Please read the following page before attempting installation to ensure complete understanding of the RA1225HP
VHF Antenna.
The RA1225HP antenna is a high performance 2,4m (8’) VHF antenna designed to transmit and receive on Marine VHF
channels. It is equipped with 6m (20’) RG-8X coax cable with a pre-wired FME connector and PL259
adaptor/connector for easy installation.

INSTALLATION
For best performance:
• The antenna should be mounted as high as possible (VHF signal is line of sight so height matters).
• Please keep the VHF Antenna’s cable away from other cables.
• Please keep the antenna vertical for the best performance.
• Please keep the antenna away from large metal objects and other radiating devices like RADAR, TV and GPS and
other antennas (minimum distance: 1m / 3,3‘).
• Pay Attention: the miminum bend radius must be 6cm (2.4’’)
• To install the PL259 adaptor/connector on the RG-8X coax cable, fit the PL259 adaptor on the FME connector and
screw the nut counter clockwise (no soldering required).
