The DWS350SSQ is ideal instrument for spotchecking the temperature of food, liquids, laboratory
solutions and specimens, soil, and ambient or forced
air. It responds 10 times more quickly than the
average stem thermometer.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX
The DWS350SSQ comes in a white box along with
this user’s manual. An “LR44” button battery is
preinstalled in the battery compartment.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To begin, carefully remove and discard the clear
plastic film protecting the entire oval control panel.
Then pull the thermometer from its sheath and press
the

pushed within any span of 10 minutes.

Powering the thermometer off also resets the
MIN/MAX memory. Resetting the MIN/MAX memory
clears both values; you cannot independently reset
one stored value but not the other.
To calibrate the DWS350SSQ:
1. Power on the unit.
2. Insert the probe into a cup containing a slurry of
crushed ice and water at least 1 in. deep. Be sure
that the end of the probe is not touching the
bottom of the cup.
3. Wait 10 seconds until the reading stabilizes near
32.0°F

MAINTENANCE TIPS
To replace the battery:
1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the
unit by placing a coin in the slot of the cover and

that General determines to be from an attempted
repair by non-authorized personnel or misuse,
alterations, normal wear and tear, or accidental
