7.Do not block any vents. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8.Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other devices (including amplifiers) that
produce heat.
9.Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plu g. A polarized plug has two blades with one
wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement
of the obsolete outlet.
10.Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles, and the
point where they exit from the device.

13.Unplug this device during lightning storms or during long periods of disuse.
14.Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the device has been damaged in any
way , such as power-supply cord or plug damages, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device, the
device has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

WARNING:
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THIS APPLIANCE TO
RAIN OR MOISTURE. The device should not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects
filled with liquids, such as vases, should not be placed on the apparatus.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equil ateral triangl e, is intended to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of
electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is int ended to alert the user to the presence of important operating
and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Only replace with the same or equivalent type.
WARNING: The battery (battery or batteries or battery pack) should not be exposed to excessive heat such as
sunshine, fire or the like.

WARNING: The mains plug/appliance coupler is used as a cutoff device, the cut-off device should remain readily
operable.
WARNING: DO NOT INGEST BATTERY, CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD
The remote control supplied with this product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is
swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using
the product and keep it away from children.
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical
attention.
Protective earthing terminal. The apparatus should be connected to a mains socket outlet with a
protective earthing connection.
Batteries in the remote control: Keep the remote control battery away from children. It may cause a fire or chemical
burn if mishandled. Do not rech arge, disassemble, heat above 212ºF (100ºC), R ep lace only with a battery of the
correct type and model number (CR2025 li thiu m coi n cell battery , 3 V).
Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings on the back of the device. Put the system in a position and location
that will not interfere with ventilation, to ensure reliable operation of the device and to protect it from overheating. For
example, do not place the device very close to a wall or in front of a curtain that may reduce the heat sink efficiency.
Cleaning: Please note we have included a cleaning cloth with your device. To avoid making scratches to the surface,
we recommend that you use the cleaning cloth included. Before cleaning, please unplug the device from the AC power
outlet.
Sitting or leaning on device: Do not lean against the device and do not sit on it under any circumstances.
Avoid hearing damage: Playing very loud music for an extended period of time can result in permanent hearing loss.
Label location: The product labels and safety related markings are located on the rear panel.
Outside Antenna: If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to this product, be sure the antenna or cable
system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of
the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFP No. 70 information, Section 54 of the Canadian Electrical Code, with regard to
proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size
of grounding conductors, location of antenna/discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for
the grounding electrode.
Note to CATV system installer: This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer’s attention to Article 82040 of the NEC (of USA) that provides guidelines for proper grounding. In particular, it specifies that the cable ground
shall be connected to the groundin g system of the building, as close to the point of cable entry as is practical.
Operating temperatures: The recommended operating temperature range for the Geneva Sound System is 41 to 104
degrees Fahrenheit (5 to 40 degrees Celsius).

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to
Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is
no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning
the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment
under FCC rules.
