal part of the vehicle under the dashboard. This strap also helps ensure proper electrical grounding of the unit.
Note to install the short threading terminal of the mounting bolt to the back of the unit and the other long threading terminal to the dashboard.

10. Reconnect the cable to the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal. Then replace the outer trim ring and install the unit's front panel. (see the steps of installing the front panel).
Removing the unit
1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, then disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal.
2. Remove the metal strap attached the back of the unit (if attached).
3. Press the release button to remove the front panel.
4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull it out to remove it.
5. Insert both of the supplied keys into the slots at the middle left and right sides of the unit, then pull the unit out of the dashboard.

INSTALLATION
DIN REAR-MOUNT (Method B)
If your vehicle is a Nissan, Toyota, follow these mounting instructions. Use the screw holes marked T (Toyota), N (Nissan) located on both sides of the unit to fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets supplied with your vehicle.

To fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets.
1. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws of the hooks on the front left and right sides of the unit and remove the hooks.
2. Align the screw holes on the bracket
with the screw holes on the unit, and
then tighten the screws (5x5mm) on each side.
Note: the outer trim ring, sleeve and the metal strap are not used for method B installation.

USING THE DETACHABLE FRONT PANEL

2. Keep the front panel in the case.

Precautions when handing
1. Do not drop the front panel.
2. Do not put pressure on the display or control buttons when removing or installing the front panel.
3. Do not touch the contacts on the front panel or on the main unit body. It may result in poor electrical contact.
4. If any dirt or foreign substances is adhered to the contacts, use a clean and dry cloth to remove any such dirt or foreign substances.
5. Do not expose the front panel to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
6. Do not allow any volatile agents (e.g. Petroleum products, thinner or insecticides) to come into contact with the surface of the front panel.
7. Do not attempt to disassemble the front panel.

INSTALLING THE FRONT PANEL
To install the front panel, insert the panel into the housing and make sure the panel is properly installed. Otherwise, abnormality may occur on the display and some keys may not function properly.

INSTALLATION NOTES (APPLICABLE TO BOTH 2 AND 4 SPEAKER CONNECTION)
This radio contains two separate power amplifiers, to prevent possible damage to these amplifiers please ensure:
1) The vehicle chassis is not used as a loudspeaker earth (–ve return).
2) Front and Rear loudspeaker connecting wires are not joined together.
3) Any wires not used when completing a two speaker installation are fully insulated.
4) The memory wire (Orange) is connected to a permanent +12V supply.
5) The power wire (Red) is connected via the ignition switch of the vehicle.
Note: Before turning the unit ON for the first time after installation please ensure the RESET button is pressed to reset the microprocessor.
If after directly connecting the unit via the vehicles ISO connector plugs it does not appear
IMPORTANT NOTE
to work (fails) to power up disconnect the orange lead bullet connector and reconnect to the twin bullet connector socket on the red wire. Try the unit again it should power up and can be used normally. Note this phenomenon is most frequent in Volkswagen/Audi vehicles.
