1 In this document
This instruction describes the installation, commissioning and connection of the GEZE Terminal T 320.
1.1 Product description
The GEZE terminal is part of the SecuLogic escape route system and secures and monitors electrically locked
doors in bidirectional emergency routes. Doors along emergency routes are reliably safeguarded against
unauthorised access in both emergency directions by the GEZE door control unit with Terminal T 320.
Simultaneously, entry in emergency situations is ensured at all times via the integrated emergency button.
1.2 Other documents
Data sheets with technical data are included in delivery of the corresponding components. You will nd these
data sheets and other documents as well as the detailed installation and commissioning instructions with
connection diagram for the door control unit TZ 320 No. 131537 on the internet at www.geze.de/SecuLogic.

Safety and liability
2 Safety and liability
The GEZE terminal was designed according to state-of-the-art technology and recognised, safety-related regulations.
However, there might be danger during installation and use. Therefore, pay attention to the following instructions.
2.1 Basic safety instructions
XX
Installation, commissioning and repairs may only be carried out by experts authorised by GEZE.
XX
Use only GEZE original parts for repair work.
XX
GEZE assumes no liability for damages resulting from unauthorised changes to the system.
XX
Primary safety measures take place on site.
XX
The standards VDE 0100 and VDE 0815 must be observed during cable routing.
XX
An expert must check the doors with electric locking mechanism in the escape routes once a year.
The expert is to issue a certicate on the in-service inspection, which the operator has to show
on demand to the building supervisory board. Inspection can be carried out by a GEZE
service technician or a professional organisation authorised by GEZE.
XX
Furthermore, GEZE recommends that the operator inspects the escape route system monthly for externally
identiable damages and defects. Such damages and defects, if existing, must be repaired immediately by a
GEZE service technician or a professional organisation authorised by GEZE.
Intended Use
The GEZE door control unit is designed to control and monitor electrically locked emergency routes.
External products may only be integrated after consulting GEZE.
SECULOGIC T 320
Contrary to intended use
The connection of products which were not expressly approved for use by GEZE is contrary to the intended
purpose.
2.2 Product liability
à In accordance with the manufacturer's dened liability for its products in the Product Liability Act,
attention should be paid to the information contained here and in corresponding installation instructions and
connection diagrams for the product (product information, intended use, incorrect use, product performance,
product maintenance, obligations to supply information and instructions). Non-observance releases the
manufacturer from its liability.
à Only experts authorised by GEZE may carry out installation, functional inspection and maintenance.
GEZE assumes no liability for damages resulting from unauthorised changes to the system.
à GEZE assumes no liability for combining with devices from other manufacturers. Use only GEZE original parts
for repair work and maintenance.

3 Installation and assembly
WARNING!
Danger of electric shock.
XX
Installation may only be carried out by an expert authorised by GEZE.
XX
Check that the cables are disconnected before installation.
3.1 Requirements
à Cable routing is in accordance with GEZE cable diagramà Automatic circuit breakers as primary disconnection on the mains-sideà Compliance with the VDE 0100 and VDE 0815 standards for the cable routingà Sabotage secured cable routing according to VDE 0833 (on-wall cables in the steel tube)à For in-wall plug socket variant installed near the door (depth 62.5 mm) with an installation height top of oor
of 850 mm to a maximum of 1200 mm for the emergency button
3.2 Install the terminal
Installation of the T 320 terminal is identical to installation for the door control unit TZ 320. Consult the
installation instructions from the Installation and Commissioning Instructions No. 131537 or the Brief Instructions
No. 139926. When using a T 320 terminal a TZ 320 is always required. The TZ 320 assumes control of the system.
Installation and assembly
4 Commissioning
4.1 Requirement
Before the rst commissioning of doors with electric locking mechanisms in the escape routes, correlation with
verication of suitability is to be conrmed by means of a certicate issued by the manufacturer. An expert must
also ensure that the electric locking mechanism is installed properly and operational (see checklist for
commissioning in the TZ 320 instructions or in the inspection book).
The door control unit TZ 320 must be in operation, and the connection between the door control unit and
terminal must be set up according to the connection diagram (page 12). All settings for the terminal are
implemented via the door control unit TZ 320.
4.2 Service mode
The service mode must be activated at the door control unit TZ 320 in order to set parameters on the terminal.
4.2.1 Switch on the service mode
Requirement:
à There is no alarm.à The burglar alarm system is disabled.
XX
Turn the key left and hold for approximately ten seconds.
à The right LED lights up green, the left and lower LEDs are o.
4.2.2 Switch o the service mode
XX
Do not make adjustments or select 'end of service mode' in the service menu for three minutes.
à The door control unit and terminal are in normal state again.

6
SECULOGIC T 320
4.5 Description of basic functions
4.5.1 Short-term unlock
Short -term unlock is the authorised, time-limited release of the emergency route locking device. During the
short -term unlock time the door can be passed through without triggering an alarm. It is triggered via the internal key-operated push button or an external control device connected to the 'short-term unlock' input.
4.5.2 Abort with short-term unlock
With continuous short-term the door locks ahead of time when the door is closed before expiry of the short -term
unlock time. This prevents accessibility for unauthorised persons after somebody has passed through the door.
4.5.3 After-trigger with short-term unlock
The unlock time restarts if a short-term unlock is triggered again during the release time.
4.5.4 Pre-alarm
If the release time is exceeded during passing through, an acoustic signal is output which informs the user that
the short -term unlock time has been exceeded. If the door is closed during a pending pre-alarm it is automatically locked and the pre-alarm is reset.
Commissioning
4.5.5 Door alarm
The door alarm is triggered if the pre-alarm time is exceeded. The door alarm must be reset via the internal key
switch or via a short-term release. If the door is closed during a pending door alarm, it is locked and can only
be unlocked again when the alarm has been reset (except with actuation of the emergency button or with
emergency unlock). The door alarm is also triggered with a 'door break-in'.
4.5.6 Unlocked
The current supply to the interlocking element is permanently interrupted. The door can be passed through
without triggering an alarm.
4.5.7 Locked
The interlocking element is fed with current via the door control unit. The emergency route locking device is
'active' and passing through for unauthorised persons is only possible via the emergency button (alarm is triggered).
4.5.8 Emergency unlock
The TZ 320 can be emergency unlocked via the re alarm system or hazard alarm system (burglar alarm system/
hazard alarm system/smoke and heat venting system). This is a non security-relevant interruption of current
supply to the interlocking element.
4.5.9 Direct release (according to EltVTR)
Security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism via an opening contact
by actuating the emergency button.
4.5.10 Indirect release (according to EltVTR)
Security-relevant interruption of electric power supply to the electric locking mechanism if a further switching operation is triggered upon activating the emergency button via the opening contact which then interrupts power
supply to the electric locking mechanism.
