Sentrol’s 6000 Series now includes the PI6000
designed to meet the growing need for pet immunity in
residential settings. If you have customers with small
pets or rodent problems*, you no longer have to mount
PIRs at 3-4 feet and change to pet alley lenses.
Instead, simply mount the PI6000 at standard mounting
height (7-8 ft.). The PI6000’s unique optical design
optimizes the amount of infrared energy passing
through the lens to the pyroelectric sensor. These
signals flow through a series of gates in our custom
ASIC where the PIR then analyzes the size, speed and
shape of the electrical signal, so it’s able to discriminate
small pets or rodents from intruders.
The PI6000 lens design is optimized for pet immunity
while the 6000 incorporates a “quick catch”, high-density
lens design. Both the PI6000 and 6000 feature easy-toinstall housing, sealed optics, an opaque Fresnel lens
and either 2 or 3-pulse mode settings. The 6000 Series
provides the false alarm immunity typically seen only in
much more expensive commercial PIRs.
The PI6000 ships with a 40' pet immunity lens while
the 6000 ships with a more dense 35' lens.
*Up to 30 lb pet immunity includes any number of cats, dogs or
rodents provided total weight for the combined animals does not
exceed 30 lbs and installation instructions are strictly followed.
