Product to Control Fugitive Dust
DusTreat* DC9131E dust management product is
designed to:
Provide short or long term control of fugitive
dust emissions (>90% dust reduction for many
materials)
Reduce explosion hazards
Reduce inventory losses and pile run off
Improve working conditions, community
relations and protect the environment
Description and Use
DusTreat DC9131E is a liquid binding agent
designed to effect long-term dust control by bulk
agglomeration & adhesion after dry-out. It reduces
the formation of fugitive dust from material storage
piles and is also effective at controlling dust
emission at material transfer points. It is selfemulsifying when mixed with water for easy
application.
Typical Applications
DusTreat DC9131E was specially developed for hot
(up to 175C) as well as cold substrates and is
suitable for use on a wide variety of solid materials
including coal, limestone, calcined coke, taconite,
ores, fly-ash, mine tailings and waste materials.
Treatment and Feeding Requirements
Solution concentration (up to 10%) and dosage level
depends upon the nature of the material to be
treated and the required level of dust suppression.
All binders can be applied using simple wet spray
systems and some can be applied with foaming
agents. Dosage and feeding guidelines are available from your local GE representative.

Appearance: Yellow to amber liquid
pH (5% emulsion) : approx. 5.5 - 6.0
Density: 0.90 kg/L
Viscosity: approx. 120 - 200 mPa s @ 20°C
