POLARIZED PLUG (USA/MEXICO)
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
GROUNDED PLUG (CANADA)
As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will only t into a three­prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of electric shock. Consult a qualied electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

ELECTRICAL CORD
1. A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
3. If an extension cord is used:
a) The marked electrical rating of the extension
cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
b) If the appliance is of the grounded type,
the extension cord should be a grounding 3-wire cord.
c) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or unintentionally tripped over.
Note: If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified personnel; in Latin America, by an authorized service center.

HOW TO USE
This product is for household use only.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material, any stickers, and the plastic band around the power plug.
• Remove and save literature.
• Please visit www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty.
• Before rst use, wipe the cooking surface with a damp cloth or sponge and wash two removable drip trays according to the instructions in the CARE AND CLEANING section of this manual.
Important: Do not immerse temperature control probe in water or any other liquid. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Caution: Some counter top nishes are more affected by heat than others; make sure the counter top surface can withstand temperatures of 150°F to prevent discoloration or other damage to counter top surface.
USING YOUR DUAL SURFACE GRIDDLE + GRILL™
This George Foreman Dual Surface Griddle + Grill™ features a at cooking surface in the center to griddle your favorite foods, and two sloped grilling surfaces to draw away the fat for fast and healthy meals.
1. Slide the removable drip trays into place in the two front sides of the unit.
2. To preheat: Turn the temperature control knob to the OFF position. Insert the temperature control probe into the probe receptacle. Plug the cord into a standard electrical cord outlet. Select the desired temperature setting on the temperature control probe. The power light on the temperature control will illuminate.
Note: The power light will cycle on and off, as needed, to maintain the set temperature.
3. Allow the unit to preheat. The unit is preheated when the light turns off.
4. Carefully place items to be cooked on the desired cooking surface. The at center of the unit is ideal for griddled foods, such as pancakes, eggs, and French toast. The two, sloped surfaces are ideal for grilling foods and draining fat.
5. Allow food to cook, turning halfway through cooking time, if needed.
Important: Do not leave appliance unattended during use!
6. When nished cooking, turn the temperature control knob to the OFF position. Disconnect plug from wall outlet.
7. Remove food using silicone, plastic or wooden utensils to prevent scratching the cooking surface. Never use metal tongs, forks or knives as these can damage the coating.
8. Cool appliance completely before cleaning.

COOKING GUIDE
The following chart is meant to be used as a guideline only. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the food and your desired doneness. To be sure your food is cooked, USDA recommends using a meat thermometer to test for doneness. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the meat until temperature stabilizes.

CARE AND CLEANING
Caution: To avoid accidental burns,
allow your unit to cool completely before cleaning.
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualied service personnel.
1. Empty the drip trays, clean with warm, soapy water. Wipe dry.
2. Wipe outside of unit with a warm, wet sponge. Dry with soft, dry cloth.
3. DO NOT use steel wool, abrasive scouring pads or abrasive cleaners on any part
of the grill.
4. DO NOT immerse grill or probe in water or any other liquid.
5. Any servicing requiring disassembly, other than the above cleaning, must be
performed by qualied service personnel.
RECIPES
REUBEN SANDWICH
Prep time: 10 min. Total time: 15 min.
Servings: 2 sandwiches
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. Thousand Island dressing 1 tsp. ketchup 4 slices rye bread 1 Tbsp. butter, softened 1/4 lb. sliced corned beef 1/4 cup sauerkraut, well drained 2 slices Swiss cheese
Directions:
Preheat griddle on setting #3. Mix dressing and ketchup; set aside. Spread each bread slice with butter on one side only. Place bread slices buttered
side down on grill portion of griddle. Grill 3 to 4 min. or until golden brown. Place meat and sauerkraut on center portion of griddle; heat 3 to 4 min. Fill bread slices with meat, sauerkraut, cheese and dressing mixture.
TIP: Make your Reuben a Rachel by substituting thinly sliced turkey for corned beef.

CHICKEN FAJITAS
Prep time: 25 min. (including refrigeration time) Total time: 35 min.
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil 1 medium green bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into strips 1 medium red bell pepper, cored, seeded and cut into strips 1 medium onion, sliced 1 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. cumin 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. kosher salt 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice 1 ½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breast, pounded to ½-inch thickness 8 (8-inch) our tortillas
Directions:
Place oil into a small mixing bowl. Add peppers and onions; toss to coat. Set aside. Spoon spices into a sealable plastic bag. Add lime juice and chicken, seal and gently
knead chicken to coat. Refrigerate 15-30 minutes. Preheat griddle on setting #4. Cook chicken on grill portion of griddle 10-12 minutes,
turning half way through cooking, until done (165°F). Remove chicken; let stand 3 minutes. Cut chicken into strips.
Place peppers and onions on grill; cook, turning frequently until tender crisp, about 4 min. Remove from griddle; keep warm.
Heat tortillas on griddle about 1 min. per side. To serve, spoon chicken, pepper mixture and your choice of toppings down center of
tortillas; fold in half.

RISE AND SHINE BREAKFAST SANDWICH
Prep time: 5 min. Total time: 10 min.
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. butter, softened 2 English Mufns, split 2 (1 oz.) slices breakfast ham 2 eggs 2 American cheese slices
Directions:
Preheat griddle on setting #3. Spread butter on cut sides of English mufns. Place mufns, cut side down on grill
portion of griddle, and ham and eggs on center griddle. Cook 4 min. or until desired doneness, turning eggs and ham half way through cooking.
Fill toasted mufns with ham, eggs and cheese.
TIPS: Substitute precooked pork sausage patties for ham. Wrap sandwiches in aluminum foil to take on the go.
FRENCH TOAST WITH BERRIES
Prep time: 5 min. Total time: 10 min.
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
2 eggs 2 egg whites
¼ cup low fat milk ½ tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat griddle to setting #4. Place eggs, egg whites, milk and cinnamon into a shallow bowl; stir to mix. Dip bread slices into milk mixture until completely soaked. Place bread on griddle; cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Place French toast on plates and top with one Tbsp. agave nectar and ½ cup berries.
