Smart Functions for Easy
Operation

The new series of electric actuators from GF Piping Systems provides the highest reliability
and ease of use. With smart additional functions, these actuators are ahead of their time.

Features & Benefi ts

Clear display

In addition to the standard display, there is colour LED feed­back. This enables easy and fast detection of the operating
status at a glance – whether in low light conditions or from a
distance. The di erent colours show the respective position
of the actuator. The integrated relays allow feedback from up
to three di erent actuating positions.

Easy set-up

Digital 360° position detection is used to clearly identify the
actuating position. Ex factory, the actuator is adjusted to 0°
and 90°. Readjustment by the user is possible at any time on
site via four buttons. The buttons are easy to operate without
any additional tools.

Intelligent feedback

The 7-segment error display ensures the highest level of
security in case of a problem. Through various error codes,
the cause of a problem can be clearly identifi ed. A time and
labour-intensive search is no longer necessary. Whether it’s
undervoltage, a position error or use of the emergency
manual override – the display facilitates the identifi cation of
disruptions. The ‘ready-to-operate’ signal gives feedback on
the process control system. The signal will drop in case of
failure.

Universally Applicable
Thanks to its Unlimited Flexibility

The standard interface ensures the use on various standard valves. Both for butterfl y
valves and ball valves, with and without manual override – the modularity is adapted to
your needs. You get even more variety by being able to program a third position in addition
to the end positions. This function can not only be used for a 2-way ball valve, but can also
serve as an optimal middle position for a vertical or horizontal 3-way ball valve.

Accessories

The electric actuators EA15-250 can always be upgraded with smart accessories. Various additional
functions provide the user with optimal automation possibilities. Corresponding circuit boards can be
easily and quickly plugged into the housing.

Monitoring board for on/off operation (EA25-250)

The monitoring board allows four functions. Using it, the
positioning time can be extended and monitored without
much programming e ort. In addition, a cycle counter and
motor current monitor are integrated.

Fail-safe return unit (EA15-250)

The fail-safe return unit ensures that during a power failure
the actuator will be returned to a safety position. This
addition can be integrated into the case without external
wiring.

Positioner (EA25-250)

The positioner continuously regulates any valve position
proportional to a pending set value. In addition, the motor
current monitor is also integrated here, in order to set a
limit for the torque.

Profi bus (EA25-250)

This accessory enables easy integration into an existing
Profi bus network. You will receive a Profi bus DP V0 capable
compact actuator with two M12 connectors for connection.
