Mounting the module
Selecting installation site
43/17 10 86 19 80
At an incorrectly selected installation site, the
Gira G1 temperature sensor module will
measure the room temperature incorrectly.
- Avoid an installation site that has a draught
(e. g. between a window and a door).
- Avoid direct proximity with heaters and
windows.
- Never cover the Gira G1 temperature sensor module (e.g. curtain).
Unlocking and opening the Gira G1

4 Remove blind plug to the left under the
holding frame.
5 Attach temperature sensor module with
the 6-pole spring contact at the former
position of the blind plug in the holding
frame. The 6-pole spring contact must be
visible in the process.
Swivelling in the Display module
Electrical devices may only be
installed by a qualified electrician.
Temperature detection via the
temperature sensor module is
only supported in the Gira G1
from index status I09.

Calibrate sensor
Preparation
- The "Internal sensor" setting must be activated in the ETS for the parameter "Sensor
selection".
- The Gira G1 temperature sensor module
must rest for at least 60 minutes after the
voltage has been activated before the calibration can be carried out.
- The room in which the Gira G1 temperature
sensor modulel is installed must have no
draught or temperature fluctuations during
this time.
- Now measure the room temperature with a
precise thermometer at a distance of at
least 20 cm from the wall.
Execution

4 Enter the measured room temperature
(10).
5Touch [ok] (11).
The [System] view is opened.
The Gira G1 then progressively adjusts the
measured value.
This process may take up to 20 minutes. No
specific message is displayed when the
calibration is complete. Please do not carry
out any further calibrations during the 20minute waiting time as this can cause
problems.
