AIR VELOCITY MEASUREMENTS
Measurement Range Resolution
0.0 TO 45.0 m/s (Meters per second) 0.1
0.0 TO 140.0 km/hr (Kilometers per hour) 0.1
0.0 TO 100.0 mph (Miles per hour) 0.1

0.0 TO 88.0 knots (Nautical miles per hour) 0.1
Accuracy: ±2% for all ranges
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Unpack the Anemometer with care.
Open the battery door and install 3 “AAA” batteries into the battery compartment.
Close the battery door.
Replace batteries when the Low Battery Indicator appears on the screen.
PRODUCT OPERATION:
ON/OFF
Press “ON/OFF” for ON/OFF Switching. Full display will show. The upper display
shows the velocity (default as m/s) VELO sign, while the lower display shows the
temperature (default as °F) measured.
ONE HOUR AUTO POWER OFF FUNCTION & CANCELLATION:
Product will turn off automatically after one hour. To disable this function, press
“ON/OFF” and “H/T” together each time the unit is turned on. The product will
remain “ON” until being shut-off by the user.
UNIT
The unit default is in ft/min for air velocity. Pressing the UNIT button cycles as
follows: ft/min > mph > m/s > km/hr > knots.
HOLD-TEST
Press the HOLD button to freeze the reading for recording (both velocity and
temperature), HOLD sign appears. Press again to return to real time mode.
°F/°C
Press °F/°C button to switch between °F and °C.

IR VELOCITY MEASUREMENT
A
AVG/MAX/MIN (Single Point) reading for continuous moving average measurement
a) Press once and the unit will show the continuous moving average
easurement of velocity (AVG), maximum measurement (MAX) and minimum
m
measurement (MIN) as follows: AVG > MAX (both Temp & Velocity) > MIN (both
Temp & Velocity) > Real Time Reading
b) Relevant sign appears on the display and reading updates per second.
c) To clear the value, press and hold the key for three (3) seconds. 2 successive
beeps will be heard.
AVG (MULTI POINT)
a) Hold the unit in position, press the “HOLD” button to freeze the reading (both
velocity and temperature).
b) Then press the “MEM” button to save the reading. (A single beep is given out
for every successful saving). MEM 1 will be displayed representing one reading
is saved.
c) To save another reading Repeat steps (a) – (b), MEM 2 displays representing
2 readings are saved.
d) Continue to save readings. Up to 10 sets of readings can be saved.
e) Once all measurements have been saved, press “AVG (Multi Point)” button.
The unit will display the average air velocity from memory and the AVG sign
appears.
MEM (MEMORY RECALLING)
a) Press the “MEM” button. All saved readings (both temperature and velocity)
will be shown sequentially starting from the 1st reading (i.e. MEM 1) to the
10th reading (i.e. MEM 10).
b) Press and hold the “MEM” button for 3 seconds to clear all saved readings.
AIR FLOW VOLUME MEASUREMENT
(1) SINGLE POINT MEASUREMENT
a) Measure and determine the free area of the air source (sq. ft.).
b) Press the “AIR FLOW” button for 3 seconds to define the free area. The display
shows AREA sign and first digit of 1.111 sq feet flashes.
c) Press the “HOLD” button to increase number of the flashing digit.
d) Press “AVG (Multi Point)” button to sequentially move to the next digit. Repeat
until the 4 digit number is set correctly.
e) Press the “AIR FLOW” button. The defined free area is saved and the unit is
now ready to measure air flow (CFM) and the FLOW sign appears. Value shows
on the upper display.
(2) AVERAGE FOR MULTI POINT MEASUREMENT
Press and hold the “AVG (multi point)” button for 3 seconds to clear current
average readings in the Velocity/FPM mode.
a) Repeat steps (a) to (e) from the AVG (multi point) steps in the Air Velocity
section to determine all multi point average readings.
b) Press the “AIR FLOW” button for 3 seconds and unit will enter the free area
setting.
c) Repeat steps (a) to (e) in above section 1 (Air Flow Volume Measurement) to
default free area setting.
c) Press “AIR FLOW” button to confirm and unit enters the CFM mode. The unit
will display the Average Air Flow reading and the number of points measured.
Value shows on the upper display.
PRECAUTIONS
Remove the batteries from the anemometer if the unit will not be used for a long
duration of time or during storage.
The thermometer cannot be used or put in any operating oven or microwave.
