Before i ns ta ll at io n, m ak e su re the door, especially double-action d oo rs , al wa ys r et ur n to the dead center after i t is open ed . Use door hinges if necessary.

Install the m ag ne t as se mb ly i nto the door frame be fo re installation th e armature assembly into the do or leaf. Th e magnet as se mb ly requires space t o run wir es , as w al l as s pa ce for t he recesses portion of th e unit. Make su re tha t the position selected for the magnet assembly leaves enough r oo m on the door to inst al l the armature assembly.

1. Make sure the gap between the door top rail and the frame header is within 2 mm.
2. Test the do or o pe ra to r on a si ng le s wi ng d oor to se e if it works. Che ck double swing do or s to se e if th e central lines on the door frame and door leaf align.
3. Mark the central lines on th e d oo r a nd fr am e w he re the ma gn et a ss em bl y an d armature assembly will be installed.
4. Attach the templates to the door and frame.
5. Cut and dri ll holes where the t em pl at es in di ca te . Connect the wires. Install the magnet a ss em bl y a nd armature ass em bl y tow ar ds the l ea di ng edge of the door.
6. Connect to the power and check the unit.
A. Fo r proper operation, th e a rm at ur e assembly mu st be close an d parallel to th e magnet assembly, wi th ou t interfering with opening and cl os in g o f t he do or. Keep a distance of 2 mm between the arm at ur e a ss em bl y and the magnet assembly.
B. If t he loc k bolt attracts t he arm at ur e asse mb ly when the do or is not in position, please ad ju st the door operator and floor hinges.
C. I f th er e is no output fr om the bond sensor, please remove secondary di od e installed across th e ma gn et assembly. Also adjust the surfaces of the magnet a nd the armature assembly.

Make sure the gap betw ee n th e Sh ea r Lo ck and the Armat ur e Pl ate are t he s ame whi le a dj ustin g th e gap.
Proper operation cannot be expected with more t ha n 2 mm gap be tw ee n th e armature and the magnet. Use the ke y wrench provided to a dj us t the armature v er ti ca l adjustment screws.
