2 Beschreibung und Funktion

2.1 Produ kt

Der Kabelverbinder für den Außenbereich ist, abhängig vom Modell, ausgelegt für
eine 8-adrige Verbindung, Verlängerung, Reparatur oder Umverlegung von CAT6
bzw. CAT 6A- Netzwerk-Kabeln.

• Einfachste Konfektionierung ohne Spezialwerkzeuge

• Zugentlastung im Gehäuse integriert

3 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Eine andere Verwendung als in Kapitel „Beschreibung und Funktion“ bzw. in den
„Sicherheitshinweisen“ beschrieben, ist nicht zugelassen. Das Nichtbeachten und
Nichteinhalten dieser Bestimmungen und der Sicherheitshinweise kann zu schwe­ren Unfällen und Schäden an Personen und Sachen führen.

IP68: Dieses Produkt ist staubdicht gegen Berührung und gegen dauerhaftes

Eintauchen in Wasser geschützt.

4 Montage

1. Kontrollieren Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit und Unversehrtheit.

Die Aufschrift „Waterproof“ des wasserdichten Verschlussstopfens muss nach
außen zeigen.

3. Verfahren Sie mit dem 2. anzuschließenden Kabelende ebenso.

4. Isolieren Sie 30 mm vom Kabelmantel ab.

5. Modell 44414 + 44417:

a) Schlagen Sie das Geecht auf den Kabelmantel um.

b) Schneiden Sie die um die Adernpaare gewickelte Aluminiumfolie auf.

5. Modell 44415 + 44416:
a) Wickeln Sie Folie zur Schirmung um das Kabel.
b) Wickeln Sie dann den Erdungsdraht um die Folie. Abb. 2.

6. Entdrillen Sie die Adernpaare.

7. Schieben Sie die Adern entpsprechend der Farbkennzeichnung in die
dazgehörigen Steckplätze am Adernmanager (2).

8. Schneiden Sie die überhängenden Adernenden am Adernmanager bün­ dig ab. Abb. 3.

9. Drücken Sie das Kabel mit dem Adernmanager in das LSA-Modul (1 / 11
je nach Modell).

10. Schließen Sie die Abdeckung des LSA-Moduls.Abb. 4.

11. Modell 44415 + 44417: Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Erdungskabel
richtig mit dem Erdungsclip des Adernmanagers kontaktiert ist. Abb. 4.

12. Fixieren Sie das Kabel zusätzlich mit dem Kabelbinder am Erdungsclip
des LSA-Moduls. Abb. 5.

13. Wiederholen Sie mit dem 2. Anschlusskabel die Schritte 4 - 12.

14. Schieben Sie das Anschlussstück des 1. Kabelendes mit dem ange-

schraubten Verbindungsmodul über das LSA-Modul.

15. Schieben Sie das Anschlussstück des 2. Kabels über das LSA-Modul
und verchrauben Sie es mit dem Verbindungsmodul. Abb. 7.

2. Führen Sie das 1. anzuschließende Kabelende durch die Überwurf­ mutter (4), den wasserdichten Verschlussstopfen (5 / 9 - je nach Modell)
die Anschlusstülle mit Schraubaufsatz (6) und dem angeschraubten
Verbindungsmodul (8). Siehe Abb. 1.

16. Schieben Sie auf beiden Seiten den wasserdichten Verschlussstopfen
bündig in den Schraubaufsatz des Anschlussstückes.
Die Aufschrift „waterproof“ ist noch zu sehen.

17. Schrauben Sie die Überwurfmuttern fest auf die Anschlusstücke.

18. Überprüfen Sie, ob die wasserdichten Verschlussstopfen die Kabel eng
umschließen.

2 DescriptionandFunction

2.1 Product

Depending on the model, the outdoor cable connector is designed for an 8-wire
connection, extension, repair or relocation of CAT 6 or CAT 6A network cables.

10. Close the cover of the LSA module. Fig. 4.

11. Model 44415 + 44417: Make sure that the grounding cable is properly

connected to the grounding clip of the wire manager.

12. Fix the cable additionally with the cable tie to the earthing clip of the

LSA module. Fig. 5.

13. Repeat steps 4 - 12 with the 2nd connection cable.

3 Intended Use

We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter „Descrip­tion and Function“ or „Safety Instructions“. Not attending to these regulations
and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to
persons and property.

IP68: This product is dust-proof against touch and protected against continuous

immersion in water.

14. Push the connection grommet of the 1st cable end with the screwed-on

connection module over the LSA modul.

15. Push the connection grommet of the 2nd cable over the LSA module and

screw it to the connection module. Fig. 7.

4 Mounting

1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.

16. Push the waterproof plugs ush into the screw attachment of the connec-

tion grommet on both sides.

The inscription „waterproof“ can still be seen.

2. Pass the 1st cable end to be connected through the union nut (4), the wa-

terproof sealing plug (5 / 9 - depending on model), the connection grom­ met with screw attachment (6) and the screwed-on connection module (8).
See Fig. 1.

The inscription „Waterproof“ on the watertight stopper shall face outwards.

3. Do the same with the 2nd cable end to be connected.

4. Insulate 30 mm from the cable sheath.

5. Model 44414 + 44417:
a) Turn the braid over to the cable sheath.
b) Cut the aluminium foil wrapped around the wire pairs.

5. Model 44415 + 44416:

a) Wrap foil around the cable for shielding.

b) Then wrap the ground wire around the foil. Fig. 2.

6. Untwist the pairs of veins.

7. Push the wires according to the colour coding into the corresponding slots

on the wire manager (2).

8. Cut the overhanging wire ends ush on the wire manager. Fig. 3.

9. Press the cable with the wire manager into the LSA module (1 / 11 depen-

ding on model).

17. Screw the union nuts tightly onto the connection pieces.

18. Check that the waterproof plugs tightly enclose the cables.

5 Maintenance,Care,StorageandTransport

• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.

• Do not use detergents or chemicals.

• Store cool and dry.

• Store the product out of the reach of children and in a dry and dust-pro­ tected ambience when not in use.

• Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

6 DisposalInstructions

6.1 Product

This product does not belong into the household waste. At the end of its working
life, give it back to the manufacturer, the sales outlet or established for this purpo­se, public collection points for free. Details of disposal are regulated by the respec­tive country‘s law. Recyclables are into the recycle circuit, in order to gain new raw
materials. The following recyclable materials are collected in municipal collection:
Waste glass, plastics, scrap metal, sheets and much more. With this type of scrap
usage you are making an important contribution to protecting our environment.

6.2 Packaging

Packaging can be disposed of free of charge at the suitable collection

points – paper belongs in paper bins, plastics belong in yellow sacks and
