Introduction
Congratulations on choosing to purchase the Giani Mipal II10” Tablet PC. This manual contains important safety information and operation instructions, so please read all these instructions carefully before using the tablet PC and keep it for future reference. This manual will help you to use all of the exciting features to make your tablet PC more enjoyable.

Safety & Important Notice
Always follow these basic safety precautions when using your device. This will reduce the risk of product damage and personal injury.
• Do not disassemble, repair or modify the device by yourself. Refer servicing to qualied personnel.
• Do not dispose of the device in re to avoid explosion because the device has built-in battery.
• Do not touch the device with bare hands if the built-in battery is leaking. In this case, contact service centre for help since the liquid may remain in the device. If your body or clothes has come into contact with the battery liquid, wash it o thoroughly with water. Also, if some of liquid gets into your eyes, do not rub your eyes but immediately wash them with clean water, and consult a doctor.
• Keep the device away from direct sunlight and heat source.
• Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture to avoid any
malfunction.
• Never apply heavy impact on the device like dropping it or placing it on the magnet.
• Route USB cable so that people and pets are not likely to trip over or accidentally pull on them as they move around or walk through the area..
• Clean only with a dry cloth. Make sure the device is turned o before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleanser.
• Be sure to back up your les. We will not be liable for the loss of data due to improper operation, repair or other causes.
- Prolonged listening of the music player may cause damage to the
ear.

- Precautions in using the headphones
- Do not use the headphone while driving an automobile or riding a
bicycle. It is not only dangerous, but also against the law. To avoid an accident, do not turn up the volume of the headphones too high while walking.
- It’s not recommended that you use the headphones at a high
volume for an extended time as this may cause hearing damage.

Power On/O: Allows you to turn the device On/O button.
Home Button: Navigates to the Home Page.
Back Button: Takes you back to the previous page
viewed.
Menu Button: Navigates to the Menu Page or takes you back one stage.
HDMI Connection: Allows you play 720p HD content on external High Denition capable screens/monitors.
Wi-Fi On/O Button: This slide button enables the Wi-Fi receiver as well as disabling it.
Camera: This is a 2.0MP Camera.
Microphone: In-built microphone
2x USB Ports: This is where you connect the USB (in/out) to
keyboards/mice + USB memory.
Power Connection: This is where you connect the DC power source.

Volume Button: Allows you increase or decrease the volume of the
device.

Before you Start
Please note: This section will deal with some of the fundamental elements of the device that you will need to know before beginning to use the 10” Mipal II Tablet PC. Please read this “Before you Start” section carefully before operating the device.
3.0 Charging the Battery
1. Before you begin using the device for the rst time please ensure you fully charge the device (for more information please read the following).
2. The battery of the device is charging automatically when the device is connected to a wall power source. When charging, the indicator lighter is red, and it will turn green after it is fully charged.
Important:
• Recommended temperature for battery charging is 0 to 35°c.
• Fully charge it before you use the device for the rst time or when
you haven’t used it for a long time.
• Charge the device when the “Low battery” message is displayed.
• Do not over charge or discharge the device. Over charging or
discharging will shorten the battery life.
• The battery could be over discharged if the device is not used for a long time (over three months). To avoid over discharge, fully charge the device every three months. Keep the voltage of the battery above 50%.
• If the device is not used for a long time, store it at a temperature of between 23°c and -5°c and the moisture of 65-20% RH to maintain the performance of the battery.

3.1 Turning on the Device
Press and hold the [POWER] button to turn on the device. If the device has a low battery, plug one end of the power adaptor into the DC socket in the device, and the other into a wall outlet.
Note: To turn o the device, please press and hold the [POWER] button again.
Once the power has been turned on the start-up screen will display. Please allow the device to fully load before trying to operate.
Please also note if you leave the device untouched for a long period of time it will automatically switch o to conserve power.
3.2 Using a Touch Screen Device
The touch screen can sense the movement of your nger. The basic operations you can perform with your nger are shown below:
Note: Never attempt to place objects onto the touch screen, as the screen can be scratched or damaged.
• Click: Single tap the icon or option you wish to select.
• Long press: You can long press (2 Seconds) the icon to select you desired option, or drag the icon (App) to the shortcut bar at the bottom of the desktop or you can drag it to the bin on the right hand side of the screen to delete it.
• Drag: You can drag the icons to change their positions on the desktop or between pages, or move the application icons to the shortcut bar.
The device is also compatible with an external mouse. After a mouse is connected, you can use the mouse for such operations as clicking, selecting, dragging, sliding or for right clicking to pop up the menu.

3.3 Screen Orientation
You can change the orientation of the screen to both portrait and landscape view points depending on what you wish to view. When you hold the device in a portrait direction, the interface will show the contents in a vertical way. When you hold the device in a landscape orientation, the screen contents will be shown in a horizontal view point. The device will do this automatically when you change the orientation by which you are holding the device.
You can disable this function if required. Please refer to “Settings >
Sound & Displays” section in this instruction manual.
3.4 Touch Keypad
When you need to input text or digits into the device you use the “Touch Keypad”. This will appear automatically on screen when you select an area which you can enter text or digits into.
The “Touch Keypad” can simply be operated by pressing the desired keys. If you require to enter uppercase, number digits or glyphs you press the options button in the bottom left hand corner until you reach your desired selection screen.
Note: The device is compatible with an USB keyboard. However if a USB keyboard is connected to the device, some keys may become ineective.

3.5 Vibration Interface
The Vibration Interface gives you a physical tactile indication of selecting options or applications through light vibration in the device.
To turn this option on: Click the “Settings” icon on the shortcut bar, and select settings for the voice and display mode. Then press the check box next to “Haptic Feedback” and when the vibration function is enabled a green tick will indicate it is switched on.
To turn this option o: In vibration mode, you can click the settings icon on the home page, and select settings for the voice and display mode. You then press the check box next to “Haptic Feedback” and the vibration function is disabled. You will notice the green tick disappear.

4.0 Unlocking/Locking the Home Screen
When you have powered up the device, the screen will display the “Home Screen” however you will notice that screen is locked. You must rst unlock this screen before you can access the main Home Screen.
To do this you must, press and hold the pad lock icon and drag the icon upward toward the dot in the centre of the screen until the screen unlocks and allows you to access the home page.
Please Note: When you wish to lock the screen you single tap the [Power] button and this locks the device screen. To unlock the screen again single tap the “Power Button” and follow the above steps again.
Please also Note: The screen will automatically lock after a period of time when the device is not being used. To unlock the screen please follow the above steps. You can change the screen lock timeout by going to Settings > Display > Screen Time Out and following the instructions.

4.1 Home Screen (Overview)
Status Bar: This is used to inform of certain important
information as well as having shortcut functions (Please see the “Status Bar” section).
Widgets: Widgets are applications that run on your home
screen. For more information please see the “Widgets Section”
Application Button: The Application Page Button takes you to the
“Applications Page”.
Shortcut Bar: The Shortcut Bar is home to applications you wish
to access quickly. Please see the “Shortcut Bar Section”

4.3 Home Screen - Status Bar
At the upmost part of the screen is the status bar, There are buttons and status icons present on this bar. They are listed and described above. The important elements of the status bar are such as the strength of Wi-Fi signals, Ethernet Connection, Battery Level and the Time.

Shows that device has a Wi-Fi or alternative Internet connection. The more bars, the stronger the connection. See “Connecting to the Internet” on page 18
Battery Shows the battery level or charging status.
Volume - Decreases the volume of the device.

Home Navigates you to the home page

4.2 Status Bar
Below is an image of the”Status Bar” which is found at the top of the screen on the device and below that, there is descriptions of the icons:
4.4 Applications/Home Screen
The home page of the Tablet PC consists of two modes: “Application Page” and “Home Screen”. The two modes can be switched through the button at the middle of the shortcut bar. The application page is were all the applications are located for a brief description of what these applications see the next page.

Application icon What it Does
Internet Browser
This Icon will redirect you to the Internet browser. Please read the “Using the Internet” Sections of the Instruction Manual for instructions.
E-Mail
This icon will take you to your e-mail account inbox. You can send and receive e-mails from this application. Please see “Using E-Mail” section.
Music Player
The Gallery is an application where you can view your pre-loaded or images taken on your in-built camera.
Video Player The Video Player is an application to play your pre-loaded video les.
The Music Player is an application to play your pre-loaded audio les.
Camera
Is and in-built 2.0MP camera that can both take still pictures and record video content.
Gallery
Contacts
The Contacts application allows you to store contact information of family, friends or associates on the device.
Settings The Settings application is where all the devices settings can be found.
My Pad
The My Pad application can be used to manage all les stored on the device or on the external memory.
Sound Recorder
The Sound Recorder application allows you to record and store audio recordings.
Calculator The Calculator application is a basic digital calculator.
Alarm Clock
The Clock application is a 24/12 hours clock that has the option of setting alarms.
SlideMe (SAM 4.0)
SlideMe is a third party application pre-loaded. You can download applications for your device here. For more information please visit: http://slideme.org/
Calendar
This application lets you create events, meetings and set reminders using a day,week or month calander view.
Dolphin Browser

4.6 Using Applications
An application is a program designed especially to be used on a mobile device.
You can install and delete Applications. You can also drag the icons between the operation areas or between operation area and shortcut bar.
To Open: Single press the application icon to open it.
To Move: Long press the icon. Drag the icon to any place on the
desktop, or drag it to the recycling bin to delete it.
4.7 Widgets
A Widget is a graphical application that is displayed on your top level home screen. Examples of a widget are the “Weather Widget” or the “Clock Widget”.
To add a widget to your home screen press: Menu>Add>Widgets in the “Home Page” interface. And then select the widget you want to add. Once added, you can double click the icon to perform the related operations such as changing the widget settings.

4.8 Shortcut Bar
You will notice a bar on the bottom of the screen. This is the shortcut bar and is visible both on the “Home Page” and also in the “Application Page”.
You can add an Application to this Shortcut Bar:
1. You rstly select the application you wish to remove rst from the “Shortcut Bar”
2. Long press (2 seconds) the icon on the bar and drag it on to your applications page.
3. Select by long pressing (2 seconds) the application you wish to place on the “Shortcut Bar” and drag it over the free space
4. Release your nger over the space to drop in to place.
Please Note: You can only have a maximum of 6 shortcuts on the
“Shortcut Bar”.

Connecting to the Internet
Before you start using the Internet you must ensure you have a Wi-Fi router and network or are close to a Wi-Fi network that you have access to. If you do not have a Wi-Fi network you must contact your Internet provider for assistance. Alternatively You can also connect via the device with an Ethernet cable straight to you Internet connection point.
5.0 Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
1. Ensure that the “Wi-Fi Switch” has been pushed to the left to turn the Wi-Fi receiver on.
2. Select the icon “Settings” on the shortcut bar on the desktop.
3. Select “Wireless & Networks” in the setup menu.
4. Enable the Wi-Fi by clicking on the check box until it becomes green.
5. Select “Wi-Fi Settings” to set up the Wi-Fi network.
6. All active networks in your area should then be listed. Select the network you wish to connect to.
7. The network you are trying to connect to may be security enabled, you must know your password to proceed any further.
8. If the password is correct you can now press “connect” in the pop­up window.
9. If you do not have a security enabled network bypass steps 7 & 8 above and simply press “Connect”.
10. If the connection is successful, a Wi-Fi icon: indicating the successful connection will appear on the status bar at the top of the desktop.
11. You should now be connected to a Wi-Fi network and able to open a web browser to surf the Internet.

Using the Internet
5.1 Connecting to a Ethernet Internet Connection
After you insert the network cable into the port designed for Ethernet on the device, the icon: will appear on status bar at the top of the screen.
The device will then obtain the IP (Internet) address automatically to access the desired network. The network access can also be connected through a manual setup. Once you see: on the status bar you will be connected to the Internet. Please ensure the “Ethernet” is enabled in the settings menu.
5.2 Opening a Web Browser
On the shortcut menu bar you will see the web browser “Brill Gifts” icon this is your portal to access the Internet. Once you have selected this icon you will open a web browser.
You will notice that the browser will default to:
www.thebrilliantgiftshop.co.uk - Please note that you can navigate away from this page at any time. However this has been “Bookmarked” as your home page.
5.3 Web Navigation & Web Searching
Once you have opened a web browser there are two ways you can browse the web. You can use a web address or you can use the search engine to search for dierent topics, subjects or anything you can think of...
If you know the web address of the website you would like to visit then press in the web address eld at the top of the browser page. This will open the “Touch Keyboard” automatically, you can enter the address in here and press “Go” for the web browser to search for your desired web page.

Using the Internet
Please ensure the web address is correct to ensure that you nd the page your are looking for.
Alternatively you can use the search engine in a similar way. Simply press in the same text eld and then the “Touch Keypad” will open. Type what ever you would like the search engine to search for, and press “Go”. The search engine uses the web spider “Google” to search for web pages related to your search enquiry. You can then select from the results provided by “Google” by pressing the blue links. This will open your desired page.
5.4 Web Bookmarks
If you would like to save your favourite website you can do this by “Bookmarking” the site and saving it to your bookmark list. A bookmark list is a quick way to navigate to your favourite websites. To do this press the bookmark icon: when you are on the web page you desire to bookmark. When you have entered the bookmark section press on the “Add Bookmark” button and this will now add a bookmark on this page.
5.5 Web Browser Basics
Links: When you are on a web page you can press the
links and banners to open them. To open a drop down menu on a website simply do the same as you would on a normal computer.
Scrolling: To scroll down a page press and hold on the far
right of the screen and run your nger up or down the screen to scroll up or down the page respectively.
Page Back: If you would like to navigate to the previous page
simply press the “Back” button on the status bar.

5.5 Web Browser Options
By pressing the “Menu Button” on the “Status Bar” you will open the Internet options menu. In this menu you will nd the following:
New Window: This will open a new web browser page without
closing the current page open.
Bookmarks Where you can bookmark a page
Windows: Allows you to view and navigate windows you
are currently running, you can also delete the windows you no longer wish to view or have open.
Stop: This will stop the web browser from searching.
Forward: This will navigate forward to a web page if you
navigated back a page.
More The “More” option opens a sub menu with further
options available which are listed below:
- Add a Bookmark: Where you can bookmark a page
- Find on Page Allows you to search for specic words
within the page you are currently viewing.
- Select Text Allows you to save text from a
web page.
- Page Info Will allow you to view information
about the website you are currently viewing.
- Share Page Allows you to send the hyperlink of the
page as a link in an email or by other social networks.

Using the Internet Cont./ Email Application
- Downloads This option will display any downloads
you have made from the Internet.
- Settings Allows you to customize your Internet
browser. You can customize various aspects of the web browser from security settings to text size and screen view orientation.
6.0 Connecting to an Email Account.
Before you can start using the email application on this device you must rst set up or have a email account set up. Please note you cannot set up an email account through the email application. You must rst visit a third party email provider and set up an account. Please also note you must put the correct address and password in the setup process. The email application will only support personal email addresses such as: Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo etc.
6.1 Connecting Via your Device
1. Press on the Email Application.
2. Firstly enter your email address i.e: joe.blogs@example.com
3. Enter your password into the password eld.
4. Press “Next”
5. You will be asked to give your e-mail account a name and also enter your full name. Once you have done this press “Done”
You should now have set your email account up on your device. You will be now taken to your email account inbox.
6.2 Composing and Sending an e-mails
Firstly open the email Application. You will be automatically taken to your inbox. Press the “Options Button” on the “Status Bar” this will give

you some options along the bottom of the screen. Select “Compose” this will take you to a blank email. Firstly enter the email address of the recipient, then type in a subject for the email. Once you have done these two tasks you can press into the message eld and type your message using the “Touch Keypad”.
Once you have composed your email you can do two things you can “Send” (This will send the email to the recipient) or you can “Save to Drafts” (This will save your email to a draft folder to be sent at a future date).
6.3 Opening an e-mail
Firstly open the email Application. You will be automatically taken to your inbox. Using your nger scroll down the contents of your inbox and once you have found your desired email press on the email subject to enter and read the email.
6.4 Email Functions
When you are in the mailbox (inbox/sent/drafts) there are a number of options you can select. To access the options press the “Sub Options Menu” on the “Status Bar”.
The Options/Functions available to you are as follows:
Refresh: This option will connect with you email providers
server to check for new incoming email’s.
Compose: This will open a black email for you to compose a
email and select your recipient.
Folders: This access the folders menu where you can view
your “Sent” or “Draft” email’s.
Accounts: This will show you what email accounts are active
on the device.

Email Application
Account Settings: You access and edit many aspects of your
email account such as “Account Name”, “Mailbox Name” and “Email Notications” etc.
6.4 Email Functions.
When you have opened an email there are a number of options you can select. To access the options press the “Sub Options Menu” button on the “Status Bar” when in an email you have opened.
The Options/Functions available to you as follows:
Delete: This option can be used to delete messages in
the “Inbox”, You rst press in the top right status bar Options>Delete when you are in the desired email.
Forward: This will allow you to forward the message on to
one person or a number of people depending on your desired action.
Reply: This will allow you to respond to the message
sender or if you are in a group email it will just send a message to the last person that sent you an email in the chain.
Reply All: If you are in a chain or group email “Reply All” will
allow you to send a response email to the mailing list.
Mark as Unread: When you have read an email it will be marked
as read in your inbox. If you wish the email to look as if it has not been read you use this option to do so.

Inserting a Micro SD Card
7.0 Inserting a Micro SD/MMC Card (Not Included)
Before you can transfer such les as Audio, Video and Images you must rstly insert a Micro SD card into the device to allow the storage of such les on the Mipal II 10” Tablet PC. The device supports Micro SD Cards up to 32GB in storage size (Not Included).
Please follow the below instruction carefully to ensure you correctly insert the Micro SD Card and not damage either the device or the card.
You can insert a Micro SD or MMC card to the device.
1. Align your card with the SD card slot. Put it in place. (You may need
to use your nail or a blunt thin object to press the card in to place)
2. Push the card until it is locked. (You will hear a click)
To remove the Micro SD/MMC card: Press the card in to release it and pull out the card of the slot.
Note:
- Please ensure that the card is correctly inserted (The correct way up -

PC Connection & Transferring Files
8.0 Transferring Files from your Computer to your Micro SD Card
Before you can transfer such les as Audio, Video and Images you must rstly have a “Micro SD Card” and a “SD Card Reader” or a “USB Pen”as this is the only way you can transfer les from your computer to you device :
Please follow the below instruction carefully to ensure you correctly connect to your computer. (SD Card Reader or Micro SD Cards - Not Included)
1. Make sure that your computer has been turned on before you start.
2. Insert the Micro SD Card in to the slot on the SD Card Reader.
3. Connect the SD Card Reader via the USB cable into a free USB port on your computer. [Be aware that the SD Card Reader is now connected to your computer]
4. When the device is connected to your computer, a “Removable Disk” will be created in “My computer”.
5. Open “My computer” the “Removable Disk” will be displayed.
6. Drag and drop the les on your computer to the “Removable Disk”.
Note:
• Do not disconnect the USB cable during le transferring. It may cause malfunction of the Micro SD Card and les.
8.2 Disconnecting the SD Card Reader from the PC
After you have nished transferring les, please disconnect the Micro SD Card reader from the computer as follows:

1. Left click the “Removable Disk Icon“ at the task-bar.
2. Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Stop the USB Mass Storage Device –Driver (X)”.
3. When you are prompted to remove the device, you can unplug the SD Card Reader.
4. You can now insert the Micro SD Card into the Device.
Note:
• Please ensure that the device is switched o when you are inserting the Micro SD Card.
• Please ensure you insert the Micro SD Card into the device correctly.
8.1 Inserting a USB Memory Stick
You can also insert a USB Memory stick in to the device via one of the two USB ports. Simply insert the memory stick into the slot whilst the device is switched on. You will be able to access and transfer the les from the USB to the Micro SD Card by using the “My Pad” application.
(Please ensure you have an “Micro SD Card” inserted into the device prior). To transfer les open the “My Pad” application. You will notice at the top of the screen you will see what storage devices are inserted.
To access the USB press the button with the name of your USB storage device. Find and select the le you wish to copy over to the “Micro SD Card” press the “Copy” button on the options bar between the le list and the storage device options on the top of the screen. Find the destination le you wish to copy the le to and press “Paste”. For more information on the “My Pad” application please see section 20.0.

Music Player Application
9.0 Music Player
The music player allows you to play music les (See Technical Specication Section for audio formats supported) either through the in-built speakers or through connected headphones.
[Please Note] You must rst transfer your audio les from your computer
before you can access them on the “Music Player” Application.
9.1 Using the Music Player
When you have transferred your audio les and stored them onto the device (Micro SD Card) you should rstly go to the “Application Page” > “Music Player”. This will open the “Music Player”.
Once the “Music Player” is open you will see your transferred audio les listed. To play an audio track scroll down to your desired le, then simply press the audio le title.
Your audio le should automatically begin playing.
You can press the “Play/Pause” button to start and stop playing a track or you can use the “Skip Forward” or “Skip Backwards” buttons to navigate between tracks.

9.2 Music Player Functions and Options
There are a number of functions that the music player allows to improve your listening experience.
Play/Pause: This allows you to begin playing audio tracks as well as pausing them during the track play time.
Skip Forward/Back: This allows you to re-start the track or skip to the previous or next track listed.
Fast Skip: This allows you to skip to a specic time in the track by holding down the blue track indicator and moving forward or backwards as you desire.
Song: This allows you list all the audio les by song title in alphabetical order.
Artist: This allows you list all the audio les by artist’s name in alphabetical order.
Album: This allows you list all the audio les by album title in alphabetical order.
Search: This allows you search for your desired track by searching for key words related to that track, artist or album.
Music Player Application
10.0 Video Player
The “Video Player” will allow you to play MPEG
2, MPEG 4 (upto 720p)
and WMV video les. To open the “Video Player” press on the application icon. This will open the video library, and will display any video’s stored on the Micro SD Card or USB that are compatible with the device. If the movies are not listed press the “Media Scanner” button on the “Status Bar”. This will refresh the movie library and list any compatible les.
10.1 Video Player Functions:
Video Library (Standard View): This will display all the videos as
screen shots for you to select to play.
Video Library (Film Reel View) This will display all the videos as lm reel shots for you to select to play.
Favourites: This will display all the videos that have been rated by yourself for more information on how to do this please see “Favourites Rating” below.
History: This will display all the videos that have been recently played.
Search: You can search for key words to nd your desired movie.
Playing a Movie:
The video les will list in the library view, simply press the le you wish to play and it will begin playing. Once the video is playing you can perform the following:
Play/Pause: This will allow you start and stop the video.

Favourites Rating: This will allow you to rate the video so that it will be shown in your favourite movies.
Skip Back/Forward If you single tap either of these buttons it will skip to previous or next video respectively.
Back to Library: This will navigate you back to the video library.
Volume: You can increase and decrease the volume.
Progress Bar: The progress bar will allow you to track the time remaining with the video. You can also use the progress bar to skip forward and backwards to any point of the video. You do this by pressing on the white dot and hold it down, then using your nger scroll it left or right to your desired point in the video.
10.2 HDMI
Please also note: You can connect your device to a HD Ready Monitor or Screen via the “HD Connector” (the HDMI lead is not included). You can use the device via the video player to play stored content on the screen or monitor up to 720p quality.

12.0 Using the Gallery Application
The Gallery Application will display all images stored on your device’s (Micro SD Card).
1. Firstly to open the application, press the “Gallery Application” icon.
2. When the application is open you will notice your images have been grouped together (as shown above).
3. Press on the group of images to open and view the images in that group.
4. Once the image gallery has opened you can select the image you wish to view by simply pressing on it.
5. Once the image has opened you can navigate through the images by pressing and holding then scrolling your nger left or right respectively.
6. You can zoom into the image pressing the + & - zoom buttons in the bottom right corner or the screen.
7. To go back to the gallery overview page pressing the “Home Button” at any time.

Zoom: This will zoom in or out of the image (use your nger to navigate around the image.

• Share This will allow you to send the image via an email or using various social network methods.

options:
- Details: Information about the image you are viewing
- Set As: Allows you to set the image as your wallpaper or assign to
contact information.
- Crop: Allows you to crop the image to size.

The “Contacts Application” allows you add contact information of family, friends or business associates. As well as being able to add contact information you can also add images and group contacts together in order of relevance. 17.0 Calendar
The “Calendar Application” can enter events and reminders and you can view your events by day, week, or month. You must rst enter your email details into the application rst, this will allow the calendar to send you notications to remind you of events saved.

In this section there is information about how to troubleshoot minor issues that might occur whilst using the device.
Mipal not responding
If your Mipal isn’t responding then hold the “Power O” button for 7 seconds then let go, if it still doesn’t respond then you will need to press the reset button.
Applications
Here are a list of issues you might encounter whilst using the device
• If there is a problem opening an application or during the operation of the application then it may be due to the application not responding. Try the “Home Button” if it is still unresponsive turn the device o and on again.
• If the application is still not responsive then contact your place of purchase. If the application was purchased or downloaded after purchase then please visit: http://slideme.org/faq as we cannot provide customer support for applications downloaded from 3rd parties.
• If there is some applications missing please visit the manual and look in the section “Getting started” and look at part 4.5 “Applications Explained” and nd the application you are missing and please contact place of purchase.
• If you notice a small “!” symbol on the “Status Bar” please place your nger at the top middle of the screen on the “Status Bar” and slowly drag your nger downwards. A menu will appear that will list any errors currently on the device (for example a USB stick could have been unplugged incorrectly) to remove this symbol just click on the explanation.

Internet
If you can’t connect to the internet please make sure the following things are checked:
1. The wireless router is turned on.
2. Make sure the “Wi-Fi Switch” is on (to nd the location of the switch please visit the instruction manual and go to the section “Overview” part 2.1). Also make sure the Wi-Fi is switched on in the wireless settings. You can do this by going into “Settings” > “Wireless & networks” and click the tick next to Wi-Fi check box.
3. If your Wi-Fi is protected by a password then make sure you are inputting the correct password for your Wi-Fi network, if you don’t know the password then contact your Internet provider.
4. If you can’t nd your network then move closer to your wireless router as you may be too far away.
5. The Ethernet cable is plugged in fully both into the device and the router (if using a cable as apposed to Wi-Fi).
6. Make sure the Ethernet cable isn’t damaged.
7. The Internet application is located on the applications page with the thumbnail of a red square “brill gifts” labelled “Browser” it is also on the shortcut bar at the bottom of the screen. The Browser will automatically take you to the web page : www.thebrilliantgiftshop.

1. The device will only support personal email addresses not business email address servers.
2. If you cannot set up your email make sure you are typing in the email address correctly in the correct case as email addresses are case sensitive.
3. When you set up your email account it may ask what type of server is required, you need to make sure you select the correct one. To make sure you get the correct one. Contact your email provider to nd out which is correct.
Sending and receiving emails

Recovering Deleted Icons
You may have noticed that you can delete icons from the “Applications Page” you do this by pressing and holding the application you wish to delete and dragging it over the trash bin icon that appears on the right of the screen until it turns red and then dropping the icon.
To recover the application and replace the icon on the “Applications Page” you rstly press Sub Menu > Add Application > Select the Application you wish to reinsert to the “Application Page” > You should now see the application on the said page.
