OPERATING TIPS
MODEL – TRI2100.EDN
Cutting is done only with the tips of the line. Do not force the • trimmer to cut, allowing it to cut freely will prolong the string life.
Heavy trimming or mowing is best done on the left side; this avoids • heavy foliage being pulled under the machine.
Cut your trimmer line to 22 inches.•
Use .155 line. Keep plenty of this line on hand as many stores do • not stock this heavy line.
The optional frame tilter will allow you to tilt the unit for • trimming under chain link fences and to the ground in areas where desirable.
Operator should be fully dressed with heavy loose fitting garments • and heavy shoes; gloves are also a plus.
Clean or replace air cleaner often, service engine as per • manufacturer recommendations. If you notice any change in performance, stop operation and have a qualified service tech. Check for adjustments and blocked cooling fins under the top engine hood.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
MODELS TRI2100.EDN
Carefully remove all parts and components, become familiar with them as this will aid in assembly.1.
Install the 1/2 –13 bolt through the wheel assembly. Install the flanged nut on the bolt so the hex side 2. of the nut touches the wheel, finger tighten only.
Screw the bolt/wheel assembly into the threaded hole on the side of the main frame of the machine. 3. Turn the bolt in until the flange of the nut just lightly comes in contact with the machine housing. You will then need to firmly tighten the nut against the frame using an open-end ¾ wrench, while holding the other end of the bolt to keep from turning. When done the wheel should turn freely, and have a small amount of side play. Repeat this procedure for the other side.
Install right and left handle brackets (items 3 and 4) to the rear of the main frame. The mounting 4. flanges must be outward, and the curved slot must be to the top. Use the 5/16 x ½ hex head bolt. Note a slight pressure while turning will be required to begin the threading action. Do not fully tighten one side until after the next step.
Unfold the handle assembly and lock in position by installing the 2 #10 x ¾ hex head sheet metal 5. screws. Install the handle assembly into the brackets with the stop handle on top. You will use the 3/8 hex head bolt in the bottom hole with the 3/8 hex nut and a flat washer. Install the 3/8-carriage bolt in the top curved hole using a flat washer and the hand knob. Adjust the handle to desired operator height.
Insert the hook end of the stop cable into the rearward movable hole of the control arm on the side of 6. the engine. Pull rearward on the black sheath of this cable and route the steel cable through the slot in the immoveable arm, push the adaptor into the hole unit it snaps in place. Check the compliance/ stop handle to be sure that there is a small amount of slack so as to allow the stop mechanism to operate without restrictions. Sometimes some adjustment may be required. Allow about 3/8 inch of free play at the handle.
Activate the stop handle and pull the starter rope far enough to place into the eye bolt, for convenient 7. starting position.
READ OPERATIONS MANUAL AND UNDERSTAND ALL CAUTIONS.8.
