Gmate® VOICE – Quick Guide to Setting the Meter and Blood Glucose Testing
1. Power on the meter by pressing
either the left or right button. To enter Set mode, push both buttons simultaneously and release quickly. Use either the left or right button to scroll through settings.
2. To set the Volume, press and release
both buttons when the volume setting is blinking. Use the left button to decrease sound, and the right button to increase. Maximum volume is 5. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have selected the volume.
3. To set the Alarm, press and release
both buttons when the Alarm setting is blinking. You may set up to 4 Alarms. Use the left or right button to turn the Alarm On or OFF. If On is selected, to set your 1st Alarm, use the left or right button to select the hour and minutes for the time you want the alarm to notify you. Continue these steps to set up to 4 Alarms. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have set the Alarms.
1. Insert GmatTest Strip with the
electrode facing up into the test strip port. The meter will automatically power on.
2. Lance your finger for blood
sample.
3. Place the blood from your
finger to the tip of the Gmate® Test Strip. Do NOT
press your finger against the test strip. The test strip
will automatically draw the blood.
4. Your blood glucose test result will be
displayed and announced in 5 seconds.
5. Remove and discard used test strip. The
test result will automatically be stored in memory and the meter will power off after one minute of nonuse.
SETTING THE METER
4. To set the Timer, press and release both
buttons when the Timer setting is blinking. Use the left or right button to turn the timer On or OFF. If On is selected, use the left or right button to select the hour and minutes for the amount of time in which you wish to be reminded. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have set the Timer.
5. To set the Date and Time, press and
release both buttons when the Date and Time setting is blinking. Use the left or right button to adjust the Year. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have selected the Year. Continue these steps to set Month, Day, Hour and Minutes. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have set the Date and Time.
TESTING YOUR BLOOD GLUCOSE
6. To set the Language, press and release
both buttons when the Language setting is blinking. Use the left or right button to select En for English or ES for Spanish. Quickly press and release both buttons when you have selected the language.
