Technical Manual for Discover V BTE
Description
The Discover V BTE is a fully digital Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing instrument developed to set a new standard for affordable and fundamental hearing care. The instrument offers a two band signal processing with Advopro Digital, which suppresses dirsturbances caused by the user’s own voice and at the same time maintains amplifi cation of the frequencies important for understanding speech. The clear sound, reliable design, easy battery change, long battery lifetime and low battery warning indicator is all standard.
Discover V is available in beige, brown and grey colors. No battery is required during programming - power is supplied via prog. cable CS45. Battery type 13. Estimated average battery life 217 hours.
Key features :
4-band Wide Dynamic Range Compression (WDRC).
4-band shaping handles.
Feedback Management via Notch fi lter.
Long battery lifetime.
User-friendly design.
Audiogram + fi tting rule.

Prepare Amplifi er for mounting into Housing
Solder the 3 mic. wires to the PCB. Gently adjust the wires and make sure the wires are placed correct round the screw hole in housing (see also next page). Add CH-8 on the solder points
Solder the 2 rec wires to the PCB. Gently adjust the wires and add CH-8 on the solder points, in the notch and on rec case to fi x the wires
Fill the area between the nylon insert and the switch-PCB with grease p/n 6879-199. Do not cover the bolts and the areas which will be visible from outside (indicated with blue color)
Solder the green wire from battery spring (-) to the PCB. Solder the switch board “wing” to the battery spring (+) and apply CH-8 on both points
Insert bolts p/n 75921693 (see next picture).Fix the battery springs into the partition and solder the green solid wire (p/n 70927136) to battery spring (-) (yellow arrow). Apply CH-8 p/n 75925421 on the solder point
Place partition complete into lower housing.Add coat p/n 1908-209 on the lower area of the partition as indicated with blue color
