8. TRANS PO RT / STO RAGE
To prevent fuel spillage when t ransport ing or during t emporary storage, the
generator should be secured upright in its normal operating posit ion, with the
engine switch OFF.
The fuel cap vent lever is turned fully count erclockwise to the OFF position.
LOO K O UT:
When transport ing the generator:
-Do not let the gas spill out of the gasoline tank. (The top of the gas-filling t ank
should have no gas.)
-When the generator is placed on vehicle, do not run t he engine. You should
take the generator down from the car and operate it in the draught .
-When you take the generator to the car, avoid exposing it to sunshine. If it is
put in sealed carriage for a long time, the high temperat ure of the carriage may
cause t he gas to boiling away, thus leads t o burn.
-Do not drive on a rough road for an extended period with the generator on
board. If you must t ransport the generator on a rough road, drain the fuel from
the generator before hand.
Before storing the unit for an extende d period:
1. Make sure the storage area is clean and dry.
2. Drain all gasoline from t he fuel tank into an approved gasoline container.
LOO K O UT:
- Gas is very easy t o burn or explode under specific conditions.
- Smoke and flame are strictly forbidden near the gas.
A. Discharge the gas in the gasoline tank t horoughly into a proper container.
B. T urn t he engine swit ch t o the OFF position, and tighten the drain screw
securely.
