Instructions for use
Take the needle out of the pouch. Before starting the procedure, make sure that the notch
of the cap is correctly inserted into its connector housing.
Place the stopper on the cannula in the right position. Remove the needle protection while
holding the stopper firmly to prevent any possible coming out. Insert the needle in the
abdomen on a perpendicular axis and follow ultrasound path (previously detected) until
the amniotic sac is reached. Remove the mandrel and connect a proper syringe (20cc
recommended) to the needle connector. Aspirate amniotic liquid by exerting a slow and
moderate negative pressure on the syringe until the desired amount of amniotic fluid has
been sampled. Disconnect the syringe, re-insert the mandrel into the needle and remove the
needle.
Place the amniotic liquid into a dry, sterile test tube and keep it at a temperature of 37°c.
Caution: Read the instructions before using the device. Do not reuse. Use only if the package
is not damaged. Use immediately after opening. Dispose of after use according to the laws in
force. For use only under trained medical staff. It may contain traces of nickel.
