1. Safety indications
Please read these notes carefully before use. Make sure to follow
the instructions and keep them in a safe place ! If this aid is to be
♥ ALWAYS consult with your physician or supplier to determine proper
adjustment and use of the device.
♥ Don’t store outside and don’t let under the sun (Beware: don’t let the
product in a car in case of high outside temperature !!).
♥ Don’t use in extreme temperature (above 38°C or 100°F or below 0°C
or 32°F).
♥ Check carefully all parts of this item (screws, tubes, castors...).
♥ Check regularly if all parts are tightened.
♥ Use only in proper way : don’t stand on the table.
♥ ALWAYS observe the weight limit on the labelling of your product.
♥ After assembling the table, make sure that it is securely locked in OPEN
position and level to the ground before using.
♥ No modication must be made on this device. Use only original parts to
replace the broken or defect one and let this be done by the technical
staff.
♥ In case you didn’t use your table for a long time, let it checked by the
technical staff, before using.
♥ Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device shall be
reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member
State in which the user and/or the patient is established.
2. Indications & Contraindications
Our over-bed table, is designed to t over a hospital bed or wheelchair and to
provide a patient a stable surface to eat meals upon as well as to be used for a
lap-top computer, playing board/card games, reading, or for hobbies.
3. Description and Fitting instructions
Our bed table has a tilting foot and top for a functional and comfortable use
in all situations, seating or lying down. The whole frame can be folded at for
storage. The laminated top is edged with an anti-shock border allowing books
to be held. Supplied with 4 castors, two of them are lockable.
Side plates available for all models as an option.
Only specialists can adjust the product and teach you how to use it. A wrong
use or adjustment could lead to overstress of the device or of the patient.
1. Check for any obvious damage to the carton or its contents. If damage is
evident, notify the carrier or your authorized Herdegen distributor.
2. The bed table is delivered folded. To unfold it, pull out the locking pin located
on the base and move the bed table upwards into a vertical position; release
the pin to lock it. Make sure that the pin is fully engaged through the hole, see
(1).
3. To adjust the height of the plate, unscrew the knurled screw and lift the
plate until the desired position is reached, then tighten the knurled screw by
screwing clockwise, see (2). Beware, when unscrewed, hold the plate so that
it doesn’t fall.
4. To recline the plate, pull out the locking pin located under the plate and
recline the plate at the desired position, then release the pin to lock it. Make
sure that the pin is fully engaged through the hole, see (3).
5. To break the castors, see (4).
6. To add a side plate, recline the plate vertically and insert the side plate into
the pipe, then lock it with the allen key and screw it (included), see (5). The side
plate remains horizontal.
Beware : Do not lean on the suspended end of the table top; this may
cause the table to tip.The table supports up to 15kg of dispersed weight.
Do not exceed this limit.
3. Cleaning
Clean the product regularly with a dry and clean cloth.
4. Materials
Tube in epoxy painted steel, PP castors and wooden tabletop.
5. Disposal
Dispose of this product in accordance with your regional waste disposal
regulations.
6. Technical specications
Check the table at the top of the user’s manual. This product has a 24 months
warranty, from the date of purchase, against any manufacturing defect.
