Specification

The sound intensity level for the operator may exceed 85dB(A) and sound protection
measures are necessary.

WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the
time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection,
stop using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly fitted and provides
the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.

WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness,
tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If
necessary, limit the length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not
operate the tool with hands below a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have
a greater effect. Use the figures provided in the specification relating to vibration to calculate
the duration and frequency of operating the tool.

Sound and vibration levels in the specification are determined according to EN60745 or
similar international standards. The figures represent normal use for the tool in normal
working conditions. A poorly maintained, incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce
increased levels of noise and vibration. www.osha.europa.eu provides information on sound
and vibration levels in the workplace that may be useful to domestic users who use tools for
long periods of time.

General Safety

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings

and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with

reduced, physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of

flammable liquids, gases or dust.

c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a powered tool. Distractions can

cause you to lose control.

2) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a

powered tool. Do not use a powered tool while you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating a powered

tool may result in serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective

equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position when not

operating the tool and make use of other safety features which prevent unintentional
starting

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the powered tool on. A wrench

or a key left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better

control of the tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and

gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in

moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection

facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can

reduce dust-related hazards.

WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness,
tingling and reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition.
If necessary limit the length of time exposed to vibration. Use the figures provided in the
specification relating to vibration if provided to calculate the duration and frequency of
operating the tool. The 2002/44/EC directive relating to vibration in the workplace may provide
useful information even for domestic use of tools. In the first instance of feeling uncomfortable
due to vibration STOP using the tool immediately.

WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the
time of exposure if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable even with ear protection stop
using the tool immediately and check the ear protection is correctly fitted and provides the
right level of sound attenuation for the level of sound produced by your tool.

3) Tool use and care
a) Maintain tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of

parts and any other condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have
the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.

b) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting

edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.

c) Use the tool’s accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,

taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of

the tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

4) Service
a) Have your tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical

replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the tool is maintained.

Internal Combustion Engine Safety

Dangerous environment

• DO NOT use petrol tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose them to rain. Provide
adequate surrounding work space and keep area well lit.

• DO NOT use petrol tools where there is a risk of explosion or fire from combustible
material, flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of an explosive nature

Switch off

• Ensure that the engine has stopped before attaching any accessories to the tool

• If the tool stops unexpectedly ensure that the power is switched off and the engine is not
running before attempting to check the tool

Running-in the engine

• New tools should be used at moderate speed

• DO NOT maintain high engine speed until the engine is completely run-in

• The engine will not be capable of developing maximum power until the end of the
running-in period

• When first using the tool, periodically stop and check that all nuts and screws are securely
fastened and tighten them as necessary

• DO NOT use fuels containing methanol or ethanol, as these may cause internal damage
to the fuel tank and fuel lines

Warning

• NEVER leave the tool running unattended

• NEVER leave the machine unattended when parts are still hot

• ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher close by when operating combustion engines

Servicing

• We recommended that your tool is serviced shortly after its first use

• In normal use, have the tool serviced regularly

• DO NOT modify any of the components of this tool. To do so would invalidate your
guarantee, and could result in injury to yourself or others around you

• ALWAYS have your tool serviced at an authorised service centre

Storage

• Clean the tool completely after use

• Be careful not to damage the fuel tank, or fuel lines, when it is placed on the ground

• Ensure that the tool will not be subject to impact damage; any damage could cause the
tool to become unsafe

• Store the tool away from direct sunlight

• Ensure that fuel and oil is stored in a safe place, away from heat, direct sunlight or any
source of ignition

• Whenever the machine is likely to be out of use for an extended period of time, proceed
as follows:

• Empty the fuel tank completely

• Protect all metal engine parts from corrosion by coating them with oil

• Remove the spark plug, put a few drops of oil into the cylinder and then pull the recoil
starter 2 to 3 times in order to distribute the oil evenly

• Replace the spark plug

• Never store the machine where children may gain access to it

Petrol Generator Safety

• The generator is designed to give safe and reliable service if operated according to
this manual. Read and understand this manual before operating the generator. You
can prevent accidents by familiarising yourself with the generator's controls and safe
operating procedures

Operator responsibility

• Know how to stop the generator quickly in an emergency

• Ensure you know how to use all the generator controls, output receptacles and
connections

• Ensure anybody who operates the generator has received proper instruction. DO NOT let
children operate the generator

• Never leave the tool running unattended

• Always wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before leaving it

• Never leave the machine unattended when parts are still hot

• Never leave machine unattended where children may have access to it

Keep your Distance

• This generator emits exhaust fumes, high sound levels and vibrations. DO NOT stand
close to the unit whilst in operation, and keep bystanders, children and animals a safe
distance away

Carbon monoxide dangers

• The generators exhaust fumes contain poisonous carbon monoxide gas, which is both
colourless and odourless. Breathing exhaust fumes can cause loss of consciousness and
may lead to death

• If the generator is running in an enclosed or even partially enclosed space, the air could
contain dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent
build-up of exhaust fumes

Electric shock hazards

• The generator produces enough electric power to cause a serious electric shock or
electrocution if not used correctly

• Do not use the generator in wet conditions, such as in rain or snow, near ponds or
sprinkler systems, or with wet or damp hands. Doing so could result in death

• Always ground the generator when attaching earthed appliances

Keep the generator dry

• This generator is NOT weatherproof and must not be exposed to rain, damp conditions,
spray, direct sunlight, high ambient temperatures, dirt or dust

• DO NOT store this generator outside, unprotected from the weather. Ice, water or
moisture could cause a malfunction or short circuit which could result in death

Fire and Burn Dangers

• Petrol is extremely flammable and potentially explosive under certain circumstances. Do
not smoke. Do not allow sparks or flames where the generator is refuelled or where petrol
is stored. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine switched off

• The exhaust system gets very hot during operation and remains hot for a considerable
length of time even after the generator is switched off. It will get hot enough to ignite
some materials. Ensure the generator is at least 1 metre away from buildings and
other equipment during operation. Do not enclose the generator in any structure. Keep
flammable materials away from the generator. Do not touch the exhaust when it is hot, let
the generator cool down to ambient temperature before storing it indoors

• DO NOT operate this generator in hazardous locations, where there is a risk of explosion
due to petrol fumes, flammable gasses, explosive dust other atmospheres that could
foster an explosion

Performance

• DO NOT modify this generator in any way

• The engine speed and carburettor have been pre-set by the factory, to provide maximum
engine performance under specified parameters. Tampering with engine settings may
cause the engine to overheat, leading to fires or explosion

• Never attempt to increase engine speeds, in order to obtain additional performance. This
would affect the electricity generating set and voltage regulation system, may damage
attached appliances and endanger the user

• Take professional advice from a qualified electrician before attempting to connect the
generator to a building’s electrical system

Intended Use

• Petrol-powered electricity generating set with air-cooled, 2-stroke engine, producing
230V alternating current at 50Hz, to supply electric power tools and small-sized home
appliances

Unpacking your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and
functions

• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing
or damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use

Preparing 2-stroke mix

Note: This generator is powered by a 2-stroke engine that

requires a petrol/oil mixture as fuel.
WARNING: ALWAYS use dedicated 2-stroke oil. DO NOT use

regular engine oil for 2-stroke mix.

1. Open the Fuel Cap (6) and remove the 2-Stroke Oil
Measuring Cup (13) from the Fuel Mesh Filter (12) inside
the fuel tank

2. Use the 2-Stroke Oil Measuring Cup to measure the
required amount of oil (see ‘Specification’ for fuel-to-oil
ratio), and pour into a suitable mixing container (e.g. a petrol jerry can)

WARNING: DO NOT pour oil directly into the Fuel Tank (2). The 2-stroke mix needs to be
prepared and thoroughly mixed in a separate container, prior to being filled into the generator.

3. Pour the required amount of unleaded petrol into the container, close and shake until
thoroughly mixed

Note: 2-stroke mix must not be stored long-term. ONLY mix the amount required for
immediate consumption. Refer to the ‘Storing Fuel’ section for further information.

Filling with fuel

WARNING: NEVER fill with fuel whilst the engine is running. Switch off the engine and wait

until it has cooled before refuelling.
WARNING: ONLY use petrol/oil mixtures (2-stroke mix) with

this generator. NEVER use neat petrol, as this will quickly lead
to overheating and permanent engine damage.

WARNING: In some regions petrol may contain a percentage
of alcohol (ethanol or methanol). Using such fuels with this
generator is not recommended. Fuels containing more than
10% ethanol MUST NOT be used under any circumstances. If
using fuels containing methanol, specific corrosion inhibitors
must be added, and the proportion of methanol MUST be kept
below 5%. Damage to the fuel system or engine caused by fuels containing alcohol are not
covered by warranty.

Note: For further advice on fuel, also refer to ‘Storing Fuel’ in the ‘Maintenance’ section of
this manual.

1. Ensure the Fuel Shut-Off Valve (11) is in the ‘OFF’ position
(vertical)

2. Open the Fuel Cap (6) by turning it anticlockwise until the
bayonet disengages, and remove

3. Fill the Fuel Tank (2) with fresh unleaded fuel (see
‘Specification’), until the fuel level reaches the top of the
Fuel Mesh Filter (12) inside the fuel tank opening. DO NOT
overfill

Note: Whilst refuelling, petrol must be poured through the Fuel Mesh Filter into the tank. DO
NOT fill the fuel tank without the mesh filter in place. Clean the filter regularly as described
in ‘Maintenance’.

4. When finished refuelling, immediately refit the Fuel Cap and close by turning it clockwise
until a ‘clicking’ sound is heard

WARNING: Never use this generator without the Fuel Cap (6) in place and securely closed.

Grounding the generator

WARNING: This generator produces sufficient electrical power to electrocute or seriously

injure a person, if misused.

• Connect the Ground Connector (1), located on the side of the generator, with an external
ground system (i.e. an earthing rod or other suitable electrical earth connection)

• The ground wire must be a copper wire with the same or a larger cross section than the
supply cord of the attached appliance

• The ground wire must have an eyelet terminal with 6mm
internal diameter, to connect to the generator (see Fig.
below for correct electrical connection)

• Always use a residual current device (RCD) with a
maximum tripping current of 30mA and a response
time of less than 40ms. Follow the RCD manufacturer’s
instructions with regards to installation and operation in
combination with a generator

• If extension cords are used to connect earthed devices to
the generator, earthed extension cords of sufficient cross section must be used

Pre-operational checks

• Assess the location:

Note: Ensure the device is set up on even ground in a well-ventilated, safe location, where it
does not interfere with your work, other machines or where it could become a threat to other
people.

WARNING: ONLY set up this generator on solid ground. NEVER place the generator on
top of a work platform, scaffolding or other elevated contraptions. Vibration may cause the
generator to move and fall off, and fasteners of scaffoldings may vibrate loose. Metal parts of
scaffoldings could become live if the device malfunctions.

WARNING: This generator MUST NOT be set up where it can pose a risk to anybody in its
vicinity. It MUST NOT be set up where children or pets can gain access to it, or where the
sound and vibration emitted is unacceptable. NEVER set up the generator in wet, damp or
dusty locations, where it can be rained on, or where exhaust fumes may accumulate.

• Check the fuel level:

1. Open the Fuel Cap (6) and determine if the Fuel Tank (2) holds sufficient fuel

Operation

WARNING: During the first 20 hours of operation, a new generator should only be used to

75% of its electrical capacity. This is crucial to breaking in the engine, and overloading during
this period will shorten the service life of the generator.

Damage done by overloading the device during the break-in period is not covered by
warranty.

Starting the engine

WARNING: NEVER start the generator with appliances

attached to its receptacles. This can lead to dangerous
situations due to electrical devices starting up unattended. It
can also shorten the service life of the generator and cause
damage to the attached appliances.

1. Ensure no appliances are attached to the 230V Plug Socket
(3)

2. Toggle the Engine Switch (8) to the ‘ON’ position

3. Turn the lever of the Fuel Shut-Off Valve (11) to the ‘ON’
position (vertical)

4. Push the Choke Lever (9) all the way to the left, into the
cold-start position

Note: DO NOT use the choke if the engine is already hot, or
when using the generator in high ambient temperatures.

5. Lightly pull on the Recoil Starter Cord (10) until you feel
resistance, then pull the cord sharply to start the engine

WARNING: Bring the Recoil Starter Cord back gently. DO
NOT let go of the cord, as this would cause the handle to
snap back sharply against the engine cover, potentially
causing damage.

WARNING: Never attempt to pull out the Recoil Starter
Cord when the engine is running. This causes damage to the
starter mechanism and engine.

Note: When starting the engine for the first time, when the
fuel system has been drained, or after the generator has
been allowed to run empty, it may be necessary to pull the
Recoil Starter several times. Restarting the engine should
require only one or two pulls of the starter cord. Refer to the
‘Maintenance’ section, if starting difficulties occur.

6. As the engine begins to heat up, slowly return the Choke
Lever to the opposite position (right)

Starting a flooded engine

Note: This paragraph refers to engines that have been flooded

with fuel, NOT engines that have suffered from water damage.
If your generator has been flooded with water, it must be
returned to an authorised GMC service centre for repair.

Some minor maintenance must be carried out, in order to start an engine that has been

flooded with fuel:

1. Disconnect the Spark Plug Cap (14), and use the included spark plug wrench to remove
the Spark Plug (15), by turning it anticlockwise

2. If the spark plug is fouled, encrusted or soaked with fuel, clean and adjust it as described in
‘Maintaining the spark plug’. Replace if required

3. Clean excess fuel from the combustion chamber by cranking the engine several times
while the spark plug is removed. This is done by slowly pulling the Recoil Starter Cord
(10)

4. Reinstall the spark plug, and firmly tighten it with the spark plug wrench

Note: It is recommended to use a suitable torque wrench (not included), set to 20Nm, to set
the spark plug.

5. Repeat the starting procedure as if the engine was already warm, i.e. with no choke

Altitude operation

• This generator can safely and effectively be used up to the maximum altitude stated in
‘Specification’

• Engine performance decreases by approximately 3.5% with every 300m of altitude

• Higher altitude operation would require alterations to the carburettor, as the air/fuel mix
would become too rich for the engine to operate effectively. Contact your GMC dealer for
advice, if you require high altitude use

Connecting appliances

Note: This generator is primarily designed to deliver power for electric power tools and

small-sized home appliances. Delicate electronic devices with high sensitivity to changes
in voltage and frequency (e.g. computers, televisions, stereo equipment etc.) should ONLY
be connected to this generator using adequate surge protection equipment. This includes
caravans with permanently installed electronic equipment, supplied by this generator.

WARNING: Before connecting a device to the generator, ALWAYS ensure that its power
rating is within the limits of the generator. When connecting multiple loads to the generator via
an extension lead, connect and switch on the highest powered device first, then successively
the lower-powered devices. ALWAYS ensure that the combined power of all connected
devices DOES NOT exceed the generator’s power rating. Note that power fluctuations will
occur when connecting and disconnecting loads to the generator.

WARNING: Devices containing electrical motors require more power upon start-up. Devices
with a power rating close to the maximum power output of the generator may not start, if their
start-up current requirements exceed the capabilities of this generator.

Note: When using extension leads, the total length for a cross section of 1.5mm2 should not
exceed 60m; for a cross section of 2.5mm2 it should not exceed 100m.

1. With the engine running connect the plug of the appliance to the plug socket on the
generator

1. Switch off all connected appliances and disconnect all devices from the 230V Plug Socket

2. Toggle the Engine Switch (8) to the ‘OFF’ position

3. Close the Fuel Shut-Off Valve (11) by turning it into the ‘OFF’ position (horizontal)

Note: In an emergency, the engine can be stopped quickly and at any time by switching off
the Engine Switch (8), however, the above procedure should always be followed, to switch
the generator off in a controlled manner.

WARNING: Immediately switch off the engine in case of excessive engine noise or vibration,
development of smoke or smells (other than engine exhaust), defective electrical parts, or if
an appliance malfunctions, operates sluggishly or at reduced performance.

WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protective equipment, including eye protection

and oil/fuel-resistant gloves, when carrying out maintenance on this generator. ALWAYS
ensure proper ventilation.

WARNING: If fuel or oil is removed during maintenance, fill into suitable sealed containers
and dispose of according to laws and regulations.

cooled, before cleaning or carrying out any maintenance. (with the exception of oil removal;

Note: The maintenance schedule should be adjusted according to use and environment.
If the generator is used frequently, and/or if it is used in harsher environments, shorter
maintenance intervals are required.

Cleaning

• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly,
and shorten the machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush,
or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation
holes

• Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth to clean parts contaminated with oil or fuel. Rinse
with fresh water and dry thoroughly

• Keep all electric and electronic components dry at all times

Maintaining the air filter

WARNING: Never run this generator without the air filter

element fitted, as this would lead to rapid wear of internal
components, causing permanent engine damage and shorten
the service life of this generator.

1. Release the two screws of the Air Filter Cover (7) using a
suitable Phillips screwdriver (not included), and remove
the Air Filter Cover

2. Remove the air filter element from its frame

3. Wash the filter element thoroughly in a solution of warm
water with non-foamy household detergent, or clean with a specialised non-flammable
solvent

WARNING: DO NOT use petrol or other flammable solvents to clean the filter element, as this
could lead to fire or explosion.

4. Dry the filter element thoroughly

WARNING: DO NOT wring out the element, as this would damage the sponge material.
WARNING: NEVER install a wet filter element, as water in the air intake will lead to

permanent engine damage.

5. Immerse the dried filter element in clean engine oil, or alternatively, apply specialised air
filter oil to the filter element. Gently squeeze (but DO NOT wring out) to remove excess
oil.

Note: If the filter element is installed soaked in excessive amounts of oil, the engine will
produce large amounts of smoke after being started.

6. Reinstall the filter element in its frame inside the air filter housing, reinstall the Air Filter
Cover and fasten both screws

Maintaining the spark plug

Note: To ensure proper engine operation, the Spark Plug

(15) must be kept free of deposits, with the electrode properly
gapped.

WARNING: Switch off the Engine Switch (8) and wait until the
engine has cooled completely, before attempting to remove
the Spark Plug.

1. Pull the Spark Plug Cap (14) off the top of the Spark Plug

2. Clean any dirt from the Spark Plug Cap or the top of the
Spark Plug

3. Use the included spark plug wrench to loosen the Spark Plug, by turning
it anticlockwise. Once loosened, remove the Spark Plug by hand

4. Visually inspect the Spark Plug. Discard if the ceramic
insulation is cracked, or if you detect any other damage

5. If any deposits are visible around he electrode area, brush off
with a brass wire spark plug brush (not included)

WARNING: Never clean spark plugs by sandblasting.
Note: If damage to the electrodes becomes visible during or after

cleaning, the Spark Plug needs to be replaced (see ‘Specification’
for compatible types).

6. Check electrode gap with a feeler gauge or specialised spark
plug gap tool (both not included), and adjust if necessary

7. Reinstall the Spark Plug by screwing it into the engine by
hand, and tightening it with the spark plug wrench

Note: When fitting a new, previously unused spark plug, it should
be seated by hand and then tightened about 1/2 turn with a
wrench, to compress its washer. A previously fitted spark plug
only requires 1/8 to 1/4 turn, after being seated by hand. The
use of a torque wrench to set spark plugs is recommended. The
correct torque for this device is 20Nm.

WARNING: The spark plug must be securely tightened. An improperly tightened spark plug
can become very hot and damage the generator.

WARNING: Never fit a spark plug with an improper heat range (see ‘Specification’ for
compatible types).

8. Push fit the Spark Plug Cap

Cleaning the Fuel Mesh Filter

1. Open the Fuel Cap (6) and remove the Fuel Mesh Filter (12) by pulling it out of the fuel
tank opening

2 Wash the filter with clean petrol or a compatible washing solution

3. Dry thoroughly and insert the Fuel Mesh Filter back into the Fuel Tank Opening

Draining carburettor

Note: This may be necessary for storage or transport, or if you experience starting difficulties

due to contaminated fuel.

1. Switch off the Fuel Shut-Off Valve (11)

2. Place a suitable container, e.g. a bowl, under the carburettor and open the bottom drain
screw of the carburettor

3. Refit the carburettor drain screw when finished

Draining the fuel tank

Note: This may be necessary for storage or transport, or if you

experience starting difficulties due to contaminated fuel.

1. Switch off the Fuel Shut-Off Valve (11)

2. Remove the rubber fuel hose from where it connects to the
carburettor

Note: Use suitable pliers (not included) to decompress and
push aside the hose clip.

3. Place the end of the fuel hose into a suitable container, e.g.
a bowl or fuel bottle

4. Open the Fuel Shut-Off Valve, and let the petrol drain from the Fuel Tank (2) into the
container

5. Close the Fuel Shut-Off Valve when finished, reconnect the fuel hose to the carburettor and
refit the hose clip

WARNING: Always check for leaks after disconnecting/reconnecting fuel lines.

Storage

WARNING: Ensure the Engine Switch (8) is in the ‘OFF’ position, and the Fuel Shut-Off Valve

(11) shut, before transporting or storing the generator.

Transporting the generator

This generator provides a Carrying Handle (5) on top of the fuel tank
Keep the generator level to prevent fuel spillage
WARNING: Spilled fuel or fuel vapours may ignite and lead to fire and explosions. Clean up

spilled fuel or oil immediately, to prevent it from entering the environment.

Storing the generator

Store carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
If storing long-term, drain the entire fuel system as described in ‘Draining the fuel tank’ and

‘Draining the carburettor’

Preparation for long-term storage

Whenever the machine is out of use for an extended period of time, proceed as follows:

1. Give the unit an overall cleaning and a thorough check

2. Clean the air filter as described in ‘Cleaning or changing the
air filter’

3. Drain the fuel system as described in ‘Draining the fuel tank’
and ‘Draining the carburettor’

4. Remove the Spark Plug Cap (14) and Spark Plug (15), fill
about a spoonful of 2-stroke oil into the cylinder through the
spark plug hole, and pull the recoil starter gently two to three
times to distribute the oil evenly. Replace the Spark Plug and
Spark Plug Cap

5. Slowly pull the Recoil Starter Cord (10) just until resistance
is felt. At this point, the piston is coming up on its compression stroke, and both the intake
and exhaust valves are closed. Storing the engine in this position will help prevent internal
corrosion

6. Protect all metal parts from corrosion by coating them with oil or a machinery preservative

Storing fuel

• Store 2-stroke mix ONLY in containers specifically designed for fuel storage

• Store fuel in a dark place with a constant, low temperature

WARNING: Petrol degrades during storage, altering its quality very quickly. Keep only the
minimum amount of fuel required for your immediate consumption. Old fuel will cause starting
difficulties, may clog fuel lines and damage the carburettors and engines.

WARNING: If storing fuel on domestic premises, refer to local regulations about permitted
quantities and required containers.

• Storing petrol and 2-stroke mix in sealed containers:

• Volatile fuels such as petrol and 2-stroke mix will store for up to one year in a sealed
container

• After that period the fuel may still be fit for purpose, but problems such as hard starting
and spark plug fouling may occur due to lack of light components

• Once the seal is broken, lighter components evaporate and the storage life is best
assumed to be 6 months at ambient temperatures of 20°C, and 3 months or less at
ambient temperatures of 30°C or more

• Storing petrol and 2-stroke mix inside equipment:

• Petrol and 2-stroke mix in a fuel tank is exposed to the air and lighter components will
readily evaporate. As a result, the fuel becomes heavier and will cause hard starting,
spark plug fouling, rough running and misfiring. Not all of the fuel in this heavier air/fuel
mix can be completely burnt, leaving deposits in the combustion chamber

• Petrol and 2-stroke mix which has been in the equipment tank for more than 2 weeks
should be used with caution, and should be freshened with an equal volume of new fuel
to restore volatile components and reduce fouling issues

• Keeping equipment fuel tanks one-third full stops moisture from getting into the fuel tank
and leaves room to add fuel to freshen the mix. However, safety concerns need to be
addressed when storing equipment tanks partially full while not in use

• Petrol that has been kept in the equipment tank for several months should be discarded
and not be used

WARNING: NEVER dispose of old or polluted fuel with household waste, or pour into the
ground, sewers or rainwater drains. Fuel is a major pollutant and must be recycled according
to local laws and regulations. Place fuel in a sealed, hydrocarbon-proof container, and take it
to your local recycling centre.

Note: Engine damage caused by old or polluted fuel is NOT covered by warranty.

Disposal

Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer
functional and are not viable for repair.

• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE), with household waste

• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose
of power tools

• Tools powered by petrol-based internal combustion engines must not be disposed of with
household waste. Such tools should be taken to your local recycling centre and disposed
of according to current environmental protection requirements in your country

• Petrol, oil and petrol-oil-mixtures are hazardous waste and have to be treated as such.
Oil and fuel must not be disposed of with household waste. Improper disposal may be
regarded a criminal offence in your country. Contact your local authority or dealer for
correct disposal procedures for oil and old fuels

Specificaties

Met het oog op onze aanhoudende productontwikkeling kunnen de specificaties van Silverline
producten zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving worden gewijzigd.

De geluidsintensiteit voor de bediener kan 85 dB(A) overschrijden en de gehoorbescherming
is noodzakelijk.

WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van
gehoorbescherming en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel
hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik
van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het geluiddempingsniveau van de
bescherming.

WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en

1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en

donkere ruimtes leiden vaak tot ongelukken.

b) Gebruik het gereedschap niet in explosieve atmosferen, als in de aanwezigheid van

vlam bare vloeistoffen, gassen en stof.

c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap

bedient. Door afleiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.

2) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap

bedient. Gebruik het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder
invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen

van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.

b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril.

Passende bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende
veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk
letsel.

c) Voorkom onopzettelijk starten. Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar in de uit-stand

staat wanneer het gereedschap niet gebruikt wordt en maak gebruik van andere
voorzorgsmaatregelen om onopzettelijk starten te voorkomen

d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap

inschakelt. Een moer- of stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het

elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.

e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over

het elektrische gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.

f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren,

kleding en handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding,

sieraden en los hangende haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.

g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit

deze dan aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen

kan het risico op stof gerelateerde ongelukken verminderen.

WAARSCHUWING: Bloodstelling aan trilling kan leiden tot gevoelloosheid, tintelen en
verminderde grip bekwaamheid. Op de lange termijn kan het leiden tot chronische condities.
Limiteer de lengte van blootstelling aan trilling. Gebruik de gegevens in de specificaties
van het gereedschap om de gebruiksduur en –frequentie te berekenen. De 2002/44-EEG
richtlijn met betrekking tot trilling in de werkruimte bevat mogelijk bruikbare informatie. Bij
een oncomfortabel gebruik ten gevolge van trilling stopt u onmiddellijk met het gebruik van
het gereedschap

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer het geluidsniveau boven de 85 dB(A) reikt is het dragen
van gehoorbescherming een must. Wanneer geluidsniveaus, zelfs tijdens het dragen
van gehoorbescherming, oncomfortabel hoog zijn, stop dan met het gebruiken van het
gereedschap en controleer of het juiste dempingsniveau gegeven wordt

3) Gebruik en verzorging

a) Het onderhouden van gereedschap. Controleer op een verkeerde uitlijning of

binden van bewegende onderdelen, beschadiging aan onderdelen en andere
condities wat het gebruik beïnvloed. In geval van beschadiging, vervangt u
het gereedschap onmiddellijk. Vele ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht

onderhouden gereedschap

b) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met

scherpe messen slaan minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.

c) Gebruik de accessoires in overeenstemming met deze instructies, waarbij rekening

gehouden wordt met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Het gebruik

van het gereedschap voor taken, anders dan waarvoor het bestemd is, kan resulteren in
gevaarlijke situaties

4) Onderhoud

a) Laat uw gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwalificeerde vakman en gebruik

alleen identieke vervangstukken.

Veiligheid interne verbranding

Gevaarlijke omgeving

• Gebruik benzinegereedschap niet in vochtige of natte omstandigheden, en stel
het niet bloot aan regen. Zorg voor voldoende werkruimte en verlichting. Gebruik
benzinegereedschap niet op plaatsen met ontploffings- of brandgevaar omwille van
brandbaar materiaal, vloeistoffen, gassen of stof van explosieve aard.

Uitschakelen

• Zorg ervoor dat de motor is uitgeschakeld voordat u accessoires op het gereedschap
bevestigd. Als het gereedschap onverwacht stopt, wacht dan tot de motor gestopt is met
draaien voordat u het gereedschap inspecteert.

Inlopen van de motor

• Laat de motor wanneer het gereedschap nieuw is op een matig toerental draaien.

• Laat de motor pas op volle toeren draaien als hij volledig is ingelopen.

• De motor zal pas aan het eind van de inloopperiode op maximaal vermogen lopen.

• Wanneer u het gereedschap voor het eerst gebruikt, controleer dan of alle bouten en
moeren goed zijn aangedraaid en draai ze zo nodig alsnog aan.

• Gebruik geen methanol of ethanol bevattende brandstoffen omdat deze de brandstoftank
en de brandstofleidingen intern kan beschadigen.

Waarschuwing

• Laat het gereedschap nooit achter wanneer het ingeschakeld is

• Laat het gereedschap nooit achter wanneer onderdelen heet zijn

Onderhoud

• Wij raden aan om het gereedschap kort na het eerste gebruik een onderhoudsbeurt te
laten geven.

• Zorg bij normaal gebruik regelmatig voor een onderhoudsbeurt.

• Modificeer de onderdelen van dit gereedschap niet. Daarmee vervalt niet alleen de
garantie maar het kan tevens leiden tot letsel aan uzelf of mensen om u heen.

• Onderhoud moet altijd worden uitgevoerd door een bevoegd persoon.

Opbergen

• Maak het gereedschap na gebruik helemaal schoon.

• Zorg ervoor dat u de brandstoftank en de brandstofleidingen niet beschadigd raken als u
het toestel op de grond is geplaatst.

• Laat het gereedschap niet vallen waar schade resulteert in een onveilig gebruik

• Berg het gereedschap buiten bereik van direct zonlicht op.

• Zorg ervoor dat brandstof en olie op een veilige plaats, buiten bereik van hitte, direct
zonlicht, ontstekingsbronnen en kinderen worden opgeborgen.

• Doe het volgende als de machine gedurende langere tijd niet in gebruik is:

• Maak de brandstoftank volledig leeg.

• Bescherm alle metalen motoronderdelen tegen roestvorming door ze in te smeren met olie.

• Verwijder de bougie, druppel een kleine hoeveelheid olie in de cilinder en trek 2 of 3 maal
aan het startkoord om de olie gelijkmatig te distribueren.

• Breng de bougie weer aan.

• Laat de machine nooit onbeheerd achter wanneer er kinderen bij kunnen.

Benzine aggregaat veiligheid

• De generator is ontworpen voor het geven van een veilig en betrouwbaar gebruik,
wanneer deze volgens de handleiding gebruikt wordt. Lees de handleiding volledig door
voordat u de generator gebruikt. Voorkom ongelukken door uzelf bekend te maken met
de bediening en gebruiksprocedures

Gebruikersverantwoordelijkheid

• Weet hoe u de generator snel uitschakelt in een geval van nood

• Zorg ervoor dat u weet hoe de generator aangesloten en bediend wordt

• Zorg ervoor dat elke gebruiker bekend is met de veilige gebruikswijze van de generator.
Kinderen mogen de generator niet bedienen

• Laat de generator niet onbeheerd achter

• Wacht tot de machine volledig gestopt is voordat u deze achterlaat

• Laat de machine niet achter wanneer onderdelen warm zijn

• Laat de generator niet op plekken achter waar kinderen toegang tot hebben

Houd uw afstand

• De generator stoot gassen, hoge geluidsniveaus en trilling uit. Houd uzelf, omstanders,
kinderen en dieren op afstand wanneer de generator is ingeschakeld

Koolmonoxide

• De uitlaatgassen bevatten giftig koolmonoxide, wat zowel kleur-, als geurloos is. Het
inademen van uitlaatgassen veroorzaakt bewusteloosheid en leid mogelijk tot de dood

• Wanneer de machine in een (gedeeltelijk) afgesloten ruimte gebruikt wordt, is de kans op
een gevaarlijke koolmonoxide opbouw groot. Zorg te allen tijde voor een goede ventilatie
om gasopbouw te voorkomen

Elektrische schok gevaren

• De generator produceert genoeg spanning voor het veroorzaken van een serieuze,
mogelijk dodelijke schok bij een onjuist gebruik

• Gebruik de generator niet in natte omstandigheden als in regen en sneeuw, in de buurt
van vijvers of sproeisystemen of met klamme/natte handen

• Aard de generator wanneer deze aangesloten wordt op geaarde apparaten

Houd de generator droog

• De generator is niet waterbestendig en mag niet blootgesteld worden aan regen, vochtige
omstandigheden, sproei, direct zonlicht, hoge omgevingstemperaturen, vuil en stof

• Berg de generator niet buiten, onbeschermd tegen het weer, op. IJs, water en vocht
zorgen mogelijk voor storing en kortsluiting wat mogelijk resulteert in de dood

Brand gevaren

• Brandstof is uiterst ontvlambaar en onder bepaalde omstandigheden mogelijk explosief.
Rook niet in de buurt van de generator. Vul de generator en berg brandstof uit de buurt
van vonken en vlammen op. Vul de generator in een goed geventileerde ruimte, met een
uitgeschakelde motor op

• Tijdens het gebruik, en voor enige tijd na gebruik is het uitlaatsysteem erg heet. Het
systeem wordt heet genoeg voor het ontbranden van bepaalde materialen. Zorg ervoor
dat de generator tijdens gebruik minstens een meter verwijderd is van gebouwen en
materialen. Sluit de eenheid op geen enkele manier in. Houdt ontvlambare materialen uit
de buurt van de generator. Geef de generator de tijd volledig af te koelen voordat u deze
aanraakt en opbergt

• Gebruik de generator niet op gevaarlijke plekken waar de kans op explosie door
brandstoffen, gassen, explosief stof of andere stoffen bestaat

Prestatie

• Pas de generator op geen enkele manier aan

• De motorsnelheid en de carburateur zijn in de fabriek ingesteld voor het verkrijgen van
het maximale motorvermogen. Het sjoemelen met de motorinstellingen resulteert mogelijk
in de oververhitting van de motor, dat leidt tot brand en explosie

• Verhoog de snelheid van de motor niet voor het verkrijgen van extra vermogen. Dit
beïnvloedt het elektriciteitsgeneratie- en spanningsgeneratiesysteem, beschadigd de
aangesloten apparaten mogelijk en brengt de gebruiker in gevaar

• Verwijs naar de hulp van een gekwalificeerd elektricien voordat u de generator op een
elektriciteitssysteem van een gebouw aansluit

Gebruiksdoel

• De benzine aggregaat met luchtgekoelde 2-takt motor, produceert 230 V op 50 Hz, voor
het aandrijven van elektrische gereedschappen en kleine tot middel grote huis apparaten

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap

• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en
functies vertrouwd raakt.

• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen
ontbreken of beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel /
gereedschap gebruikt.

Voor gebruik

Het voorbereiden van het 2-takt mengsel

Let op: De aggregaat wordt aangedreven door een 2-takt motor. De motor vereist een

benzine/olie mengsel
WAARSCHUWING: Maak te allen tijde gebruik van specifieke

2-takt olie. Maak geen gebruikt van normale motorolie

1. Open de brandstoftankdop (6) en neem de maatbeker (13)
uit de gaasfilter (12)

2. Gebruik de maatbeker voor het meten van de vereiste
hoeveelheid olie (Zie: ‘Specificaties’ voor de verhouding),
en giet de olie in een mengbeker

WAARSCHUWING: Giet de olie niet direct in de brandstoftank
(2). Het mengsel dient grondig gemixt te worden voordat het in
de tank gegoten wordt

3. Giet de vereiste hoeveelheid ongelode benzine in de container en mix grondig met de olie

Let op: 2-takt mengsels mogen niet langdurig opgeborgen worden. Meng enkel de vereiste
hoeveelheid voor de gebruiksperiode. Verwijs naar ‘Brandstof opberging’ voor verdere
informatie

Het vullen met brandstof

WAARSCHUWING: Vul brandstof nooit bij wanneer de machine is ingeschakeld. Schakel de

motor uit en wacht tot deze volledig is afgekoeld
WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik enkel 2-takt mengsels met de

aggregaat. Maak NOOIT gebruik van pure benzine, dit leidt tot
oververhitting en permanente motorbeschadiging

WAARSCHUWING: In sommige regio’s bevat brandstof een
percentage van alcohol (ethanol of methanol). Het gebruik
van deze brandstoffen is afgeraden. Brandstoffen met een
ethanolpercentage hoger dan 10% mogen onder geen enkele
omstandigheden gebruikt worden. Bij het gebruik van methanol
brandstoffen voegt u roestremmers toe. Methanolniveaus
moeten onder de 5% blijven. Schade aan de brandstofleidingen en/of motors, veroorzaakt door
alcohol houdende brandstoffen wordt niet gedekt door de garantie.

Let op: Voor verdere informatie betreft brandstof verwijst u naar ‘Brandstof opberging’ in de
‘Onderhoud’ sectie van de handleiding

1. Zorg ervoor dat het vergrendelventiel (11) in de uit stand
(verticaal) staat

2. Open de brandstoftankdop (6) door deze linksom te
draaien tot het bajonetmechanisme ontgrendelt en
verwijder de dop

3. Vul de brandstoftank (2) met vers, ongelode brandstof (zie:
Specificaties’), tot de bovenzijde van de gaasfilter (12). Vul
de tank niet te ver

Let op: De benzine hoort in de filter gegoten te worden. Vul de tank niet zonder de filter in
plaats. Maak de filter regelmatig, als beschreven in de ‘Onderhoud’ sectie schoon

4. Wanneer de brandstoftank gevuld is, draait u de tankdop rechtsom op de eenheid vast tot
u een klik hoort

WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de aggregaat nooit zonder een gesloten brandstoftank

Het aarden van de aggregaat

WAARSCHUWING: De aggregaat produceert genoeg elektrische spanning om een persoon

te elektrocuteren of serieus te verwonden

• Sluit de grondkoppeling (1) op de zijkant van de eenheid, op een extern aardsysteem (als
een geschikte elektrische aardkoppeling) aan

• De aarddraad hoort een koperen draad te zijn, met dezelfde of een grotere
dwarsdoorsnede dan het stroomsnoer van het aangesloten apparaat

• De binnendiameter van het aarddraadoog moet een
minimaal 6 mm zijn, om de draad op de aggregaat aan te
sluiten (Zie: Fig. C)

• Maak te allen tijde gebruik van een aardlekschakelaar met
een maximale lekstroom van 30 mA en een reactietijd van
minder dan 40 ms. Volg de instructies van de fabrikant
betreft de installatie en het gebruik in combinatie met een
aggregaat

• Wanneer het gebruik van een verlengsnoer vereist is voor
het aansluiten van geaarde apparaten, maakt u gebruik
van een geaard verlengsnoer met een geschikte dwarsdoorsnede

Checks vóór gebruik

• Het beoordelen van de locatie:

Let op: Plaats de eenheid op een vlakke ondergrond, op een goed geventileerde, veilige
plek, waar het andere apparaten niet in de weg staat en geen gevaar dreigt te zijn voor
andere personen

WAARSCHUWING: Plaats de machine enkel op een vaste ondergrond. Plaats de machine
NOOIT op een werkbank, een steiger of enkele ander verhoogd platform. Trillingen resulteren
mogelijk in het verplaatsen van de machine en het lostrillen van steiger bevestigingsmiddelen.
Metalen onderdelen komen mogelijk onder stroom te staan wanneer de machine defect raakt

WAARSCHUWING: De aggregaat mag niet opgezet worden op plekken waar het een gevaar
driegt te zijn voor omstanders. Zet de machine niet op plekken op waar kinderen en dieren
toegang tot de eenheid hebben en waar de geluid- en trilling uitstoot onacceptabel is. Zet de
machine niet op vochtige, natte stoffige plekken op, waar de machine in contact kan komen
met regen en waar de uitlaatgassen kunnen ophopen

Gebruik

WAARSCHUWING: Tijdens de eerste 20 gebruiksuren hoort de aggregaat enkel op 75%

capaciteit te draaien. Dit is erg belangrijk om de motor in te lopen. Het overbelasten van
de motor tijdens deze periode verkort de levensduur aanzienlijk. Beschadiging dankzij het
overbelasten van de machine tijdens de inloopperiode wordt niet gedekt door de garantie

Het starten van de motor

WAARSCHUWING: Start de motor nooit wanneer apparaten

op de aggregaat aangesloten zijn. Dit leidt mogelijk tot
gevaarlijke situaties dankzij het onbemand starten van de
apparaten. De apparaten raken mogelijk beschadigd en het
verkort mogelijk de levensduur van de aggregaat

1. Zorg ervoor dat geen apparaat op het 230 V stopcontact
(3) is aangesloten

2. Plaats de motorschakelaar (8) in de aan stand

3. Schakel de hendel van het brandstof vergrendelventiel
(11) in de aan stand (verticaal)

4. Duw de choke hendel (9) helemaal naar links, in de koude
start positie

Let op: Gebruik de choke niet wanneer de motor al warm is
of wanneer de machine in een hoge omgevingstemperatuur
gebruikt wordt

5. Trek licht aan het startkoord (10) tot u een weerstand
voelt. Trek nu hard aan het koord om de motor te starten

WAARSCHUWING: Geleid het koord langzaam terug in de
machine en laat het koord niet terug schieten. Het handvat
kan beschadiging aan de behuizing veroorzaken

WAARSCHUWING: Trek nooit aan het koord wanneer de
motor is ingeschakeld! Dit beschadigd het startmechanisme
en de motor

Let op: Wanneer de motor de eerste keer gestart wordt,
wanneer het brandstofsysteem is afgetapt of na het
leegtrekken van de brandstoftank, is het mogelijk vereist
meerdere malen aan het koord te trekken. Het herstarten van
de motor dient enkel 1-2 trekken te vereisen. Verwijs naar de
onderhoudssectie wanneer u problemen heeft met het starten
van de machine

6. Wanneer de motor warmer wordt brengt u de choke
langzaam terug in de tegenovergestelde positie (rechts)

Het starten van een verzopen motor

Let op: Deze paragraaf verwijst naar motors die verzopen

zijn met benzine, GEEN motors met hevige waterschade.
Wanneer uw aggregaat verzopen is met water brengt u deze
voor reparatie naar een geautoriseerd GMC service center

• Om een brandstof verzopen motor te kunnen starten, dienen de volgende kleine
onderhoudspunten uitgevoerd te worden:

1. Open de bougiedop (14) en verwijder de bougie (15) met behulp van de inbegrepen
sleutel

2. Wanneer de bougie besmeurd is of doorweekt is met olie, maakt u deze schoon. Verwijs
naar de onderhoudssectie, Vervang de bougie wanneer vereist

3. Verwijder overtollige brandstof uit de verbrandingskamer door de motor een aantal keer
aan te slingeren, met een ontkoppelde bougie. Doe dit door langzaam aan het startkoord
(10) te trekken

4. Draai de bougie stevig met behulp van de sleutel vast

Let op: Het is aangeraden gebruik te maken van een geschikte bougiesleutel (niet
inbegrepen), gesteld op 20 Nm, voor het afstellen van de bougie

5. Herhaal de startcyclus, alsof de motor al warm is

Het gebruik van de aggregaat op hoogte

• De aggregaat kan veilig en effectief gebruikt worden op de maximale hoogte
weergegeven in de specificaties

• Met elke hoogtestijging van 300 meter verminderd de motor capaciteit met ongeveer
3,5%

• Het gebruik op verdere hoogtes vereist aanpassingen aan de carburateur, waar de lucht/
brandstof mix te dik wordt voor de motor. Neem contact op met uw GMC handelaar voor
advies betreft het gebruik op hoogtes

Het aansluiten van apparaten

Let op: De aggregaat is ontworpen voor het leveren van vermogen voor elektrische machines

en kleine tot middel grote huishoudelijke apparaten. De eenheid is voorzien van een
automatische spanningsregulator, welke een stabiele AC output voorziet en snel compenseert
voor energiestoten. Delicate apparaten die erg gevoelig zijn voor veranderingen in spanning
en frequentie (als computers, televisies, geluidsapparatuur, etc.) mogen enkel op de
aggregaat aangesloten worden met gebruik van geschikte beschermende middelen. Dit geld
tevens voor caravans met permanent geïnstalleerde apparatuur, voorzien bij deze aggregaat.

WAARSCHUWING: Voordat u een apparaat op de eenheid aansluit, zorgt u ervoor dat de
stroomsterkte binnen de limiet van de aggregaat valt. Bij het aansluiten van meerder lasten
via een verlengsnoer, sluit u de zwaarste last eerst aan, gevolgd door de lichtere lasten. Zorgt
ervoor dat de totale stroomsterkte van alle aangesloten apparaten binnen de capaciteit van
de aggregaat valt.

WAARSCHUWING: apparaten met een elektrische motor vereisen een grotere startspanning.
Wanneer de startspanning van apparaten hoger is dan de maximale output van de aggregaat,
start het apparaat mogelijk niet.

Let op: Bij het gebruik van verlengsnoeren dient de totale lengte bij een dwarsdoorsnede van
1,5 mm2 binnen 60 meter te vallen. Bij een dwarsdoorsnede van 2,5 mm2 dient de lengte
binnen 100 meter te vallen

1. Met een draaiende motor steekt u de stekker van het apparaat in het contactpunt van de
aggregaat

2. Schakel het apparaat in

Het stoppen van de motor

1. Schakel alle aangesloten apparaten uit en ontkoppel alle apparaten van het 230 V
contactpunt (3)

2. Schakel de motor schakelaar (8) in de uit stand

3. Sluit het brandstofventiel (11) door deze in de uit stand te draaien (horizontaal)

Let op: In een noodgeval kan de motor snel gestopt worden met behulp van de
motorschakelaar (8). Bovenstaande manier hoort te allen tijde gevolgd te worden om de
eenheid op de correcte manier uit te schakelen
