1. Install drivers from the CD
Minimum System Requirements
• Intel Pentium lll 500MHz processor or faster
• Microsoft Windows XP SP1 or 2000 SP3
• 128MB RAM (256MB Recommended)
• CD-ROM Drive or Internet access
• One Available USB 2.0 Port
• 160MB Free Hard Disk Space (260MB Recommended)
• If lower service packs are installed, your resolution will be limited to 160 x 120. Check for the latest drivers from our website, http://www.globalmedia.com
Installation for Windows XP
1. Plug the your camera into a USB 2.0 port. If the Add New Hardware Wizard appears, click Cancel. Otherwise skip the remaining steps.
2. Remove your camera from the USB 2.0 port.
3. Insert the included CD into your CD-drive.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Plug your camera into the USB 2.0 port. Your camera is now ready to use.
Installation for Windows 2000
1. Insert the included CD into your drive. A welcome screen should popup, if it does not, you’ll need to run setup.exe from your CD-drive. You can now follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Once the installer is finished, remove the CD from your drive.
3. You can now plug your camera into a USB 2.0 port.
4. The "Found New Hardware Wizard" should popup. Click "Next". (Fig 1)
5. If a "Digital Signature not found" window comes up, click on "Continue Anyway". (Fig 2)
6. When informed that the "Wizard has finished installing the software for K2r" click "Finish". (Fig 3)
7. If another New Hardware Wizard window appears, follow steps 4 through 6 again.
8. Right Click on "My Computer". Click Manage.
9. On the left hand side of the Computer Management console (Fig 4), click on Device Manager. (Fig 4, D1)
10. On the right side of the Computer Management console, there is an alphabetical list of devices on your computer (Fig 4). Double-click on the "Sound, video and game controllers" line item. (Fig 4, D2)
11. Right click on "K2r Audio" or "USB Audio" and choose Disable.
12. Close all open windows.
Your K2r camera is ready for use!
