IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS.
When using electrical appliances, always follow basic safety precautions to

• The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the appliance manufacturer

• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an
appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• To disconnect, turn power off, then remove plug
from wall outlet.
• Be sure removable plates are assembled and
fastened properly (see ATTACHING THE PLATES).
• Do not use this appliance for other than
intended use.
• The appliance is only to be operated in the closed
position.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric
shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully
into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt
to modify the plug in any way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a
tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of
the outer cover. To reduce the risk of re or
electric shock, do not attempt to remove the
outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside. Repair should be done only by authorized
service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
1) A short power-supply cord is provided to
reduce the risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2) Extension cords are available and may be used
if care is exercised in their use.
3) If an extension cord is used:
a) The marked electrical rating of the extension
cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance; and
b) The cord should be arranged so that it will
not drape over the counter top or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over.
Note: If the power cord is damaged, please
contact the warranty department listed in these
instructions.

HOW TO USE
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the plastic band around the
power plug.
• Remove and save literature.
• Please visit www.prodprotect.com/georgeforeman to register your warranty.
• Before rst use, wash grill, plates, and grease tray according to instructions in
the CARE AND CLEANING section of this manual.
USING DUAL GRILL POSITION STAND
1. For sloped cooking of foods like burgers or chicken: Flip
the Dual Grill Position Stand out away from the grill. (A)
2. For horizontal cooking: foods like paninis or hot dogs
using the grill plates, or using the wafe plates or the
bake pan. Flip the Dual Grill Position Stand underneath
the grill. (B)

ATTACHING THE PLATES
Important: Never power on this appliance without both
cooking plates securely attached.
Caution: Attach grill plates when the appliance is cool.
1. Securely attach top grill plate using the release tabs on
each side. To secure the plate, insert the tabs at the
bottom of the plate into the slots closest to the hinge. Push the plate onto the
grill until the release tabs snap into place.
2. Securely attach bottom grill plate using the release tabs as described in Step 1.

PREHEATING THE GRILL
• Close cover on grill.
• Unwind cord and plug it into standard electrical outlet. The grill will beep and
the power indicator light (the light above the POWER button) will illuminate and
blink red.
• Press the POWER button to turn the grill on; “350F” will blink on the Time/
Temperature display.
• Set your desired temperature by rst pressing the TEMP button, then by
tapping one or the other Time/Temperature increase/decrease buttons until the
temperature you want appears in the display. Temperature settings change in 25
degree increments.
Note: While preheating, the Time/Temperature display will ash until desired
temperature is reached.
• When the desired temperature is reached: the grill will beep, the Time/
Temperature display will stop ashing, and the light above the TEMP button will
illuminate green.

GRILLING
• Place drip tray under the front edge of the grill.
• Using a pot holder, carefully open the preheated grill.
Note: Aerosol cooking spray should not be used on grill plates. Chemicals can build
up on surface of grill plates and reduce their efciency.
• Carefully place foods to be cooked on lower grilling plate. Close lid.
Note: Do not overload grill.
• Close cover and allow food to cook for desired time. (See Suggested
Cooking Chart)
• When nished cooking, unplug the appliance to cool.
• Using pot holder or oven mitts carefully open lid and remove food.
Note: Always use heatproof plastic, nylon or wood utensils to avoid scratching
nonstick surface of grill plates. Never use metal skewers, tongs, forks or knives.
• Allow the drip tray to cool before removing it from under the grill. Wash and dry
the drip tray after each use. Drip tray is dishwasher safe on top rack.
USING ADJUSTABLE COOKING HEIGHT
This grill has a unique hinge that allows the grill cover to adjust to the thickness
of food. For even browning and cooking, when grilling more than one sandwich or
piece of meat, it is important that the thickness of each be about the same.
SUGGESTED GRILLING CHART
The following are meant to be used as a guideline only. Times reect full grill of food.
Cooking time will depend upon thickness and cut being used. Use cooking thermometer as test for doneness. If food needs longer cooking, check periodically to avoid
overcooking food.

Please note: To be sure your food is fully cooked the USDA recommends the
following guidelines: Use a meat thermometer to test for doneness by inserting
the meat thermometer into the center of the food being cooked and make sure the
thermometer is not touching the bone.
GRILLING TIPS:
• To prevent heat loss and promote even cooking, do not open the grill cover
frequently while cooking.
• This grill generally accommodates 6 servings; do not overload
• When rst cooking a particular food, check for doneness several minutes before
suggested time; if necessary, adjust timer using control button.
• If cooking more than one piece of food, try to have them similar in size and
thickness.
• Remember that since grill is cooking from both sides, cooking time will typically
be shorter than expected. Watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
• For added avor, add dry seasonings before grilling or marinate foods before
cooking.
BAKE PAN
Important: When using this plate, make sure the grill is in a
completely horizontal (at) position. (C)
Important: Do not use bake pan to fry food.
1. If using the bake pan, securely attach top grill plate to
top of grill and securely attach bake pan to bottom of
the grill.
Important: When attaching the plates, be sure they are securely attached.
2. When nished using the bake pan, use pot holders or oven mitts to remove it.
3. Place on wire rack to cool.

WAFFLE PLATES
Important: When using these plates, make sure the grill is in a completely horizontal
(at) position. (C)
1. When cooking wafes, securely attach upper and lower wafe plates.
2. Set temperature at 425º F (220°C) and allow grill to preheat for at least 5 minutes.
3. Wafes take about 8 minutes to cook to golden brown.

CARE AND CLEANING
Caution: To avoid accidental burns, allow your grill to cool completely.
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualied
service personnel.
1. Empty the drip tray, clean with warm, soapy water. Wipe dry.
2. To remove the plates, press the release tabs on both sides of the plates and
remove from the grill. The plates can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand
with hot, soapy water; always dry plates thoroughly before reattaching.
3. Wipe outside of unit with a warm, wet sponge. Dry with soft, dry cloth.
4. DO NOT use steel wool, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners on any part
of the grill.
5. DO NOT immerse grill in water or any other liquid. Only the removable plates
and drip tray can be immersed.
6. Make sure to hold the lid open by hand while cleaning to prevent accidental
closing and injury.
7. Any servicing requiring disassembly other than the above cleaning must be
performed by a qualied service personnel.

RECIPES
CHICKEN TENDERS WITH FIERY FRUIT MARINADE
Ingredients:
1 lb. chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
¼ cup prepared hot salsa
¼ cup fresh lime, orange, or papaya juice
1 Tbsp. canola oil
2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. salt
Directions:
1. Set cooking temperature at 350˚ F. Allow grill to preheat.
2. Meanwhile, cut chicken into 1" strips.
3. To make marinade, in a medium sized bowl whisk the salsa, juice, oil, cilantro,
cumin, and salt.
4. Add chicken tenders and mix with marinade to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at
least 10 minutes to blend avors.
5. Remove chicken. Discard marinade. Place chicken tenders on preheated grill
and cook for 4 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into center registers
180°F.
HARVEST HAM PANINI
Ingredients:
2 slice of whole grain bread
2 ounces deli ham
½ apple or pear, thinly sliced
¼ cup shredded 2% cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon butter
(optional) Thinly sliced onion
Directions:
1. Set cooking temperature at 425˚ F. Allow grill to preheat.
2. Spread ½ tablespoon butter on each slice of bread.
3. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, on grill. Top rst slice of bread with
ham, apple/pear, onion, cheese. Add remaining slice of bread, butter side up, to
panini.
4. Close grill and set timer for 5 minutes. If panini is not cooked to desired doneness,
grill for an additional 1–2 minutes.
