Troubleshooting
No power. Cook/Warm lights do not illuminate.
1. Check power point is not faulty and power is switched on.
2. Fuse may need replacing. Refer to your servicing agent.
Note On One-Shot Thermal Fuse: Your G&K Rice Cooker has been fitted with the very best One-Shot thermal fuses available on the market. Thermal fuses are designed to protect the element in the case of a power surge or an overheating event.
Thermal fuses are considered to be consumable components. A blown fuse occurs as part of the normal protection of your Rice Cooker from events that may otherwise irreparably damage the unit. Thermal fuses also have a limited life span, much like light bulbs, and will need to be replaced from time to time (this is normal) and not a warranty issue. Fuses can be purchased through your retailer or through G&K Distributors Pty Ltd directly. The fuse should be fitted by a suitably qualified expert. Labour is not covered by G&K Distributors Pty Ltd.
In order to avoid blown fuses please:
Avoid operating unit on faulty power points.

minutes before resetting the cook function.

add water to cooked rice being kept warm). Dry rice should be discarded.
Do not operate the rice cooker on power points that are shared by
other appliances.
Keep the heating element and the sensor in the centre of the
heating element, free from dirt, rice or burnt food residue. Dirty sensors and elements will cause the fuse to blow due to overheating and faulty temperature sensing.
