DESCRIPTION
Device for the prevention of decubitus in 100% cotton, with
silicone hollow fiber padding. Some devices are equipped with
Velcro fasteners. The high resilience and breathability allow an
effective action in the prevention of the onset of pressure ulcers.
INDICATIONS
Decubitus prevention for bedridden patients in order to
decrease pressure peaks, reduce shear and friction forces and
promote air circulation.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Medical device indicated for the prevention of decubitus, to be
used following a clinical evaluation carried out by a specialist
doctor. Place the device on the affected part of the body and
secure with Velcro fasteners where present. It is therefore
recommended to regularly mon-itor the affected area, to move
the patient frequently, and to pay particular attention to hygiene.
For this purpose, it is advisable to consult the protocols and
guide-lines for the prevention of pressure ulcers. Always wear
personal protective clothing when using the device. Non-fireproof
device.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
No contraindications were found except in cases of
ascertained sensitivity to the component materials.
