Things you will need.
• ¼” Drill Bit
• 13/64” Drill Bit
• Drill
• ½” ID Vacuum
Hose for supply to
the Vacuum
Manifold
• Vacuum hose for your other vacuum needs
• 2 Hose Clamps for vacuum supply line
• Pipe to hose nipples ( located at almost any hardware store. 1/8 NPT to
your desired I.D. hose size )
• Teflon Tape ( located at almost any auto parts or hardware store )
1. Determine how many vacuum lines you will need to run and then drill
out that amount of holes on your Vacuum Manifold, Max. 6 lines, using
a ¼” drill bit by centering the bit in the tapped hole and drilling carefully
staying away from the threads as much as possible. (these holes have
already been tapped so there is only a small portion of material to
remove)
2. Clean the Vacuum Manifold thoroughly and assemble the fittings back
onto the manifold.
3. Find a place to mount the Vacuum Manifold in your engine
compartment ( preferably the firewall )
4. Using the manifold as a template, mark two spots to drill your holes.
5. Drill these holes using a 13/64” drill bit.( make sure you are not drilling
into an area that will interfere with wiring or any other mechanical lines!
)
6. Using the supplied bolts and nuts, mount the Vacuum Manifold to your
desired location.
7. Find a large vacuum source from your intake manifold (sometimes the
best line to use is the brake booster line, must be at least ½” I.D. hose!!!
), splice the line or route a new line from your intake manifold to your
Vacuum Manifold. Make sure the line is secured using hose clamps.
8. Route a line from your Vacuum Manifold to your brake booster (if you
used this line for your main vacuum) or to whatever object you spliced
the line from.
9. Install the Pipe Thread to hose nipples according to your needs. Use
teflon tape around the pipe thread for a good seal.
10. Test you vacuum lines for leaks or otherwise. Make sure every line is
secure and routed clean away from the exhaust or moving parts.
Now you are ready to go. If you ever need to add more lines in the
future, simply follow instructions #1-3 again. If you need to subtract a
line, you can purchase a 1/8” pipe plug from your local hardware or auto
part store.
Again, we thank you for your purchase and we are always here for your input.
