INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this GMC tool. These instructions contain
information necessary for safe and effective operation of this product
and will enable you to get the full benefit of its unique features. Keep
this manual close at hand and ensure all users of this tool read and fully
understand the instructions prior to use.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMPACT SHREDDERS

• Ensure the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage specified on

the nameplate.

• It is recommended that the shredder should be used with a Residual

Current Device (RCD) with a tripping current of no more than 30mA.

• Only use extension cables of a suitable weight for the task. Ideally use

brightly coloured extension leads that are clearly visible.

• Take care when the blades are in operation.

• Do not abuse the cable. Never pull the cable to move or disconnect the

shredder. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Ensure
that the cable is arranged so that it cannot be tripped over, stepped
on or have heavy weights rested on it. Make sure the cable will not be
subjected to any damage.

• Do not attempt to open the casing of the machine, or attempt to modify

it in any way.

• The supply cable should only be replaced by an authorised

service agent.

• Do not use the shredder if the cable is damaged or worn.

• Do not connect a damaged cable to the supply or touch a damaged

cable before it is disconnected from the supply. A damaged cable can
lead to contact with live power.

• Do not touch the blades before the machine is disconnected from the

supply and the blades have come to a complete stop.

• Keep extension cables away from the blades.

• Disconnect the plug from the power prior to clearing a blockage,

cleaning the machine, if abnormal vibration occurs or if leaving the
machine unattended.

• After striking a foreign object, inspect the appliance for damage and

make repairs as necessary.

• Do not allow children to operate this equipment.

UNPACKING

Carefully unpack and inspect your product. Fully familiarise yourself with
all features of the tool. If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool
and refer the problem to your stockist. Do not attempt to repair the fault
yourself as this can be dangerous and will invalidate your guarantee.

CONTENTS OF CARTON

Check that you have all the components, and that they are in good order.
If any parts are missing or damaged, return the product to your retailer.

ASSEMBLY

Rotate foot A and foot B to the appropriate location (Fig.1), then turn the
machine upside down.

Assemble and fix the wheels as shown in (Fig.2). Do not over-tighten
the nut.

Lift the collection box securing nib to insert the collection box on the
runners (Fig.3).

Tighten the reamer knob. The reamer knob incorporates a safety switch
the motor will not activate unless the reamer knob is fully tightened.

NOTE: It is dangerous to use the machine without the hopper (Fig.5).

OPERATION

Electrical safety

• Before use, check the supply and extension cord for signs of damage
or ageing.

• If the cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect the cord from the
supply immediately.

• Do not touch the cord before disconnecting the supply.

• Do not use the product if any power cords are damaged or worn.

Safety instructions

• Wear ear protection and safety glasses at all times while operating

the machine.

• Avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting or that has hanging
cords or ties.

• Only operate the machine in open space (e.g. not close to a wall or
other fixed object) and on a firm, level surface.

• Do not operate the machine on a paved or gravel surface where ejected
material could cause injury.

• Before starting the machine, check that all screws, nuts, bolts, and
other fasteners are properly secured and that guards and screens are
in place. Replace damaged or unreadable labels.

• Before starting the machine, ensure that the hopper is clear.

• Keep your face and body away from the hopper intake.

• Do not allow hands or any other part of the body or clothing to enter the

hopper or discharge chute. Keep away from moving parts.

• Keep proper balance and footing at all times. Do not overreach. Never
stand at a higher level than the base of the machine when feeding
material into it.

• Always stand clear of the discharge zone when operating
this machine.

• When feeding material into the machine, be sure to exclude pieces of
metal, rocks, bottles, cans or other foreign objects.

• If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or if the machine
should start making any unusual noise or vibration, shut off the
power source and allow the machine to stop. Disconnect from supply
and inspect for damage; Check for and tighten any loose parts.
Have any damaged parts replaced or repaired with parts having
equivalent specifications.

• Do not allow processed material to build up in the discharge zone; this
may prevent proper discharge and can result in kickback of material
through the hopper intake.

• If the machine becomes clogged, shut off the power source and
disconnect from supply before clearing debris. Keep the power source
clear of debris and other accumulations to prevent damage or possible
fire. Remember that operating the starting mechanism on engine
powered machines will still cause the blades to move.

• Keep all guards and deflectors in place and in good working condition.

• Disconnect this machine from the power source before moving.

• Shut off the power source and disconnect from supply whenever you

leave the work area.

• Do not tilt the machine whilst it is running.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE SHREDDER

• Press the On/Off switch (11) to ‘1’ to start the motor, and to ‘0’ to

stop the motor.

• Press the ‘circuit breaker’ button if the machine does not start. Ensure
the machine is connected to the power supply.

• When the motor has been running for a few seconds you can
begin shredding.

CIRCUIT BREAKER

The circuit breaker will be activated in the following circumstances:

• A build up of shredded material around the cutting disc.

• If the material being shredded is greater than the motor capacity.

• Where there is too much resistance against the cutting blade.

When the circuit breaker has been activated, switch off the shredder and
disconnect the power supply.

• Unscrew the reamer knob at the base of the turret and open
top section.

• Remove the debris or obstruction from the cutting area.

• Close the top section and re-tighten the reamer knob.

• Leave motor a few minutes to cool down.

• Reconnect to the power supply and press the circuit breaker button.

• When ready to start shredding, press the on/off switch to ‘1’.

Warning: NEVER slacken off the reamer cover knob without switching

off and disconnecting plug from power supply.
Warning: The blades will continue operating for a short time after the

motor is switched off.
Warning: Keep the motor cooling vents clean of debris and other

accumulations to prevent damage to the motor or possible fire.

USING THE PLUNGER

A plunger is provided to aid feeding of less bulky material such as small
twigs, leaves, other garden waste and vegetation into the hopper.

• Load the material into the hopper.

• Insert the plunger in the chute, pushing the material onto the

blade disc.

• Wait until all the material has been shredded before adding more
material.

• Never allow your fingers to enter the chute.

• Never use the tool if the hopper is not fitted.

• Do not over-reach.

MAINTENANCE

• Disconnect from power supply and allow the machine to cool before

making any inspections, adjustments, etc.

• Always allow the machine to cool before storing.

• When servicing the blades be aware that, even though the power

source will not start due to the interlock feature of the reamer, the
blades can still be moved manually.

• Never attempt to override the interlock feature of the reamer

cover knob.

• Check the power cable and any extension cables regularly for

damage or signs of ageing. Do not use the appliance if any cables
are damaged.

• Always clean the machine after use. Remove deposited matter from the

machine using a brush.

• Clean the plastic body and plastic parts using soap and a moist cloth.

Do not use aggressive agents or solvents for cleaning.

• Never clean the shredder with a jet of water or by rinsing. Make sure

that no water is allowed to enter into the shredder.

• Use only the recommended accessories/attachments for

this shredder.

• If the supply cord needs replacing, the task must be carried out by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s agent, or a power tool repair centre
in order to avoid a safety hazard.

REPLACING THE BLADES

• Ensure that the shredder is switched off and disconnected from the

mains supply.

• Remove the hopper assembly by unscrewing the reamer knob (10).

• The blades have two cutting edges. When the blades become worn

they can be reversed to use the second cutting edge.

• Always wear gloves when handling the blades.

• Unscrew the two inner hexagonal headed screws and note the position

of the cutting angle of the blade.

• Remove the blade and rotate it through 180° and fit the blade to the
blade disc ensuring that the ground cutting edge is facing downwards.

• Repeat this for the other blade.

When both cutting edges of the blade have become worn they must be
replaced as a pair.

The blades can be re-sharpened, but this must be done by an experienced
person using an oil stone. However, the weight of each blade is critical
to maintain the balance of the cutting disc. Any imbalance could cause
damage to the machine and possible injury to the operator.

INTRODUCTION

Nous vous remercions d’avoir choisi cet outil GMC. Ces instructions
contiennent les informations nécessaires au fonctionnement sûr
et efficace de ce produit et vous permettront de tirer le maximum
d’avantages de ses caractéristiques uniques. Gardez ce manuel à
portée de main et assurez-vous que tout utilisateur l’ait lu et bien compris
avant de procéder à la mise en marche.

CONSIGNES DE SECURITE RELATIVES AUX
BROYEURS A LAMES

• Vérifiez que la tension d’alimentation corresponde à la tension indiquée
sur la plaque signalétique.

• Il est recommandé d’utiliser le broyeur avec un interrupteur différentiel
de sécurité présentant une sensibilité de 30 mA.

• Utilisez uniquement des rallonges de calibre adapté. Dans l’idéal,
utilisez une rallonge de couleur vive, qui sera bien visible.

• Soyez prudent lorsque les lames fonctionnent.

• Prenez soin du câble. Ne tirez jamais sur le câble du broyeur pour le
déplacer ou le débrancher. Tenez le câble à l’abri de la chaleur, de
l’huile et des bords tranchants. Vérifiez que le câble est positionné de
manière à ne pas représenter de risque de chute et à ce qu’on ne
puisse pas marcher dessus ou y poser d’objets lourds. Vérifiez que le
câble ne risque pas d’être endommagé.

• N’essayez pas d’ouvrir le carter de l’appareil. Ne tentez pas de
modifier l’appareil.

• Le câble d’alimentation doit uniquement être remplacé par un agent
de service agréé.

• N’utilisez pas le broyeur si le câble est endommagé ou usé.

• Ne branchez pas un câble endommagé sur le secteur et ne touchez
pas un câble endommagé avant qu’il ne soit débranché du secteur.
En effet, un câble endommagé peut vous mettre en contact avec le
courant électrique.

• Ne touchez pas les lames avant que l’appareil ait été débranché du
secteur et qu’elles se soient totalement arrêtées.

• Tenez les rallonges à l’écart des lames.

• Débranchez la fiche du secteur avant d’éliminer un bourrage, avant
de nettoyer l’appareil, si l’appareil commence à vibrer de manière
anormale ou si vous vous éloignez de l’appareil.

• Si la machine entre en contact avec un corps étranger, inspectez-la pour
voir si elle est endommagée et effectuez les réparations nécessaires.

• Ne laissez jamais les enfants utiliser cet appareil.

ASSEMBLAGE

Faites pivoter le pied A et le pied B à la position correcte (Fig. 1) puis
placez l’appareil tête en bas.

Assemblez et montez les roues comme illustré à la Fig. 2. Ne serrez
pas trop l’écrou.

Soulevez le taquet de maintien du sac de collecte pour insérer celui-ci
sur les coulisses (Fig. 3).

Serrez la molette de l’alésoir. La molette de l’alésoir est dotée d’un
interrupteur de sécurité. Le moteur ne fonctionnera pas tant que la
molette ne sera pas serrée à fond.

NB: Il est dangereux d’utiliser l’appareil sans la goulotte (Fig. 5).

MANIEMENT

Sécurité électrique

• Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, inspectez le cordon d’alimentation et les
rallonges pour identifier d’éventuels dégâts ou une usure.

• Si le cordon est endommagé au cours de l’utilisation de l’appareil, le
débrancher immédiatement du secteur.

• Ne touchez pas le cordon avant de l’avoir débranché du secteur.

• N’utilisez pas le broyeur de jardin si son cordon d’alimentation est
endommagé ou usé.

Consignes de sécurité pour l’utilisation

• Portez une protection auditive et des lunettes de sécurité en
permanence quand vous utilisez l’appareil.

• Évitez de porter des vêtements amples ou comportant des cordons ou
lacets non noués.

• Utilisez l’appareil uniquement dans un lieu dégagé (c’est-à-dire éloigné
d’un mur ou de tout autre objet fixe) et sur une surface ferme et plane.

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil sur une surface pavée ou gravillonnée où les
matières rejetées pourraient provoquer une blessure.

• Avant de mettre l’appareil en route, vérifiez que les vis, écrous,
boulons et autres fixations sont correctement serrés et que les
protections et écrans sont bien en place. Remplacez les étiquettes
endommagées ou illisibles.

• Avant de mettre l’appareil en route, vérifiez que la goulotte est vide.

• Tenez votre visage et votre corps éloignés de l’entrée de la goulotte.

• Ne laissez pas vos mains ou d’autres parties du corps, ou encore vos
vêtements, entrer dans la goulotte ou l’orifice de sortie. Tenez-vous à
l’écart des pièces mouvantes.

• Gardez toujours un bon équilibre et une bonne stabilité. Veillez à ne pas
vous étirer excessivement. Ne vous tenez jamais à un niveau supérieur
à la base de l’appareil lorsque vous y introduisez des végétaux.

• Tenez-vous toujours à l’écart de la zone de sortie des matériaux quand
vous utilisez cet appareil.

• Quand vous introduisez des matériaux dans l’appareil, veillez à exclure
les morceaux de métal, les pierres, bouteilles, canettes ou autres
corps étrangers.

• Si le mécanisme de coupe entre en contact avec des corps
étrangers ou si la machine commence à faire un bruit ou émettre
une vibration inhabituel(le), coupez l’alimentation et laissez
l’appareil s’arrêter. Débranchez l’appareil du secteur et recherchez
tout dégât; vérifiez s’il y a des pièces desserrées et resserrez-les;
remplacez ou réparez les pièces endommagées par des pièces de
caractéristiques équivalentes.

• Ne laissez pas les copeaux s’accumuler dans la zone de sortie, ce qui
pourrait gêner l’expulsion des végétaux broyés et refouler les végétaux
par l’entrée de la goulotte.

• Si l’appareil se bloque, coupez l’alimentation et débranchez-le du
secteur avant de nettoyer les débris. La source d’alimentation électrique
ne doit pas être encombrée par des débris ou autres accumulations
afin d’éviter son endommagement et les risques d’incendie. N’oubliez
pas que l’actionnement du mécanisme de démarrage sur les appareils
à moteur peut suffire à faire tourner les lames.

• Laissez toutes les protections et tous les déflecteurs à leur place et
gardez-les en bon état.

• Débranchez l’appareil de la source d’alimentation avant de
le déplacer.

• Coupez l’alimentation et débranchez l’appareil du secteur chaque fois
que vous quittez la zone de travail.

• N’inclinez pas l’appareil pendant qu’il fonctionne.

MISE EN ROUTE ET ARRET DU BROYEUR

• Appuyez sur l’interrupteur marche/arrêt (11). Choisissez la position ‘1’
pour mettre le moteur en route et la position ‘0’ pour l’arrêter.

• Appuyez sur le bouton ‘disjoncteur’ si l’appareil ne démarre pas.
Vérifiez que le broyeur est bien branché sur le secteur.

• Laissez le moteur tourner pendant quelques secondes puis
commencez à broyer.

DISJONCTEUR

Le disjoncteur se déclenche dans les situations suivantes:

• En cas d’accumulation de végétaux broyés autour du disque
de coupe.

• Si la quantité de végétaux broyés est supérieure à la capacité
du moteur.

• Lorsque la résistance contre la lame de coupe est trop élevée.

Si le disjoncteur a été activé, arrêtez le broyeur et débranchez-le
du secteur.

• Dévissez la molette de l’alésoir à la base du tube et ouvrez la
section supérieure

• Enlevez les débris ou les végétaux qui bloquent la zone de coupe.

• Refermez la section supérieure et serrez à nouveau la molette.

• Laissez le moteur refroidir pendant quelques minutes.

• Rebranchez l’appareil sur le secteur et appuyez sur le bouton
du disjoncteur.

• Quand vous êtes prêt à reprendre le broyage, appuyez sur le bouton
marche/arrêt pour le mettre sur la position ‘1’.

Avertissement: Ne desserrez JAMAIS la molette de l’alésoir sans avoir
auparavant utilisé l’interrupteur marche/arrêt pour arrêter l’appareil et
avoir débranché celui-ci du secteur.

Avertissement: Les lames continueront à fonctionner pendant quelques
secondes après l’arrêt du moteur.

Avertissement: Veillez à ce que les orifices de refroidissement du
moteur ne comportent ni débris ni autres accumulations, car cela
pourrait l’endommager ou provoquer des risques d’incendie.

UTILISATION DU POUSSOIR

Un poussoir est fourni pour faciliter l’introduction des petits végétaux
comme les brindilles, feuilles et autres déchets de jardin dans
la goulotte.

• Placez les végétaux dans la goulotte.

• Enfoncez le poussoir dans la goulotte en poussant les végétaux sur
le disque de coupe.

• Attendez que tous les végétaux aient été broyés avant d’en rajouter.

ENTRETIEN

• Débranchez l’appareil du secteur et laissez l’appareil refroidir avant de
l’inspecter, de réaliser des réglages, etc.

• Laissez toujours l’appareil refroidir avant de le ranger.

• Quand vous réalisez l’entretien des lames, sachez qu’elles peuvent
être déplacées manuellement même si l’alimentation électrique est
coupée par la fonction de sécurité de l’alésoir.

• Ne tentez jamais de court-circuiter le dispositif de sécurité de la molette
du capot de l’alésoir.

• Inspectez régulièrement le câble d’alimentation et les rallonges pour
détecter les dégâts et signes d’usure. N’utilisez pas l’appareil si le
câble est endommagé.

• Nettoyez toujours l’appareil après utilisation. Enlevez les dépôts formés
sur l’appareil à l’aide d’une brosse.

• Nettoyez le corps et les pièces en plastique avec du savon et un chiffon
humide. N’utilisez pas d’agents ou solvants agressifs.

• Ne nettoyez jamais le broyeur au jet ou à grande eau. Ne laissez jamais
d’eau pénétrer dans le broyeur.

• Utilisez uniquement les accessoires et pièces recommandés pour
ce broyeur.

• Si le cordon électrique doit être remplacé, ce travail doit être confié au
fabricant, à l’agent du fabricant ou à un centre d’entretien agréé afin
d’éviter tout risque lié à la sécurité.

Pour remplacer les lames

• Vérifiez que le broyeur est arrêté et débranché du secteur.

• Enlevez la goulotte en dévissant la molette de l’alésoir (10)

• Les lames ont deux bords tranchants. Quand elles s’usent, elles
peuvent être inversées pour utiliser le second tranchant.

• Portez toujours des gants lors de la manipulation des lames.

• Dévissez les deux vis à tête hexagonale internes et notez la position
de l’angle de coupe.

• Enlevez la lame et faites-la pivoter à 180 degrés puis remettez-la sur le
disque, en veillant à ce que le bord tranchant soit orienté vers le bas.

• Répétez cette procédure pour l’autre lame.

Quand les deux bords tranchants de la lame sont usés, il s’impose
de les remplacer.

Vous pouvez faire aiguiser les lames par une personne expérimentée
sur une pierre à huile. Il faut cependant savoir que le poids de chaque
lame est crucial pour maintenir l’équilibre du disque de coupe. Tout
déséquilibre pourrait endommager l’appareil et blesser l’utilisateur.

INLEIDING

Hartelijk dank voor de aanschaf van dit GMC gereedschap. Deze
instructies bevatten informatie die u nodig hebt voor een veilige en
doeltreffende bediening van dit product en om optimaal te profiteren van
de unieke functies. Houd de handleiding dicht bij de hand en zorg ervoor
dat alle gebruikers van dit gereedschap eerst de instructies lezen en
volledig begrijpen.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES VOOR DE
IMPACTHAKSELAAR

• Zorg ervoor dat de netspanning overeenstemt met het voltage dat is
aangegeven op het typeplaatje.

• Het wordt aanbevolen de hakselaar te gebruiken met een
differentieelschakelaar, met een uitschakelstroom van maximaal
30mA.

• Gebruik alleen verlengsnoeren die voldoende zwaar zijn voor de
taak. Gebruik bij voorkeur gekleurde verlengsnoeren, die duidelijk
zichtbaar zijn.

• Let op wanneer de snijbladen in werking zijn.

• Maak geen verkeerd gebruik van het snoer. Verplaats de hakselaar
nooit door aan het snoer te trekken, of trek nooit aan het snoer om de
stekker uit het stopcontact te halen. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van
hitte, olie en scherpe randen. Zorg ervoor dat het snoer zo is geplaatst
dat er niet kan worden over gestruikeld of op gestapt, of dat er geen
zware gewichten op kunnen worden geplaatst. Zorg ervoor dat het
snoer niet beschadigd raakt.

• Probeer de behuizing van de machine niet te openen. Probeer de
machine op geen enkele wijze te modificeren.

• Het netsnoer mag alleen worden vervangen door een
erkende serviceverantwoordelijke.

• Gebruik de hakselaar niet als het snoer beschadigd of versleten is.

• Sluit geen beschadigd snoer aan op het stroomnet of raak een
beschadigd snoer niet aan voor het is losgekoppeld van het stroomnet.
Met een beschadigd snoer kan de gebruiker blootgesteld zijn aan
elektrische stroom.

• Raak de snijbladen niet aan voor de machine is afgesloten van het
stroomnet en de bladen volledig tot stilstand zijn gekomen.

• Houd verlengsnoeren uit de buurt van de snijbladen.

• Haal de stekker altijd uit het stopcontact wanneer de machine alleen
wordt achtergelaten, voor de verwijdering van een verstopping, voor
het apparaat wordt gecontroleerd of gereinigd en voor er aan wordt
gewerkt, en als de machine abnormaal begint te trillen.

• Als het apparaat in aanraking komt met een vreemd voorwerp, moet
het worden geïnspecteerd op schade en moet het indien nodig
worden hersteld.

• Laat dit apparaat niet gebruiken door kinderen.

UITPAKKEN

Pak het product met zorg uit en inspecteer het zorgvuldig. Maak uzelf
volledig vertrouwd met alle kenmerken van het gereedschap. Als er iets
niet in orde is mag het gereedschap niet worden gebruikt en moet u
het probleem melden bij uw winkelier. Probeer niet om de fout zelf te
repareren omdat dit gevaarlijk kan zijn en de garantie ongeldig maakt.

INHOUD VAN DE VERPAKKING

Stel vast dat u alle onderdelen hebt, en dat ze in goed conditie zijn. Als er
onderdelen ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, moet het product terug worden
gebracht naar de winkelier.

MONTAGE

Draai voet A en voet B in de juiste stand (Fig.1) en keer demachine om.

Bevestig de wielen en draai ze vast zoals is aangegeven in fig. 2. Draai
de moer niet te sterk aan.

Trek de vastzetpen van de opvangbak omhoog om de bak op het
onderstel te plaatsen (Fig 3).

Draai de ruimerknop vast. In de ruimerknop is een veiligheidsschakelaar
ingebouwd. De motor wordt niet ingeschakeld als de ruimerknop niet
volledig is vastgedraaid.

OPMERKING: Het gebruik van de machine zonder de trechter is

gevaarlijk (Fig. 5).

GEBRUIK

Elektrische veiligheid

• Controleer voor het gebruik het stroom- en verlengsnoer op tekenen
van schade of slijtage.

• Als het snoer beschadigd raakt tijdens het gebruik, moet het onmiddellijk
worden losgekoppeld van de voeding.

• Raak het snoer niet aan voor het is losgekoppeld van de voeding.

• Gebruik de impacthakselaar niet als er een stroomsnoer is beschadigd
of versleten.

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES

• Draag altijd gehoorbescherming en een veiligheidsbril wanneer u de
machine gebruikt.

• Draag geen loshangende kleren of kleren met hangende touwtjes
of linten.

• Gebruik de machine alleen in een open ruimte (bv. niet dicht
bij een muur of een ander vast voorwerp) en op een stevig,
horizontaal oppervlak.

• Gebruik de machine niet op een verharde bodem of een
grindoppervlak, waar de gebruiker verwondingen kan oplopen door
uitgeworpen materiaal.

• Controleer voor u de machine opstart of alle schroeven, moeren,
bouten en andere bevestigingsmiddelen goed vastzitten en of alle
platen en schermen op hun plaats zitten. Vervang beschadigde of
onleesbare labels.

• Controleer voor de machine wordt gestart of de vultrechter leeg is.

• Houd uw gezicht en lichaam verwijderd van de trechterinlaat.

• Zorg dat er geen handen, andere lichaamsdelen of kleren in
de vultrechter, in de uitlaat of in de buurt van de bewegende
onderdelen komen.

• Zorg altijd voor een goed evenwicht en een goede voetenstand.
Probeer niet te ver te reiken. Ga nooit op een hoger niveau staan dan
de basis van de machine voor het invoeren van materiaal.

• Ga wanneer u deze machine gebruikt altijd op een afstand van de
uitlaatzone staan.

• Zorg ervoor wanneer u materiaal in de machine invoert, dat er geen
stukken metaal, stenen flessen, blikken of andere vreemde voorwerpen
worden mee ingevoerd.

• Als het snijmechanisme in aanraking komt met vreemde voorwerpen
of als de machine bij het starten een abnormaal geluid maakt of
abnormaal trilt, moet de stroom worden afgesloten en moet de
machine worden uitgeschakeld. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact
en inspecteer op schade; Controleer op losse onderdelen en zet deze
vast; Laat beschadigde onderdelen herstellen met of vervangen door
onderdelen met dezelfde specificaties.

• Zorg ervoor dat het verwerkte materiaal zich niet ophoopt in de
uitlaatzone; hierdoor kan een goede afvoer worden belemmerd,
en kan er materiaal terug worden uitgestoten door de inlaat
van de vultrechter.

• Als de machine verstopt raakt, moet de stroom worden afgesloten
en moet de stekker worden uitgetrokken voor de overblijfselen
worden verwijderd. Houd de voeding vrij van vuil en andere
ophopingen, om schade of brand te voorkomen. Denk eraan dat op
machines die worden aangedreven door een motor de snijbladen
toch nog in beweging worden gebracht als het startmechanisme in
werking wordt gesteld.

• Zorg ervoor dat alle schermen en afschermplaatjes op hun plaats
blijven en goed blijven werken.

• Koppel deze machine los van de stroombron alvorens ze
te verplaatsen.

• Schakel de voeding uit en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact telkens als
u de werkruimte verlaat.

• Kantel de machine niet terwijl ze in werking is.

DE HAKSELAAR STARTEN EN STOPPEN

• Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar (11) op ‘1’ om de motor te starten, en op ‘0’
om de motor te stoppen.

• Druk op de ‘stroomonderbreker’-knop aks de machine niet start. Zorg
ervoor dat de machine is aangesloten op het stroomnet.

• Als de motor enkele seconden heeft gedraaid, kunt u
beginnen hakselen.

Stroomonderbreker

De stroomonderbreker wordt geactiveerd onder de volgende
omstandigheden:

• Bij een opeenhoping van gehakseld materiaal rond de snijschijf.

• Als het materiaal dat wordt gehakseld te groot is voor
het motorvermogen.

• Als het snijblad teveel weerstand ondervindt.

Als de stroomonderbreker is geactiveerd, moet de hakselaar worden
uitgeschakeld en afgesloten van het stroomnet.

• Schroef de ruimerknop aan de onderkant van de koepel los, en open
het bovengedeelte.

• Verwijder het vuil of de verstopping uit de snijzone.

• Sluit het bovengedeelte en draai de ruimerknop terug vast.

• Laat de motor enkele minuten afkoelen.

• Sluit de machine terug aan op het stroomnet en druk op
de stroomonderbrekerknop.

• Zet de aan/uit-schakelaar op ‘1’ als u klaar bent om te
beginnen hakselen.

Waarschuwing: Draai de ruimerdekselknop NOOIT losser als u de aan/
uit-schakelaar niet hebt uitgezet en de stekker niet uit het stopcontact
hebt gehaald.

Waarschuwing: De snijbladen blijven nog een tijdje werken nadat de
motor is uitgeschakeld.

Waarschuwing: Houd de ventilatieopeningen vrij van vuil en andere
ophopingen, schade aan de motor of brand te voorkomen.

GEBRUIK VAN DE STAMPER

De machine is uitgerust met een stamper, voor het invoeren van
minder omvangrijk materiaal zoals takjes, bladeren en ander tuinafval
en-vegetatie in de trechter.

• Laad het materiaal in de trechter.

• Steek de stamper in de toevoergoot, en duw het materiaal op
de bladschijf.

• Wacht tot al het materiaal is gehakseld voor u meer
materiaal toevoegt.

• Steek uw vingers nooit in de toevoergoot.

• Gebruik het gereedschap nooit zonder dat de trechter is aangebracht.

• Probeer niet te ver te reiken.

ONDERHOUD

• Sluit de machine af van het stroomnet en laat ze afkoelen voor u
inspecties uitvoert, instellingen regelt enz.

• Laat de machine altijd afkoelen voor u ze bewaart.

• Houd ermee rekening bij het onderhoud van de snijbladen dat zelfs als de
voeding niet wordt ingeschakeld omwille van de vergrendelingsfunctie,
de snijbladen toch met de hand kunnen worden bewogen.

• Probeer de vergrendelingsfunctie van de ruimerdekselknop nooit
uit te schakelen.

• Controleer het stroomsnoer en alle verlengsnoeren regelmatig
op schade of tekenen van slijtage. Gebruik het apparaat niet als er
snoeren zijn beschadigd.

• Reinig de machine na elk gebruik. Verwijder neergezet materiaal uit de
machine met een borstel.

• Reinig het plastic hoofdgedeelte en de plastic onderdelen met zeep
en een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen bijtende middel of oplosmiddelen
voor de reiniging.

• Reinig de hakselaar nooit met een waterstraal of door deze af
te spoelen. Zorg ervoor dat er geen water kan binnendringen
in de hakselaar.

• Gebruik alleen de aanbevolen accessoires en hulpstukken voor
deze hakselaar.

• Als het stroomsnoer moet worden vervangen, moet dit uit
veiligheidsoverwegingen worden gedaan door de fabrikant, de
vertegenwoordiger van de fabrikant of een erkend servicecentrum.

DE SNIJBLADEN VERVANGEN

• Zorg ervoor dat de hakselaar is uitgeschakeld en is afgesloten van
het stroomnet.

• Verwijder de trechterinrichting door de ruimerknop (10) los te draaien.

• De bladen hebben twee snijranden. Wanneer de bladen
versleten raken, kunnen ze worden omgekeerd om de tweede
snijrand te gebruiken.

• Gebruik altijd handschoenen om de bladen vast te nemen.

• Schroef de twee binnenste zeskantschroeven los en kijk naar de positie
van de snijhoek van het blad.

• Verwijder het blad, draai het 180° door en bevestig het op de bladschijf.
Zorg ervoor dat de geslepen snijrand naar beneden is gericht.

• Herhaal deze werkwijze voor het andere blad.

Wanneer beide snijranden van het blad versleten zijn, moeten de bladen
paarsgewijs worden vervangen.

De bladen kunnen opnieuw worden geslepen, maar dit moet worden
gedaan door een ervaren persoon met behulp van een oliesteen. Het
gewicht van elk blad is echter essentieel voor het behoud van het
evenwicht van de snijschijf. Een gebrek aan evenwicht zou schade
kunnen aan de machine en eventueel verwondingen aan de gebruiker
kunnen toebrengen.
