The Glas-Col Minitrol and Minitwin are manually adjusted power controls of percentage-timer
design. They are designed to provide full-line voltage to load from 5-1/2% to 100% of time,
depending on the dial position. The OFF position positively breaks both sides of line. The controls
can be used on any non-inductive load up to rated capacity, and smaller fuses may be used for
protection of very small loads.
These controls effectively regulate Glas-Col heating mantles, tapes and cords. Also, they may be
used for small furnaces or ovens, hot plates, dies or other applications requiring infinite control.
The maximum combined load for the PL3122 Minitwin is 1800 Watts (15 amps). Minitwin may
be used for controlling two separate heating circuits of the same mantle or two separate mantles.
The heating circuits may have the same or different power ratings up to 900 Watts (7.5 amps) at 120
Volts.

Operation of the control is regulated by the operator and does not utilize a sensing element.
After a desired temperature has been determined on the initial run, a simple resetting of the dial
offers control for repeated operations.
1. Turn control knob to OFF position.
2. Plug device into the 3-wire outlet of the control.
3. Insert plug of the control cord into 3-wire wall or bench receptacle.
4. Adjust knob to desired setting. The pilot (cycle) light is connected across the output side of
the control and indicates power to load.
The control should not be exposed to ambient temperature above 125O F (52 C)

Les régulateurs de puissance Minitrol et Minitwin, à commande manuelle, fonctionnent en
coupant et rétablissant le courant alternativement, c’est-à-dire en augmentant ou diminuant le temps
de passage du courant, à plein voltage, de 5-1/2% à 100% selon la position de l’index sur le cadran.
La position OFF (hors circuit) coupe le courant des deux côtes. Ces régulateurs peuvent être utilisés
jusqu’à leur puissance nominale pour toute charge à résistance non-inductive; on peut se servir de
fusibles de moindre ampérage pour protéger des appareils de très faible puissance.
Ces régulateurs sont destinés à régler l’allure des chauffe-ballons, rubans et cordons
chauffants de Glas-Col, mais peuvent servir aussi pour régler des fours et des étuves de faibles
dimensions, des plaques chauffantes, moules et autres appareils.
