Pocket-hole joinery or pocket-screw joinery is one of
the best methods for joining two pieces of wood to
ever come down the pike. Fixing a squeaky chair, or
a wiggly table, is as easy as adding a few pocket

holes and screws to pull the separating pieces
together. General’s Pocket Hole Screws No. 8497
and 8498 are used specifically for this purpose and
are offered in both fine and coarse thread.

POCKET HOLE PLUGS

Pocket Holes are often hidden from sight on the back
surface of a face frame, under a table top, or on the
back of picture frame. What do you do about
unattractive pocket holes that will be visible on a
finished product the answer? Pocket hole plugs!

A fluted dowel pin has a series of parallel grooves
cut along its length providing channels through
which excess glue—that is used to secure the
dowel pin in its hole—can escape as the dowel is
