4.8 Bus settings

The bus function is a pre-requisite for connection to other TZ320 door control units, to the tableau unit TE220, to the visual display software VAT220SN or to an OPC interface OPC220.

4.8.1 Assign bus address

A bus address can only be assigned once within a bus line. Bus addresses already assigned are skipped in the service menu.
If the bus addresses are assigned before the bus connection is engaged, the bus addresses can be assigned several times. Then, there is a fault report.
In the service menu, choose bus configuration > bus address > change
value and select bus address.
The selected value is displayed on the upper display row of the service terminal.

4.8.2 Switch on the bus function

Assign a bus address in the service menu.
The connection to other door control units etc. is established.

4.8.3 Check bus function

Re-assign an assigned bus address in the service menu.
Possible: no bus connection is availableImpossible: Bus connection is functional

4.8.4 Switch off the bus function

In the service menu, set the bus address on the value 0.
The connection to other door control units etc. is disconnected.

4.8.5 Set bus functions

Signals of a burglar alarm system, time-switch or fire alarm system can be given to the bus via a door control unit and several door control units can be controlled simultaneously. To this end, it is enough to switch on the signals once on a door control unit or terminal box in the bus system. The signals are displayed on the bus system from there.
Burglar alarm system (EMA)
If the burglar alarm system signal is active on a door control unit, it is locked primarily. In an active burglar alarm system, the doors can no longer be unlocked via a push button, switch, tableau etc. By actuating the local emergency button as well as a burglar alarm system signal, the door is released and emergency unlocked respectively.
Fire alarm system (BMA)
If the fire alarm system on the door control unit is active, it is unlocked primarily and a local alarm is triggered off (acoustic via integrated buzzer and optical via integrated LED). The system remains unlocked until the signal is no longer available and the alarm was reset onsite on TE220 or on the VAT via the key-operated push button.

Time-switch (ZSU)
In the door control unit, a weekly time-switch is integrated, with which up to three times can be stored. In addition, external time-switches can be connected to the door control unit or the terminal box. For the setting of the time-switch
Arrange functions
Five groups can be formed in all three functions. A group can be formed per door control unit and be shown on the bus. The bus signal is given to the bus on the door control unit, on which the master bus function is selected in the group. In the same group, all door control units that should react to the signal must be set on bus function on.
If several groups are formed, the signals must be entered in different door control units/ terminal boxs.

4.8.7 Set sluice

The necessary control electronics for the sluice function is already integrated into the TZ320 door control units. Two types of sluices can be set up:
Active sluice: In the active sluice, all doors set as active sluice in the initial state are locked
and closed. Only one door can be short-term unlocked in a sluice group. If one of these doors is short-term unlocked, it simultaneously sends a signal to all other doors in the sluice group and, consequently, prevents the short-term unlock of the remaining doors that are still locked. If one door is continuously unlocked, the sluice function is automatically switched off on this door. The sluice function is switched on again by locking the door.
Passive sluice: In the passive sluice, all doors set as passive sluice in the initial state are
unlocked, but closed. If one of these doors is opened, i. e. the door leaf moves, the door sends a signal to all other doors in the sluice group. The remaining doors are then locked and opening is prevented, e.
In passive sluices, two or more doors opening simultaneously cannot be prevented.
Active and passive sluice mixed: In this configuration, when opening the door with passive
setting, the control devices of the door with active setting is locked. In actuating the control devices of the door with active setting, the door with passive setting is unlocked.
g. via short-term unlock.
Select/deactivate sluice type
In the service menu bus configuration > sluice > sluice type > choice,
select the desired type.
The selected value is displayed on the upper display row of the service terminal.
The doors must be locked during the first commissioning of the sluice. An immediate inspection by activating the emergency button is possible at all times. The emergency button is effective only for the corresponding door.
Group sluices
Ten sluice groups with 63 members can be formed within a bus line respectively.
In the service menu select and set bus configuration > sluice >
allocation > group1-10 > choice (default setting: not assigned).
The selected value is displayed on the upper display row of the service terminal.

TST320 on MST210 (control via the motor lock)
For instructions regarding the connection diagram see page 43.
With the variant, key-operated push button on the door control unit is not necessary. Changeover of the mode of operation (unlock/lock/short-term unlock) takes place via the motor lock.
Actuation of the cylinder:
< 3 seconds = short-term unlock3 - 8 seconds = unlock> 8 seconds = service mode
(Details from the state "unlock". In the case of an unlocked system, it is, first of all, locked.)
Options:
1: Connect output 2 of TST320 to the input "day/night" of MST210 if the door control unit
is in "permanent unlock" and the motor lock must be on the mode of operation "day". For this function, set output 1 on "OM drive".
2: The output "handle" (terminals 16 + 17) of MST210 can be connected to an adjustable
input of TST320 (terminals 2 + 52 or 53). Mode of operation: "Pre-alarm" is triggered off when the handle is activated in a locked door control unit. For this function, set the input of TST on "handle".

3) Set output 1 on "door drive system mode of operation".
4) Set output 2 on "door drive system control".
5) Bridge circuit set in the original condition.
Remove the bridge circuit during an indirect release.
6) Disconnect the internal program switch.
Mode of operation: RWS locked
The revolving door drive system is in the mode of operation "night".
The drive system is controlled by actuating the short-term release on the TZ320. The door closes and the door control unit locks after the lapse of the hold-open time set on the drive system.
On the drive system, set the short-term unlock time of TZ320 longer than the hold-open
time.
RWS unlocked
The drive system is in the mode of operation "automatic".
The control devices connected to the drive system are active.
No program switch may be connected to the drive system because the door control unit
takes over the control of the modes of operation. From software version DCU5 V2.1 and hardware version DCU500 Rev. B, the program switches DPS and TPS can be connected to the drive system. In connecting the program switch DPS or TPS, connect output 1 of the door control unit (OM drive) to the adjustable input PE1 or PE2. On the DCU5, set the input PE on "night". On TZ320, set output 1 on "opener".

6) Disconnect the internal program switch.
No external program switch may be connected to the drive system.
10)In combining RWS with inverse drive system, the inverse drive system takes over the control of
the emergency exit opener. In 2-flanked Connect the drive systems of the emergency exit openers to the corresponding drive system respectively.
11)Bridge the reset input.
12)Parameter "TZ setting" - "inverse door drive" = "available"
13)Output 3 = "fire alarm system" and "low-active"
When setting, the following sequence must be take into consideration:
1. Set input on "disabled".
2. Connect opener contact.
3. Set input on "low-active".
14)On the drive system, set parameter "9" (door opener) on the value "02" (standby current door
opener) or "05" (standby current with tension compression before opening).
15)On the drive system, set parameter "16" (type of drive system) on the value "01" (TSA160NT
inverse).
Voltage supply of the mains shut-off circuit board takes place via terminals 5 + 6 of TST320. The emergency exit opener is also supplied via terminals 5 + 6. For control by means of the drive system, supply via the "output TOE" of the drive system is uninterrupted. In actuating the emergency button, the F-shut-off circuit board is switched off and the emergency exit opener is disconnected from the mains. The door opens via spring tension. Optionally, it can be set on the drive system if the drive system should keep the door shut in a closed position (parameter 17, solenoid valve).
TSA160NT on KL220 terminal box
Use outputs 1 - 6 of terminal box if there are insufficient outputs on TST320 for TSA connection. The setting of the outputs is identical with the settings of the door control unit.
Use the terminals COM and NO in outputs with change-over relay (outputs 4, 5 and 6).

7.2 Glossary

Direct release (according to EltVTR)
Security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism via an opener contact by actuating the emergency button.
Indirect release (according to EltVTR)
Security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism if further switching operation, which then interrupts the electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism, is triggered via an opener contact by actuating the emergency button.
Unlock (according to EltVTR):
No security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism, e.
Emergency unlock (according to EltVTR):
No security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism, e.
g. via a key-operated push button.
g. via a hazard alarm system (GMA) or a similar automatic tripping device.
Pre-alarm:
An acoustic signal, which should point out to the user that the timeout has started, is released if the release time is exceeded during an inspection. The duration of the prealarm is adjustable within the range of 0 sec. – 10 min. The door is automatically closed and the pre-alarm is reset if the door is closed during a pending pre-alarm.
Door alarm:
Likewise, the so- called door alarm is triggered off if the pre-alarm time is exceeded. It can be reset via the integrated key-operated push button or all inputs "short-term unlock" as well as via the tableau TE220 or the visualisation VAT220SN. If the door is closed during a pending door alarm, it is locked and can only be unlocked again when the alarm has been reset (except for the actuation of the emergency button). Door alarm is also triggered off after a "break-in through the door" if the door is opened by force without previous release.
Abort of the short-term release:
During abort, the door locks ahead of time if the door is closed and the release time is unexpired. Consequently, accessibility for unauthorised person can be prevented after somebody had passed through the door.
The setting abort can be disabled via the service menu. Then, the door always remains unlocked for the duration of the preset time. The release time can be aborted by reactivation via the key-operated push button.
Post trigger of the short-term release:
The release time restarts if a short-term release is triggered again during the release time.
The setting post trigger can be disabled via the service menu. In a running release time, the system locks again if a short-term release is triggered once again with the internal key-operated push button or a programmable input.
