he following instructions describe all
OTOPEX/DENPEX chairs versions and all
possible accessories, and, because of this
reason, not all paragraphs could be applied to
your specific chair.
EUROCLINIC will supply to authorised assistance
technicians all information that could be
necessary for installation and repair.

It is prohibited to double, memorize and divulge
this publication without written authorisation of
EUROCLINIC.
All kind of information, technical specifications and
pictures, which you will find in the following pages,
are not binding.
EUROCLINIC reserves itself the right to make
modifications and make technical improvements

Original text of this manual is in italian and english

IMPORTANT DIRECTIONS!
• Please, disconnect general switch, before
leaving outpatients department.
• This chair is not protected against fluids
penetration.
• Do not use this equipment in presence of
inflammable anaesthetic gas mixture with
oxygen and proto-oxide azote.
• The equipment can be electrically
connected only to other instruments
provided with CE mark.

With regard to patients with cardio-stimulator or
hearing prothesis, please consider possibile
effects of used instruments on cardio-stimulator
on hearing prothesis. In this connection, please,
kindly pay attention to technical-scientific literature
about this subject.
• The equipments have been protected for
contiuous working with intermittent load. You will
find prescribed working and rest times listed
below:
Working: 1 minute
Rest: 10 minutes

• EUROCLINIC guarantees about security,
reliability and performances of its equipments.
• Warranty is conditioned by the following
indications respect:
Observance of conditions which you can find on
warranty certificate.
The equipment must be used only according to
instructions listed in this manual.
Electrical equipment of the sourroundings where
the chair is installed has to be up to standards
C.E.I. 64-4 (standards about electrical equipments
for medical places).
Assembly, repairs, enlargement of equipment,
adjustments and in general all operations about
coffer opening must be made only by technicians
authorised by EUROCLINIC.

DUE USE AND IMPLOYMENT WAYS
OTOPEX chairs are medical equipments for E.N.T
treatement. DENPEX chairs are medical
equipment for dental treatment.
Attention!
Maximum load of the chairs is kg 170. This value
must not be surpassed.
BIOCOMPATIBILITY
Stuffings are lined with Skay: you will find only
EUROCLINIC original pieces.

SORROUNDINGS CONDITIONS.
The equipment has to be installed in sorroundings
with the following feautures:
a) temperature between 10° and 40° C
b) Relative dampness between 30 and 75%
c) Atmosphere pressure from 700 to
1060hPa.
CLASS
The chair OTOPEX (DENPEX) according to
the norms 60601.1 regarding safety electrical
is of CLASS II B (double isolation)
according to the norms 60601.1

INSTALLATION
Lift the chair out from the package, without
inclining it, and place it on the floor.
Insert the rubber feet inclining the chair only
forward or backward, NEVER
LATERALLY(because you may damage the
carter).
Connect the main plug.

FUNZIONAMENTO
Tutte le funzioni si attivano dal pedale

Pomello joystick (C)/Knob
WORKING
All functions are activated by the foot pedal.

IFTING – LOWERING
L
Moving forward the “joystick” (C), the seat is risen.
Moving backward the “joystick”, the seat is
lowered.
BACKREST ADJUSTMENT
Moving the backrest you obtain also the
synchronised legrest movement.
Moving the “joystick” (C) to the right, the backrest
is risen.
Moving the “joystick” to the left, the backrest is
lowered.

By pushing the right push button, the backrest
reaches automatically the maximum upright
position without changing the height of the seat in
order to facilitate the rinsing operation.
PLEASE, KINDLY NOTE THAT this automatic
movement inhibits for 20 seconds the “joystick”
functions. If you would like to interrupt this
movement, push again the right push button.
AUTOMATIC ZERO POSITION “0”
By pushing the right push button, the chair
reaches the minimum seat height and the
backrest maximum up right position.

This position, which is defined as “ZERO”,
facilitates the patient in getting on and off the
chair.
ARTICULATED HEADREST
By loosing or tightening the knob behind the
headrest, you free or block the adjustment of the
headrest in order to correctly position as regards
to the patient’s head.
It is possible, though the know behind the
backrest, to adjust the height of the headrest.

MOBILE ARMREST
In order to facilitate patient’s lifting and lowering,
armrests can be orientated laterally, as you can
see on the picture.
It is necessary to push up the armrest and rotate it
to external side.
After this, bring it again to primary position and
repeat the operations on the contrary way.
FIXED FOOT REST
The chair is provided with a fixed foot rest which
function is only to assure a maximum ergonomics
for the patient, leaning the feet on it during the
visit

SEAT ROTATION
When needed, the seat can rotate both to right
side and to left side. To set free the rotation,
please, kindly press A lever turning it in anti-clock
wise. When you reach your desired position, block
rotation, turning the lever in clock wise.

AINTENANCE.
M
it is very important to periodically lubricate all the
parts of the chair which are mechanically moved
(like pivots, screws, springs) – in order to always
guarantee the maximum efficiency and preserve
the good functioning of the chair.
CHAIR CLEANING.
All materials used to construct the equipments
can support cleaning and disinfection operations
due in these instructions.
The great variety of drugs chemical products,
which are used on medical study can damage
painted surfaces and plastic material parts.
Proofs and inquiries made substantiate that
surfaces cannot be outright protected by
aggression of all products which you can find on
the market.
The effects of these products above all depend on
time and stay on surfaces.
It is important to remove that chemicals by a
damp colth from equipment surfaces immediately.
To clean, please, kindly use a damp colth; do not
spray the detergents directly on the equipment.

Do not use products which contain alcohl,
ammonia, abrasive substances, benzene.
The concentrations listed below are the maximum
ones that are consented and they cannot be
surpassed:
Quaternary Ammonium: maximum 2%
Glutaric Aldehyde: maximum 2%
EUROCLINIC WILL NOT BE HELD
RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY
USE OF DISINFECTANTS WHICH CONTAIN
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES DIFFERENT FROM
THOSE ABOVE MENTIONED.

DENTIFICATION LABEL
I
Identification label is placed on lifting arm,
under the seat.
It is filled in as follows:
The kind of chair is determined by an
indelible felt-tippen writing near the name.
On the “clock” above on the right side are
specified construction year and month.
On the tables below on the right are
mentioned membership class in relation to
electrical security, working tension and
network frequency and maximum power
absorbed by the chair.
You will find equipment serial number below
on the left.
According to European regulations in force
CE and discharge symbols are transferred.
