Unpacking Your EC2 Host Adapter

Your Glyph EC2 Host Adapter and accessories are packaged in a sturdy shipping container. Please inspect
the container for evidence of shipping damage and mishandling. If the container is damaged, le a report
with the carrier or dealer immediately.

The EC2 Host Adapter package includes:

About the EC2 Host Adapter

The EC2 card has two eSATA ports. Ocially, these are 3Gbps SATA II ports, and can sustain 125MB/s on each
port. The EC2 uses a PCIe slot in your computer. When using eSATA, copy speeds will increase signicantly
when moving large amounts of data from one drive to another. Typically, a GT 050Q can reach around 70MB
per second when using FireWire 800. When connected to our EC2 card, speeds of over 110MB/s are easily
attainable using the same drive. Higher bandwidth is quite handy when you need to backup or move the
entire contents of a large hard drive.
