Thank you for purchasingthe G&K Brand Soup Kettle. Before operating this unit, read and familiarize yourself with the following operating and safety instructions.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE OR BURN

TO REDUCE RISK OF INJURY:
Plug only into a 220-240V 10 AMP
electrical outlet.
Use only on flat, level surfaces.Unplug soup kettle and let cool before
cleaning or moving.
Unplug soup kettle when not in use.Do not immerse.Do not spray with water or cleaning
agents.
Handle hot water carefully.Do not operate unattended.Important: Do not operate the unit
without water in well.

FUNCTION & PURPOSE
This unit is intended to hold containers of hot soup at the proper serving temperature. It is NOT intended to cook raw soup or reheat prepared food.
OPERATION
1. Place the Soup Kettle on a flat, stable surface.
2. Always follow soup manufacturer’s instruction to prepare soup. Soup can be mixed in a separate container or directly in the food insert. Nevermove or carry the entire kettle when hot or full. Cold food is not to be added to unit for re-heating while hot food is being held.
3. Fill the well with 2.4 liters of water. Do not overfill the well. Do not operate this unit without water in the well.
WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD.
DO NOT FILLWITH MORE THAN 2.4 LITERS OF WATER. IF
LEVEL IS TOO HIGH. WATER MAY OVERFLOW WHEN THE
SOUP CONTAINER IS INSERTED. THE OVERFLOW COULD
ENTER THE ELECTRICAL COMPARTMENT AND CAUSE A
SHORT CIRCUIT OR ELECTRIC SHOCK.
3. Plug cord into a 220 - 240V, 10 Amp electrical outlet.
4. Preheat the water in the well by covering the well with an empty soup kettle or cover and
then set the heat control to the maximum heat setting. Pre - heat for 30 minutes.
5. Place stainless steel soup insert of hot soup into the Soup Kettle. To prevent spills, do not
over fill the Soup Kettle.
6. HOT FOOD HOLDING - Reduce the setting of the knob by 1/4 and monitor soup
temperatures closely for food safety. The United States Public Health Service recommends that food be held at a minimum of140°F (60°C)(and/or in compliance with the local health codes) to help prevent bacterial growth. Maintain water level at 2.4 liters. Periodically (approximately every 2 hours) remove container of soup and check the water level. Add hot water if needed. Adjust up or down as required by the soup type for safe temperature.

WARNING

HOTWATER AND STEAM IN THE WELL CAN BURN SKIN.
USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES, MITTS OR POTHOLDERS WHEN
REMOVING FOOD CONTAINER OR COVER. HOT FOOD CAN
ALSO CAUSE BURNS. HANDLE FOOD CAREFULLY.
CLEANING
To maintain appearance and increase the service life, the soup kettle should be cleaned daily.
1. Before cleaning or moving, unplug the unit and let it cool completely.
2. Carefully empty the water from the well.
3. Wipe the entire well interior with a clean, damp, cloth.
4. To avoid damaging the well finish, do not use abrasive materials, scratching cleaners or Scouring pads to clean water deposits from well.
5. If soap or chemical cleaners are used. Be sure they are completely rinsed away with clear
water, immediately after cleaning. Chemical residue could damage warmer.

REPAIR
There are no user serviceable parts within this appliance. To avoid serious injury or damage, never attempt to repair the soup kettle or replace a damaged power cord yourself. Contact a Professional repair service.

PERSONNEL ONLY.
Warranty
Allgoods imported by G&K Distributors P/L are guaranteed against faulty workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.
All goods claimed under this warranty must be returned to the place of purchase or authorised servicing agent, freight prepaid, for inspection.
Any part found defective will be replaced, however if the appliance is damaged in transport, misused or modified it is not covered by this warranty.
Thecustomer is responsible for all traveling time / servicecallcosts. If a unit is in workingorder and no fault is found,thecustomer willbe charged anassessmentfee whichmust bepaid prior to the unit being returned to them.
If a unit is found to be unclean, service will not be undertaken and the client informed.
G&K Distributors P/L reserves the right to reject a claim for warranty if it is not completely satisfied with the circumstances under whichit occurredandany cost incurredfor falseclaims or faultsdue to incorrect usage etc. are the responsibility of the claimant.All claims should be accompanied by a proof of purchase receipt. Under no circumstances shallG&K Distributors P/L or any subsidiary company or agentbe liable for loss of profit or damage to otherequipment and property.
