1.Product Information

GM4008 is an eigh t- chann el 0~24mA acquisition modu le, it adopts th e all-electri c isolation scheme and comp letes the current measureme nt in a small volum e, wh ic h coor dina tes with th e high-performance MPU and eight- ch annel 12-bit ADC. . The modu le has the bu ilt-in hi gh-performan ce power co nverter, an d t he po wer in put vo lt age ra ng e i s 7.5V 36V, and the eﬃc iency is up to 90%. Th is feature provides protection for wor king a long time . The con verter has a built- in 1500V dual isolation powe r suppl y module, which makes co mplete isolation amo ng the po wer sup ply i np ut, analo g measu rement circuits and communication i nterf ac es.The f ea ture provides guarantee for the mea sure precision , stability and co mmonali ty of the module. . The modu le has a 100 M ethern et circuit which can c omplete 0~ 24m A acqu isit i o n func t i o n fr o m a l o n g di s t a n ce. T h e communicationof the mo dule is stable,reli able and not dr opped. The modu le has a bu lt-in 32-bit high-tech ar m mcu. It can not onl y acquire the eight -channel 0~ 24mA current ,but also suppo rt the funct ions of ﬁrm ware upgra des which ca n provide tech nical gua rantee fo r maint aining, updating and bug ﬁx ing.

Analog signal(current)input

The input s igna l is 0 ~24mA measured current, and the con nect or

contains 8 input channe ls and 2 GN D te rmin als. The two GND

terminals connect t ogether internally and CH0~CH7 are eight

channel s for current in put, an d the current always goes thro ugh

one c ha nn el and th e sa mple resistan ce, and ﬂow f ro m th e GND

port.

In order to fa ci li ty the users, the mod ul e a da pt s two ways to

express the measured va lue,as shown below:

integer and dec imal isolate mode

The re gi st er with addre ss 400 01 is the i nteger part o f channel 0 mea sured value ; The regist er with address 40002 is the fractional pa rt of channel 0 measured value. You can ge t the measured value with the following equation:

measured value(mA) = va lu e[4000 1] + val ue [4 0002 ] /1 00

For example: if the value of 40 001 r eg is te r i s 5 an d the v al ue of 40002 register is 60.

The reg is te r with a ddre ss 400 03 is the ot he r re pres en t meth od of channel 0 me as ur ed val ue , which is mapped by 10 0- ti memagniﬁed analog signal and the stored values is signed integer. You can get the mea su red value wi th t he fol lowing equat ion:

8. Paramet ers Conﬁguration And Fi rmw are Upgrades

The module has the built -in function of parameters conﬁg ura tion and ﬁrmware upg rades, short the conﬁguration pins wi th GND an d re-power t o boot into the parameters conﬁgur ation or ﬁrmware upgrades state. Parameter conﬁ guration or ﬁrmware upgrade is comple ted by the brow sers of computers, mobile phones, tablet computers and so on. .
