Please follow a veterinarian/veterinary surgeon’s direction on frequency and time of day for testing.

Intended Use
GlucoRx Vet TD-4268 test strips, when used together with the GlucoRx Vet TD-4268 blood glucose
monitoring system, allow cat and dogs' blood glucose levels to be measured by their owner at home and by
veterinarian professionals in clinical settings as an aid to monitoring the eectiveness of diabetes control in
the animal. It is intended to be used for the quantitative measurement of glucose (sugar) in fresh whole blood
samples. It should not be used for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus.
Professionals may test with capillary and venous blood sample from the pet's paw pad and marginal ear;
home use is limited to capillary whole blood testing.
Storage and Handling

your local regulations.
Quality Control Testing
Our control solution contains a known amount of glucose that can react with test strips. You can check the
performance of the meter, test strip and your technique by comparing the control solution results with the
range printed on the label of your test strip vial. Checking regularly can ensure the test results are accurate.
Please refer to your Owner's Manual for complete testing instructions.
IMPORTANT: The reference range of the control solution may vary with each new vial of test strips. Make sure
you check the range on the label of your current vial. If the LCD displayed code is not the same as the code on
the test strip vial or package, and the code number cannot be updated, please contact GlucoRx Customer care
on 01483 755133 for assistance.
Reading Result
The blood glucose readings deliver plasma equivalent results and are displayed in millimoles of glucose per
liter of blood (mmol/L). The measurement range of this meter is 0.5-33.3 mmol/L.
Please consult a veterinarian/veterinary surgeon for the target glucose values for each animal.
If the test results are unusual or inconsistent:
Make sure the conrmation window of the test strip is completely lled with blood.
Check the expiration date of the test strips.
Check the performance of your meter and test strip with the control solutions.
Make sure your meter has correct coding, and the code is the same as the code on the vial of the test strip
you are using.
PLEASE NOTE: Low or high blood glucose readings can indicate a potentially serious medical condition. If the
blood glucose reading is unusually low or high, repeat the test with a new test strip. If the reading is not
consistent with any visible symptoms, contact a veterinarian/veterinary surgeon and follow his or her
treatment advice.

STEP 1
Insert the test strip fully into the slot of the meter until it will go no further.
When the strip is fully inserted, the meter will do several self-checks.
Please make sure you have calibrated your meter with the appropriate code
strip according to the instructions in the Owner’s Manual before testing.
STEP 2
Collect a blood sample of about 1.0 µL with the test strip. A sucient quantity
of blood is required for the test to provide accurate results. Touch the blood
drop with the absorbent hole of the test strip and wait until the conrmation
window is fully covered. Do NOT apply a smeared blood sample. The meter
will start counting down.
STEP 3
After a few seconds, the meter will display your pet's blood glucose level. The
last reading will be automatically saved in the meter. Turn it o by removing
the test strip.
PLEASE WASH AND DRY YOUR HANDS BEFORE PERFORMING ANY TESTING.
Make sure you use the code strip and calibrate your meter before using for the rst time or changing a new
vial of test strip. Please refer to your Owner’s Manual for more information.
