4.1 Principles to Follow
You should learn about and strictly conform to the local traffic
and driving regulations. You should wear a safety helmet, kneepads, and elbow pads
when riding the scooter. Please check the battery indicator on the scooter or on your
mobile app before you drive. If the app shows that the power is
less than 20%, the battery should be recharged if long-distance
travel is planned. Each time before you ride, you should check the basic
conditions of your GLITE X1/X1C. If any exposed screws are
loose, tighten them with a proper screwdriver to tighten them. If
any screws are missing, you must replace them before riding. You should not drink alcohol or take sedatives or other
psychotropic medications within six hours of driving your GLITE
X1/X1C.

Prohibited Acts
CHAPTER 4: Safety Specications
4.2 Strictly Prohibited Acts
Don’t ride the scooter in places prohibited by local, regional or national laws or by regulations of any institution with
jurisdiction over the area where you wish to drive. Don’t ride the scooter in automotive vehicle lanes. In some cities, regions and countries, it may also be prohibited to
drive the GLITE X1/X1C in non-vehicle lanes. The local law prevails. Avoid driving in poor driving conditions such as bad weather ( e.g., rain, fog, snow )and poor road conditions ( e.g.,
flooded, icy, slippery or muddy roads). Avoid driving in dangerous places that are not suitable for driving the GLITE X1/X1C, such as trails with deep sand,
roads with large bumps, deep pits, big cracks or flooded patches more than 3cm (1 inch) deep, and slopes with a
gradient of more than 8 degrees. Don’t ride up or down stairs with the GLITE X1/X1C. Under no circumstance should the vehicle be propelled into the
air. Flying over ramps, jumps or barriers at a high speed is strictly prohibited.
Distractive activities such as making or answering a phone call during the driving are not allowed. Rear seat installation is prohibited. Don’t carry passengers, especially babies and infants. Children under the age of 14 or any persons with physical limitations (including the elderly and people with injuries)

Other Precautions
CHAPTER 4: Safety Specications
4.3 Other Precautions
Please learn about and conform to the local traffic regulations before you drive. Please drive at a safe speed and in a controllable way. Keep a safe distance with the pedestrians as well as the cars
on the road in case you need to stop.
Maintain good driving habits. Avoid sudden acceleration or sudden braking when driving. Respect the right of the pedestrians to use the road. Do not startle pedestrians when you drive, especially children
and the elderly. When you overtake a pedestrian from behind, slow down your vehicle and make a verbal warning to
them. When passing a pedestrian, do so on his/her left side. When coming face to face with a pedestrian, drive on your
right side and slow down your vehicle. If there are large crowds of pedestrians at the area, please slow down your vehicle, and drive through the area at a
speed similar to that of the pedestrians. Unless there is enough space for you to pass safely, do not overtake the
pedestrians. Driving at a fast speed is very dangerous in a crowded area. If appropriate, stop, fold and wheel the
GLITE X1/X1C until you are safely beyond the crowded area. Keep a safe distance from other people who are also driving GLITE X1/X1C or similar vehicles. Avoid dangers and
barriers on the road when driving. Unless there is enough space for pedestrians, do not drive side by side.
Do not park your GLITE X1/X1C in places that may cause inconveniences for pedestrians. Do not drive in poor light. If you have to, please drive at a slow speed and stay alert. Running lamps are suggested
to be turned on to maintain a good vision of the road.

Care & Maintenance
Maintenance
CHAPTER 5: Care & Maintenance
5.1 Maintenance Methods
Clean your GLITE X1/X1C after use to keep the scooter in good condition. Before you clean your GLITE X1/X1C, please turn off the power switch and unplug the power cable to avoid electric
shocks and critical failures of the scooter.
Clean your vehicle with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water. Water cannons for car washing must not be used directly on GLITE X1/X1C scooters. Immersing the scooter under
water is also prohibited. Water or moisture accumulation inside the vehicle will lead to faults that may not be able to be
repaired. For indelible stains on the plastics, you can squeeze some toothpaste on the stains and rub the area with a
toothbrush. The method is also applicable when removing scratches on the surface. Please store the vehicle at a dry and cool indoor area. Avoid parking your vehicle outdoors for a long time. Prolonged
exposure to sunlight or hot or cold outdoor conditions can lead to the discoloration of the vehicle.
5.2 Battery Charging & Maintenance Method
The battery pack requires appropriate care and maintenance. A well-maintained battery pack may still perform well
when the scooter has run 10,000 km (6,000 miles). However, a poorly maintained battery pack may show a decreased
full charge capacity or fail to work after only several months of use. To minimize this risk, please take these steps: Please read carefully and follow all safety precautions on the label of the battery pack.
16
Page 22
CHAPTER 5: Care & Maintenance
Please store the battery in a dry indoor environment with temperature within 0°C to 40°C (33°to 104°F). Overly high
or overly low temperature environments will affect the life span of the battery pack. Do not store or operate the battery
pack beyond -20°C to 50°C (-4°to 122°F) environment. Please store the battery pack in a dry and cool environment. Environments of high humidity may lead to dew
condensation or water accumulation inside the battery, which will damage the battery pack. If a humid environment is
impossible to avoid, please seal the battery pack in a ziplock bag. Do not run down the battery before recharging it. When the power is less than 20%, please charge the battery as
soon as possible. It is suggested that you fully charge the vehicle every time after you use. Frequent charges will not
affect the battery life. However, battery depletion will critically reduce its full charge capacity and shorten its life span. Do not insert anything that is made of metal into the charging port on the vehicle. Otherwise, short circuits may occur,
which can cause unnecessary injuries or vehicle damage.
5.3 Carrying & Folding the Scooter
Please carry your GLITE X1/X1C with care. To fold yourscooter, please follow the steps below:
Please make sure that the scooter’s power is off. When folding the vehicle, no tools are needed. Simply step on the GLITE X1/X1C’s rear axle, pull the saddle upwards
and backwards, and click the latch located under the front on the saddle onto the top of the smartphone bracket. Since the GLITE X1/X1C is lightweight and compact when folded, you can put it in the trunk of your car or under a
desk, wheel it onto an elevator or into an office or apartment, and lift it onto a bus, train or subway.

CHAPTER 5: Care & Maintenance
5.4 Regular Maintenance
Except for the screw fastening and the possible replacement of mudguards, the battery pack and tires, there are no
accessories on the vehicle that you can repair by yourself. Please don’t ever disassemble the scooter. If there is any
problem with the X1/X1C’s operation, please contact us or our authorized service stations. GLITE X1/X1C scooters need
regular maintenance in GLITE retailers for your safety and also to ensure the best performance. The chart below displays
the items that we suggest to be regularly checked and maintained and their respective maintenance cycles.
As shown in the picture above, your X1/X1C can be folded up within one second.
Step on the rear axle of the vehicle, pull the front end of the saddle upwards and backwards, and click the latch located under the front on the saddle onto the top of the smartphone bracket.
Grasp the rear end of the saddle and you can easily pull or push the vehicle as you walk.

CHAPTER 5: Care & Maintenance
As the internal construction of the GLITE X1/X1C features a high level of precision, unauthorized disassembly may easily lead to malfunctions of the vehicle. Except for the staff authorized by GLITE, no one is allowed to disassemble the vehicle on his/her own. For any damages, malfunctions, injuries or economic losses caused by an unauthorized disassembly, GLITE assumes no responsibility. For the identification of any unauthorized disassembly, the tag of non-detachable on the vehicle prevails.
