for future use or storage for your appliance. Alternatively, dispose of
accordingly.

Important Safety Information

Read all of the instructions before using this appliance and
keep safe for future reference.

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions
should always be followed, including the following:

This appliance is for domestic use only. Do not use
outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
Do not immerse the main body in water.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
less than 8 years
This product is not a toy.
Do not use the appliance if any parts appear to be faulty,
missing or damaged.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to
the mains supply.
Always unplug from the mains supply before carrying out
any cleaning, performing user maintenance or changing
accessories.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or
damaged in any way.
Check to ensure that the electricity supply matches that
shown on the rating plate.
Only use the attachments/accessories supplied with the
product or recommended by Giani.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualified service agent in order to avoid a hazard.

Only use this appliance for its intended domestic use. Giani
Ltd will not accept any liability if the appliance is subject to
improper use, or failure to comply with these instructions.
Keep the appliance and its power supply cord away from
heat or sharp edges that could cause damage.
Keep the power supply cord away from any parts of the
appliance that may become hot during use.
Always locate the appliance away from the edge of the
work top.
Do not disconnect the appliance from the mains power
supply by pulling the cord, switch it off and remove the plug
by hand.
Do not store in direct sunlight or high humidity conditions.
Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
Do not touch any parts of the appliance that may become
hot as this could cause injury.
The surface of the appliance may get hot during operation.
Do not cover the appliance when in use or until fully cold
after use.
Always ensure the appliance has cooled fully after use
before performing any cleaning or user maintenance or
storing away.
Use of an extension cord with the appliance is not recom­mended.
This appliance should not be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote control system.
Keep the appliance away from flammable materials.
Do not use with a mains extension, external timer or remote
control system

Non-stick grill plates for easy usage and cleaning.
Easy-to-use adjustable temperature dial.
Upper plate opens up to a 105 degree angle.
Upper plate indicator lights up when in use.
Ready indicator light lights up when the appliance is ready to use.

How to Use

1. Remove all packing material and any warning stickers.

2. Wipe the plates with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dust. Wipe dry with a
soft cloth or paper towels.

3. Place the appliance on a suitable flat work surface, leaving enough space
between the back of appliance and the wall to allow heat to flow without causing
any damage to the cabinets or walls.

4. Plug the power cord into the mains socket, and turn the temperature dial clockwise
to the desired temperature. To turn on the upper plate, press the upper plate
On/Off switch. Once the appliance has reached the desired setting, the light will go
off. The appliance runs off a thermostat, to maintain the correct temperture the
appliance will cycle, causing the light indicator to illuminate and then go off
throughout the cooking process.

NOTE: Hot steam may be released between the cooking plates. Care should be

taken to prevent your hands coming into contact with the steam.

6. After use, unplug the appliance from the mains socket and allow to cool before

carrying out any cleaning or storing away.

Note: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.

1. Clean the lid, base, and cooking plates with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive soap
or dishwashing detergent. Then wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth and towel dry.

2. Store the appliance in a clean, cool, dry place.

Note: Never store the appliance while it is still hot or still plugged in.

Note: Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Any stress on the cord may
cause it to become weak and loose.
